People always say that things are just black and white, there is no in between, it's a yes or no question. But what about the grey area in people's lives where you feel uncertain of yourself? Who are you again? What's your cliche, posse, where do you fit into the puzzle?

`Plot
They've arrived. The school is practically bursting with how many kids have shown up for the start of term, but that doesn't mean life is going to get any easier for them. There is rumors, of a group of mortals who want the kids powers for their own, and they're going to do anything in their power to get them.
The school seems like the safest place, enclosed in it's own cloaking device and force field, made by the headmaster himself, I mean, you can't really get safer than that, unless you add to the fact it's on top of a mountain... But I digress.
The Sorpor are here, and they're sending kids into the school to infiltrate it and kill off all the most powerful kids.
Which is pretty much everyone.
So watch your back, yeah? Don't want to suddenly find a knife through it.

Age - You don't have to put when they were born, but I don't really care.
Grade - 9th through 12th
Description - Please, make this as detailed as possible. You can use a picture if you make it on a Character maker, and there are generators out there that give you a written description. Just nothing copy-written, and make it more than just a couple of sentences.
Personality - It can be will unfold, but this sometimes ties in with the character's History, so feel free to put what you want.
History - Please, put this, if this is the only detailed thing you put. Everyone has a different background, and this is why you are coming to the school in the first place!
Powers - Wait, What?! REBECCA MADE A POWER SECTION. PWNSOME. Yeah, I did. xD Have fun coming up with some powers, it can range from elemental to something like telekinesis. Just, try not to make them a Mary Sue/Gary Stu or I won't except you.

Full Name - Leeman, Kara Luis

Age - 14

Grade - ninth

Description - She is a tall straight-haired blonde, with brown highlights, that wave in her hair. She has a sporty feel to her, and is usually in a track suit, and sneakers. She doesn't wear much make-up, she perfers the natural look. Her eyes, are blue-green, and in her right eye, she has a slice of bright green at the bottom. Her body is skinny and athletic, she could be a cheer-leader if she wanted to, but perfers to be the one on the track, being cheered for.
Personality - Will unfold, but I will give you some now, she is sporty, and loves to win. She isn't obbssed with winning, though.

History - She had a hard past, coming from a rich family, she was ashamed of. She didn't like having everything, while everyone else had so much less, so she ran away. Her parents finally found her, and when they discovered her powers, they were disgusted, so when she got her letter, they happily said 'good-bye' to her.

Powers - She can shape-shift into any animal, but if she does one she hasn't seen before, it drains her strength, and she has to stay in that form long enough to regain her lost power. She also can speak to animals, which she has always loved.

Other - She always wears a star-shaped necklace, that her mom gave her when she was little, and her dad gave her a cresant moon-shaped braclet to match.

Full Name - Sean, Alice Lee
Age - Fourteen
Grade - 9th
Description - The first thing you'll notice about Alice is how short she is. She isn't a dwarf, just hasn't hit her growth spurt yet. Alice has long, curly blond hair which is jagged and rough at the ends, a little under her shoulder blades. Being in the sun often her hair as golden or tan highlights every now and then. Alice's eyes are a bright, pale blue eyes, but you notice darker blue shards if her stand about two or three feet away. She is fairly thin because she's a picky eater. She's a darker tan color, and looks even darker in the sun. Alice has a couple freckles around the bridge of her nose, but that's about it. Her regular outfit is a plain t-shirt or tanktop, and when it's cold she wears her favorite blue and white striped sweatshirt. She's never seen with a skirt on, but she'll wear sun dresses if she feels like it. Her normal shoes are pitch black tennis shoes or sandals.
Personality - Alice is one of those girls that is quiet when she doesn't know someone, but to her friends or someone she likes, she can't stop talking. Alice has a fair sense of humor, but most people don't know that. She loves to work with computers and read. Shhe's smart and clever, but usually keeps her knowledge to herself, unless someone asks. Alice's quiet personality is caused by people teasing her constantly about her height, and she only trusts those close to her. She also likes to plan and organize things. In classes she pretends to pay attention, and when a teacher calls on her, she's likely to stutter. When Alice has a good amount of free time, she loves to day dream and create things, and just let her imagination flow. She also likes to draw or doodle on thngs.
History - Alice grew up in a small town on the borders of Paris. She learned to speak french when she was little. When she was ten her father died of lung cancer, leaving her mother, aunt and her with no money. They moved to New York City a couple months later. Alice was always bullied there, not knowing much english. That's why she's always so quiet these days. Her mother and Aunt always expected her to be the best, do the best she can and never get things wrong. When she was twelve, her mother and Aunt died in a car crash, and she moved in with a good friend of her moms, and lived a good life with her to this day. She still has her bristish accent also. When she got the letter, Alice claims that was the happiest moment in her life. She had powers and was going to a school with kids just like her.
Powers - Alice can read peoples thoughts and emotions if they are standing within seven feet of her. She can also do anything involving water like, breath underwater, control it, ect. But there has to be water near and after she gets tired easily after she used this power.
Other - I don't think so. I'm sorry if my Grammar and spelling stinks, my computer is acting up.

