Moonkit's gave shot up to the approaching visitor, but she remained quiet nevertheless.

Puff hissed and tromped out of camp because of Firechaser's obvious indifference. "I'll hunt!" she thought. "By the time I'm finished, I'll have killed a pack of gazelle!" She stubbornly ignored the stinging where she had been bitten and half-limped on.

Flamestorm jumped to his paws. "Wait! I'll teach you how to hunt! I'm sorry, I was just thinking..." his eyes clouded with unhappiness. "Come back!"

Puff hesitated, and turned, hissing, trudging towards Firewhisker. "Hmmph..."

Autumnkit atempted to stand, but failed and crumpled over her mother's tail. She mewled with complaint.


Moonfrost hesitantly dragged the rabbit further into the den. Soon the sweet scent of mother's milk came into reach, along with the comforting warmth that surrounded the den's walls. "Here. I thought you might be hungry now." she pointed to the white hare she brought with her tail. "You had your kits!" she nearly jumped with surprise when she looked back over.
