Chapter 8

Vixen and I are back to normal, thank goodness, I was getting a bit frazzeled and annoyed with that straight and perfect hair. Now I have my curly and cronically messy hair, as my mother sometimes calls it, back. Harvey and Winter got called onto a mission together, so now its just Vixen, Runa, Jake and I for the rest of the summer, I guess, unless we get called on a mission.. Which I hope doesn't happen. Vixen isn't in trouble anymore, and she wasn't mad at me for getting her in trouble, I mean, what was I supposed to do? Let Alwein kiss me and not slug him, I mean, seriously? Alwein wrote us a note, it read this;

I have changed myself back into a human again, and I want you to meet me at the Arcade for a chat. I'm not up to anything bad, I swear.

"Yeah right.." I muttered, as we skidded down the stairs to go meet him. We went into the arcade, and sure enough, there was Alwein, though it must've had a sideffect because he was licking his hand. We walked over and sat down. "What do you want?" Jake asked, his voice hostile and he was sitting quite close to Runa, he didn't trust Alwein. At least I'm not alone, I thought. "I'm not going to be bad anymore, I promise you. I'm just gonna be a normal boy." He said. I didn't believe my ears, my truth shone in his pale, baby blue eyes. Vixen nodded. "But why, may I ask?" She said, looking happy it was her voice, not mine talking. I grinned. "Because, its just no fun, I mean, I always lose." Alwein said, Runa laughed a little. He was switching sides because he always lost? Geez. I thought, chuckling a little myself. "I must be off then, lots to do at home." He said, and stood up. We didn't move, and as he passed Runa, Jake twitched. He had a right to be angry, because Alwein pecked Runa, on the lips, and sped off. Runa turned totally red, she was blushing and angry at the same time. Jake freaked out, and Vixen, Runa and I all had to hold him back. "I AM GONNA GET A MACHINE GUN AN-" We covered his mouth, and went back upstairs and into our hotel room, where Jake kept raving and ranting. This was gonna be one heck of a summer, and we still had a whole month left.