Full Name - Mone, Jin Ezekiel

Age - Fifth teen

Grade - 10th

Description - Jin has a very interesting way of dressing. First of all, he has long hair that is white but slowly grows darker to a grey/black. His hair usually reaches his shoulders and rests upon it. He usually wears darker shirts, with colors like maroon or black. However, this all depends on his mood. Jin has heterochromatic eyes, which means that his left eye is one color (in this case blue) while the right eye is another (Grey). Jin is sickeningly pale, and does not tan well. He also has a small stomach, and gets full quickly, so he is as thin as he is pale. When in his dorm, he usually wears his dark blue jeans and a ripped black t-shirt. He doesn't own any shoes, thus he goes around barefoot.

Personality - Jin is very theatrical. He has the ability to act, which he loves with a passion. He likes to make people laugh, whether it is by a funny accent or a joke he read or heard. However, he can try to be a romantic guy if he likes someone. He isn't very good, but he tries. He does have a downfall though; he isn't very good at standing up for himself, and will submit into anything, or in the case of two, the more convincing choice. He can get very self-concious of himself, and will eat less than he should in order to get skinnier or lose body fat. It doesn't have to make sense to you, as long as it makes sense to himself.

History - Jin was given to an orphanage a couple days after he had been born in the suburbs of New York City. As you can imagine, it was hard to be adopted in such a place, and after years after years of waiting, he was tired of being disappointed after everyone he ever knew he had gone. He thought that it would be better to die trying to survive than live in a place where it didn't matter. So when he was twelve, he had escaped and lived off garbage cans and stolen foods from vendors. He had seen the beautiful people on the billboards and commercials in Time Square and other places, and he though that maybe if he looked like one, he could get noticed and live a better life. One time he had snuck into a broadway show and was amazed at the beautiful spectacles he saw, and loved it ever since. Sometimes he found free meals coupons in the mail, which was the day he found the letter that admitted him, or someone else, into the school. This could've turned his whole life around, and knowing he was steeling someones education, he would've loved to know who. However, when he opened the letter, it said his name. To this day, he never knew how it could've been.

Powers - Jin's first power is to copy things. It is quite easy to tell apart the original from the fakes, as the copies are shadowy figures, while the original remains the same. However, duplicating something also means it must share the energy, or if it were something like food, less taste. The second ability is to be able to increase or decrease the buoyancy of something or someone. However, he must be completely focused on it, or else it will return to it's original state.

Full Name - Night, Jay Nathaniel

Age - May 13th, 1996

Grade - 9th

Description - Jay has shorter dark brown hair which never seems to lay flat. His eyes are a dark brown which are about the same color as freshly laid soil. Jay has a tall and gangly appearance which usually depicts him older than he actually is. He stands at about 5' 6 1/2" His skin is traditionally pale from the lack of sunlight in Northern Oregon. Jay traditionally wears jeans and a simple black or white t-shirt. Jay also will wear a hoodie with dark blue and silver colors to support his favorite baseball team. He wears a shark tooth necklace, which was given to him by his now deceased great grandfather.

Personality - Jay is generally easy-going and doesn't get set off by a lot of things. Jay will often quote from his favorite books to fit the situation. He has a very sarcastic attitude which will sometimes get onto some peoples nerves. Jay doesn't have a very high self-esteem, he usually will put down himself if somebody else complements him. He has really strong political and religious beliefs. If it was up to Jay, he'd be camping all of the time. One of the only thing that makes him yell, is if someone doesn't pull their weight in any sort of project or activity.

History - Jay's lived in Northern Oregon all of his life. Jay highly dislikes his distant family and has rarely ever showed any sign of affection to his grandparents or uncles and aunts, except for his great grandfather whom died when he was nine. Jay's never been outside of the western U.S. and has always had a desire to visit Washington D.C. and Venice, Italy. When Jay was eleven, both his parents died in a bad car crash, which made him and his siblings orphans. Him and his siblings were forced into a foster home, because none of his relatives were able to take care of him.

