I noticed that something had alarmed 'Toni and had forced her into changing into her bird from. I was nervous, but didn't change into an animal. I hesitantly followed her into the forest.

'Toni looked down to see Ara looking back up, and hopped down onto the ground. She began to trace her wing in the dirt.
W-O-L-F S-H-I-F-T-E-R She spelled in the clay,
accompanied by an alarmingly squiggly exclamation mark.
The barn owl flapped her wing to remove the mud,
and flew back to a lower branch.

My eyes widened as I read what 'Toni had written. "So there are others," I remarked. I wasn't sure whether this was a good thing or a bad thing.

'Toni dipped her head several times,
and then flew off in the direction of the howl.

((Dire wolves aren't common to any parts lol. They're extinct. XD Here, this is the drawing of a comparison I saw. A little less cartoony, but basically they're extinct and sturdier built.))

Trent heard the voices in his head again, calling for him to show himself. He smelled a human, as well. No, no, no! He snarled, baring his teeth with threats glinting in his eyes as he ripped through the bushes towards the ones who had called to him. The human part of him was becoming engulfed with his wolf instincts told him was right, and in the night, with a barn owl and a human approaching him- both of which saw him and knew he shouldn't exist... he couldn't trust them. The wolf instincts inside of him were telling him to kill them. No! His human mind was screaming out. No!

((Socky, do you want to be my roomate at the orphanage? You are a timber wolf, right? Maybe you could already be with the other shifters and not know that I am a shifter too. So we wouldn't know each other are shifters. Until now. XD))

Antoinette chirped loudly at Arabelle.
Her wings beat furiously trying to stay in midair.

I saw the wolf and instantly backed up. I was no animal specialist, but my dad was, and this was a dire wolf. They were known to be extinct. I fought the urge to scream- that would surely be my end.

((UM. yeah, sure? XD ))

'Toni's chirps silenced for a moment to try to converse with it.
Who are you? Where did you come from?
She demanded, her emerald owl eyes staying on the wolf every second.

[Socky just pretend to hear the commotion or something.]

Trent remained tense, his tail sticking out erect for only a moment more before sighing and looking at his paws. His head snapped up and his eyes narrowed. I'm tired of this, he thought. Can... can I trust you? The secret was exhausting Trent, and he felt kind of glad to let it out finally.

Who would I have to tell it to? The pigeons?
'Toni chirped sarcastically.
She landed quickly on a branch to catch her breath.

I glanced over at 'Toni, wondering if she was trying to communicate with this strange, new wolf. I sighed, and swiftly changed into my fox-form. My head hurt- too much shape-shifting for one night.

((Okay.))

Danny was roused by the sound of howling and hooting and crashing. His eyes flicked open, and he stared at the empty bed beside his. Shocker that Trent kid was gone. He rolled on his side, trying to sleep, but it was no use. "I might as well find out what that racket is..and shut it up," he muttered begrudgingly, shuffling over to the open window and slipping out cautiously. Fur bristled over his back as he fell on all four, a snout pushing its way from his face, and ears swiveling to the top of his head.

Trent's neck fur stood on end at the message in his head. You... are you a shifter, too? He asked. Suddenly he felt a lot safer, seeing the other person turn into a fox. The world seemed a whole lot less lonley knowing that he wasn't alone.

Now that I was in my animal-form it was much easier to have a conversation. Yes... I haven't been one for very long though, I admitted. I thought about the strangers who had nearly captured us the other day. This new shape-shifter was probably in danger too.

Would I be talking to you telepathically if I was really a normal barn owl?
Just please try to hurry- I'm not in the perfect mood today and in a few moments a timber wolf is going to attack me.
Antoinette pleaded, looking around cautiously.

(Just swat her down or something, Danny. PLEASE don't kill her. XD)

Danny then caught sight of a barn owl. With an annoyed growl, he swatted her down. Keep the racket down! he snorted.

((I'm so confused. So I was there and then I'm here and then I'm coming and now what? XD))

Hey! I said defensively, growling. You can't just swat her down like that! If I wasn't a fox, much smaller than the timber wolf, I might have attacked.

I growled. Because you're gonna stop me, short stuff. He glanced at the barn owl. You all right, kid?

I narrowed my eyes. This timber wolf was really beginning to get on my nerves.