Powers - Jay can control fire, and the heat. For instance, if he was in a room without a fireplace and it was below zero, he could cause the room to heat up and become comfortable. He also can run faster than the speed of sound, without any side effects except for exhaustion.

Other - Nope. Not really.

I'm going to go ahead and start off my character!

Term was about to start.
That was the only thought that was able to run through Rebecca Reece's head as she thought of her parent's faces as she said good-bye to them all the way back in Tennessee. Her flight had lasted over twenty-four hours, and now, she was finally here. All of her stuff was already in the dorm, Room 107, from what her letter said. Luckily, they were all one person dorms, so she wouldn't have to suffer with a roommate, but secretly, Rebecca wouldn't have minded. She was ecstatic, and couldn't believe she was actually here. Rebecca ran a hand through her frazzled hair and walked up to the doors to the building, her carry-on bag that had survived the harsh flight hitting her in the leg every time she moved. It had her laptop, and other necessities that she couldn't go on a flight without.
As the brunette girl walked straight into the dorm building, she headed up one flight of stairs to the second floor, where the 'One Hundred' rooms started. Blowing a piece of hair out of her face, she entered her room and gasped. Rebecca threw her suitcase down on the floor and looked around the room. The bed was a 'bunk bed' with a desk underneath the top bunk instead of another bed, and all her stuff was already set up. Of course, she'd have to do some fixing up, to make the plain white walls pop with some posters, but the room was pretty nifty for a dorm. Making sure her cell phone was in her pocket in case her parent's or her sister called, Rebecca locked her room back up and went downstairs to the main hall to try and find where she was supposed to receive her schedule. She had assumed it would be the Office, but no one was there, and she was too jet-lagged to see into the future for the location. So Rebecca settled for the mundane way of things.

Full Name - Gray, Melissa Leigh

Age - Fifteen, June 13th

Grade - Tenth

Description - Melissa's skin is pale, and she has the misfortune of not being able to tan very well, while her untamed, curly auburn hair rests just above her shoulders. She's unnaturally thin and boney, and is a little taller than average fifteen year olds. Melissa has a scar from around where her earlobe stops to her chin. Her natural eye color is a stoney gray color, with her contacts, however, they're an unnatural violet shade. Melissa doesn't put much thought into what she puts on, so you'll regularly see her in jeans, tennis shoes, and a t-shirt with the logo of her favorite band on it, she also keeps the small, little gold necklace with a little butterfly charm on the end on at all times. Only on rare occasions will she wear anything other than her normal outfit, though she sometimes will wear multiples bracelets, and an eyepatch over her right eye to keep people from trying to approach her.

Personality - Melissa doesn't trust anyone, nor does she let anyone get close to her. All the people that Melissa let get close to her ended up leaving her hurt and untrusting, her mind-set now is "showing fear is a weakness". Though Melissa gives off a very tough, punk, kind of vibe, she's really just a sensitive, touchy kind of girl when it comes to subjects such as family, since Melissa never really had much of one. Melissa's very introverted, and doesn't talk or participate unless it's absolutely nessicary, she was also diagnosed with mild skitzofrenia and sometimes hallucinates, or hears voices in her head. Melissa's been known to talk to herself, and the voices in her head outloud, which often causes most people to dub her crazy, and leave her alone. Melissa honestly would love to have a friend, but she's overly shy and far to untrusting to try.

History - Melissa was born in London, England, to Harriet Freedman and John Gray. Melissa was around a year and a half old when she got in the car accident that changed her life, her mother, father, and the couple in the other car all died, making Melissa the only one to survive. Melissa didn't have any other family, both her sets of grandparents had died before she was born, and the aunt on her mother's side was unwilling to take Melissa, for she disapproved of her sister's decision of having Melissa before marrying her father, thus leaving Melissa no choice but to be put in foster care. Melissa stayed in one foster home up until she was five, until she started having hallucinations and nightmares, she was too much work, the family claimed, and from then on she bounced around from home to home. When Melissa was eleven, she was verbally and physically abused by the home was in at the time, which is how Melissa got her scar. Melissa continued bouncing around from home to home, until she got a letter in the mail saying she'd been accepted to a school for kids with powers, just like her, Melissa is eager and curious to get to the school, though doubting that she'll make any friends.

Powers - Melissa has the abilty to manipulate plants, she's able to make them grow larger, smaller, and pretty much anything else you could do with them that you can think of, the only downside to her power is that the longer she uses it, the more physically and mentally drained and tired she becomes. Melissa also has super-sensitive hearing, she's able to hear conversations at up to around ten feet away easily, but her power amplifies the sound, so if somethings mildly loud to a regular person, it's super loud to Melissa, which can be a pain.

Full Name - Sturm, Jace Joseph
Age - Sixteen
Grade - Tenth
Description - Jace has wild, unruly blond hair that goes below his ears. He never bothers to really comb it out anyway. His eyes are always blocked by it, so sometimes people can't see their bright green color. He's at an average height, not to tall, not to short, but he never bothers to check his exact height. His skin is a fair peach color, and he has faint freckles dotting around his nose. Jace always shows his emotion easily, sometimes even when he doesn't want too. His usually outfit is a tee shirt and a sweater, plus ripped denim jeans and white and red tennis shoes, even in the summer. He has a visible scar down his arm, from who knows what. On some occasions he'll actually wear something fit for the weather, but that's not common.
Personality - With his daredevil and humorous personality, Jace is pretty much a jock. He loves to impress people and make others laugh. He's good at soccer and football also. Though Jace can seem like a good guy, he can also be quiet and shut his feelings off to others, making him lose his temper, due to something that happened in his past. He never acts serious about anything, unless it's something personal or a secret. He has just above average grades and doesn't work to improve that. He never was interested in girls, just as good friends. He trusts others quickly also, even if they don't trust him. Like I said before, Jace is a daredevil, and will try anything dangerous.
History - Jace Sturm grew up in Vancouver, Canada with his father. His mother disappeared when he was almost three, leaving him with a nanny when his father went off to work for the day. Jace always got in trouble and was disobient every day, making the Nanny impatient and rude to him. This is what caused his impatience. Jace was punished constantly for years until his dad found out and they instantly moved to The United States of America when he was only seven. He didn't trust anyone for awhile until he met his only Family in America, Jessy Sturm, his Father's sister, who took care of him until he was old enough to stay home alone. His father died of old age, and Jessy become his adoptive mother when he was thirteen. He was excited about his powers, but not about the idea of moving again and going to a new school.
Powers - Jace can make things explode with one simple touch, if he wants too. Though that power doesn't work on any living creature, and is limited to how often he can do it. Jace can also become invisible for an hour at most, no longer otherwise it could kill him.
Other - Nope!

I looked up at the three silver numbers that hung on the door in front of me: 135. I slipped the key that the letter had included into the lock before twisting it while pushing open the imitation wood door. I heard a loud click as the keys inside the lock opened and allowed me to open the entrance into my dorm. The smell of cleaning solution and freshly vacuumed carpet 'greeted' me as I walked in. A twin sized bed sat in the corner of the room next to a large window that looked over the mountain scape. On the side to the right of me was a wooden desk. There was also a large bookshelf that stood on the other side of the window that was next to the door. I dragged the two suitcases along with the backpack slung over my shoulder into the room. One of the suitcases was filled up with clothes, and the other was full of books, movies, and other items. My backpack contained my laptop, a couple extra books, and other necessity items for a twelve hour airplane ride. My dorm room itself would need some more to it, seeing as the walls were white and all it contained was a couple furniture items and a bed. The letter had said to go down to the office to check yourself in and get the schedule. I set my luggage down at the foot of the bed before heading out the door towards the staircase that lead down to the main hall and the office.

Wandering outside of the Dorm building, Rebecca brushed her hair back into a pony-tail with one hand while studying my letter with her other. Reading it slowly, she took in the information. Through the five day work-week, you had classes from Eight to Three, and then on Saturdays and Sundays you had free time to do assignments over the weekend and go into some town at the base of the mountain. She blinked her eyes at the information and then finally looked up to see which part of the campus she had wondered too. Gasping, Rebecca looked around in awe and sat down on a bench. The letter hadn't mentioned a place like this, It was beautiful.
Since the School was in the Mountain range, there was a section of it built up on a ledge, that could look over the entire forest area under the campus. This area was marked off by a guard rail made of marbled stone as white as the snow outside of the immediant Campus. The Brown-haired girl assumed that the snow only got into the grounds when it was during Christmas and the winter months, but now, the grass was green and crisp, a direct contrast to the brown sprigs that lay outside the magical boarders for the school. It kind of made her head spin thinking about everything, it was so, weird. Knowing that there was more out there. Shaking her head, Rebecca stood up from the bench and turned around to walk to the main building, with the Office and Infirmary. From the front, it looked like the school only had three buildings, the classrooms, the dorms, and the office, but from this angle, she could see a smaller building off to the side, and breifly wondered what it was before setting off towards the Office. She would have time later to explore everything.

Alice Lee Sean stood in front of her dorm, staring at the three numbers in front of her. This was where she would be staying for a long time, she might as well remember how to get to her room and what it looked like. She got lost easily, and being in a big school. The silver numbers were engraved in her brain. Dorm number 110. Alice thought, pushing the door open slowly. He room was almost set up like her old one, a full sized bed with a rainbow checkered quilt was sitting in the corner, and a desk was on the opposite wall. A small bookcase was sitting near her desk. Alice knew she'd need a bigger bookcase, but that would work for know. A large window was on the wall. The sunset would be beautiful with the Swiss Alps in view. She sighed, setting her small suitcase on her bad and unzipping it slowly, taking in every moment. The small girl brushed back her blond hair from her face and picked up some of her favorite books, wishing she could just sit and read, but the letter said she needed to go get the schedules. Alice grinned slightly, standing up and heading back toward the door again. Being here was much better than Paris or New York City was. She had her own room this year.

I came down the stairs just in time to see and older, graying lady unlock the office door and walk in. She flicked on the light and shut the wood and glass door behind her. I followed a few moments later and opened up the door. The office itself was small and sort of cramped. A large desk with papers strewn all over it sat against one side of the wall with the middle-aged lady sitting in a chair that obviously didn't belong with 'POTTERY BARN'S DESK SALE'. A large ancient computer sat across the room from me. Two squishy chairs sat in front of Ms. Office Lady's desk.
She looked up from the stack of papers that she was viewing intently. She probably could tell from my confused expression, but she pointed towards the computer and said 'Check in, please.' She had a raspy voice that probably could have been mistaken for Cyndi Lauper's. I crossed the room towards the crusty computer that looked as if it was being used for all its worth. A bar was stretched across the soft blue background of the screen with the blinking 'I' typing cursor. I clacked 'Jay Nathaniel Night' on the keyboard. I heard a loud ding which sounded from the computer and then the registration information that I had given the school popped up. My medical information, birth certificate, and description were all there. I heard a soft buzz of a printer, and a paper fell into my lap. On it was all of my classes and the times that I was to attend them.

Rebecca sauntered into the main office building, thinking that no one was going to be here, but she was shocked when she walked right into the main office and saw a boy, her age, maybe a bit older, sitting at an ancient computer. Freezing, she noticed an older woman sitting at the desk right as the older woman noticed her. She pointed her wrinkled and weathered hand at Rebecca and then the computer before rasping, "Sign in please." Rebecca felt like the woman was about to turn into a Furie from the Greek legends as she stepped forward, debating on whether or not looking over the boy's shoulder. It couldn't hurt could it? I mean, the most she could learn was the guy's name, and maybe have a sneak peak of his schedule.
Leaning over, She looked at the computer screen and caught the guy's first name before backing off of him, so he wouldn't get freaked out that a random girl had just been staring at the computer. Though, the damage had already been done, because she lost her balance and slammed her hand onto the side of the computer to balence herself, causing the ancient machine to unhook it's cord from the wall and send itself crashing into the ground and shattering into a million pieces. "Oops." Rebecca whispered, looking with wide eyes at the computer.

Alice was just walking into the office when there was a loud crash and she noticed a girl looking shocked, hovering over a broken computer. Alice put her hand over her mouth, stunned. An older boy was sitting at the only working computer now. Alice walked over, staring at the mess. She played with her hair shy, not sure what to do.
"Are you okay?" She asked the brown haired girl quietly, staring down at the computer. This girl semed new also.

My schedule had just managed to print out before the girl of my age practically laid on top of the computer, causing it to fall to the floor and shatter like a vase. "Smooth." I said, grinning as I looked up at the girl. She seemed to be embarrassed beyond emotional expansion. I looked over at the secretary, she seemed to be fuming. "I'm Jay Night. But, I'm guessing you already knew that." I said, pointing towards the crashed computer. The secretary had now started sweeping to pieces of smashed glass into a dustbin. She pushed both me and the girl out of the way as she retrieved a small laptop from the desk and set it up so that they other kids could register.

Alice rolled her eyes at the old woman who shoved her out of the way. She looked at this Jay boy curiously and didn't say anything, just stepped back and let the other girl get her schedule first. Alice rubbed her neck nervously, feeling out of place. She hated being around taller people, and the brown haired girl looked about her grade but not as short. She didn't bother to say her name either, Jay looked a sif he was asking the other girl, and she wasn't going to interupt, something her mother always scolded her about. Alice shuddered at that thought.

Rebecca was horrified, her hand hovering over her mouth in shock. Suddenly, a small, almost pixie-like girl with blonde hair asked her if she was alright and made her jump into the air. Taking her hand off her mouth, Rebecca nodded at the girl and then looked at the guy, who had said his name was Jay, Jay Night. Blinking, as she was shoved out of the room with the boy and watching as the woman cleared the smashed computer and brought out a laptop, before letting them back into the room and hissing something obsene under her breath. Shocked, Rebecca sat down in the seat in front of the laptop and calmed down enough to say to Jay and the unknown girl, "I'm Rebecca", right as she typed her full name into the computer and her files popped up, while her schedule was printed out right beside the computer. Picking it up gingerly, she looked at the two, "Please tell me you both are Freshmen?" Rebecca didn't know if she could stand knowing that the both of them were upper-classmen and had seen her do something so... Emberassing.

Melissa pulled a wrinkled piece of paper out of her pocket, and unfolded it, smoothing it out quickly before looking at the number that was printed in small, black ink. 112, it read. Melissa looked up at the door, made a noise under her breath that displayed her obvious annoyance, and continued down the row of doors until she finally hit the door marked with the correct number. Melissa tried the door, and sighed with relief, and opened the door. Melissa pulled her suitcase in behind her, and surveyed the room. It wasn't bad, and what was better was the fact that she didn't have to share it with anyone, like a roommate. Melissa set her suitcase on the bed, and unzipped it, rummaging around in it until she finally felt what she wanted. Melissa pulled out her eye-patch, and slipped it on, fussing with it in her pocket mirror before she decided it looked alright. Melissa shoved the little pocket mirror back into her suitcase, deciding to unpack later, and stepped out of her dorm and shutting the door carefully. Melissa looked back and forth down the hallway curiously, before picking one way and walking down it. Melissa found herself in the main office building, where there were three other kids, two girls and a boy, the boy and one of the girls, an extremely tiny girl with short blonde hair, were both talking to the other girl. Melissa noticed right away that they all appeared to be younger than her, only by a year or so. Melissa lingered in the doorway, unsure if she was interrupting something important.

I gazed in wonder at the spectacle of a school before me. Not that I had actually seen a very good one. After all, New York City doesn't have a garden downtown at their colleges. Brining only the clothes on my back and a backpack with stolen goods, I pulled out my letter, memorizing the fateful words and the dorm room. 132, it said, and a took the key that came with it, just to be sure, I wanted to check in as soon as possible, for fear of being late. It was quite strange to see only 4 other people there. I mean, considering that it was a school, you would think some more people would arrive. He studied each of the company. First there was the one boy, pale, looked a bit like myself, if I do say so. Then there was the older girl, who had an eyepatch on for some reason. It didn't make her seem tougher, that's for sure. Then there was the munchkin, who knows what she's capable of. And then there was the other girl, mysterious to say the least, and very scary.

Melissa glanced behind her, and spotted another boy. He was pale, and had long hair, nearly longer than her's. Melissa watched him for a long moment, and nodded at him in acknowledgment. Melissa leaned on the frame of the door just before the main office building, where the three other kids were. Melissa eyed the boy for a long moment, almost considering talking to him. Melissa scoffed to himself, and turned back around, her thin arms crossed as she tapped her bony fingers on her right arm. Melissa huffed, trying to blow her hair out of her face. Melissa clenched her fists in annoyance as it fell right back in front of her eyes. Melissa pushed her auburn bangs out of her eyes, tucking them behind her ears so they didn't block her vision. Melissa fiddled with the eye-patch, her back turned to the new boy. If he talked, she'd answer. (Probably, as in probably not.)

I peered around the Peanut Gallery before eyeing the girl who seemed to be older than the others. Maybe, if we were in the same grade, she could tell me more about the place. "So... Who are yah?" I said casually. That probably wasn't the best move. She probably didn't know where I came from, and I probably just ruined my chances with her. I repeat, it was not a good move. Maybe she wouldn't notice it, though. Maybe she got distracted and I could make it up. But, knowing my luck, I was probably just creating false hope. Not that I wasn't used to it, but it gets depressing how depressing you get.
