Chapter Twelve: Part Two

“When I figured out we were meant for each other, I acted on impulse.” Jacob started, I wouldn’t reply so he continued, “The gist of it is that when you find your alleged Soulmate but one isn’t an Immortal, it just happens. No matter how old, you are basically turned against your will; there is nothing greater than the fact that I want you to be happy.”
I sniffed quietly and buried my face deeper into his shoulder; he put his hand on the back of my head and slowly lifted it up, “Please, don’t be mad.” I gritted my teeth and tried to fight against his strength. He frowned and held my face in between his hands. Jacob stared into my green eyes and I had to look into his blue ones. My vision flickered and then I saw through Jacob’s eyes, it was like my powers were activating through his touch. I saw my face; my eyes, puffy and red circling the green, I looked like the Christmas from Hades. His emotions were only concern and love; I blinked and then saw through my own eyes again. He smiled lightly and let my face go so he could run his lips lightly over my cheek. I blushed softly and he smiled brighter. “Could you please stop making me blush? I might turn this red permanently.”
He chuckled, “But it’s so much fun Rebecca.”
I rolled my eyes, “That’s not to end of the story is it?”
Jacob shook his head and continued, “I didn’t know if you were meant for this life or not when I found you. I didn’t think before basically staking claims on you and your immortality.”
I blinked softly and another tear fell from my lashes. Jacob caught it with his finger and frowned, “You’re not happy, I can feel it.”
I nodded, “Not entirely, but a part of me is flattered at the thought that someone would ‘stake claims on my immortality and I’, It’s not very appealing in a sense, but it’s what you are. I like that part. I like you; I wouldn’t trade this for the world.”
Jacob nodded and a smiled played on the edge of his lips. “Neither would I.”
I bit my lip, “Why wouldn’t you let me tell Branch and the rest of them about the Immortal stuff if they were Immortals?”
“It is a website Becca. Other people can access it.” Jacob pointed out and pulled me into a tight hug.
He was practically suffocating me, good thing I didn’t have to breathe for ten minutes. He released me a couple minutes later and smiled.
I rolled my eyes but had to smile back. Sighing, I logged off RPC and closed my computer, there wasn’t much to do and I was bored.
Jacob shut his own computer and then made them both disappear. He looked at me from the side and grinned.
My eyebrow’s raised, “Jacob… Wha-”
He had me up and in his arms in a split second, he had closed off his mind too, “Darn you. I didn’t know that was possible!” Jacob grinned and ran deeper into the woods, this should be exciting.
I squirmed in his grasp, he had me in his arms like a child and I frowned, “Let me down… Please?”
Jacob chuckled, “Nope, if I let you down you might run we’re going to see someone; I think you’ll like her.”
I frowned and said, “Fine, you had better watch out when you let me go; I’ll be angry.”
Jacob chuckled again, “And that’s why I love you.”
I froze.
Jacob looked down at my nonmoving body and raised his eyebrows, “Are you okay?”
My mouth was hanging wide open and I blinked a few times. “Fine,” I murmured clearing my throat.
Jacob blinked softly, “Did that bother you?”
I nodded slowly but then mumbled into his stomach, “But only because I love you too.”
Jacob smiled softly and then said, “We’re close. You better get down; I don’t think Winter will take kindly to us showing up like we just got married.”
My eyes got big and I blushed as I scrambled out of his arms.
He grinned and took my hand. I intertwined my fingers through his and then smiled as he played with the tip of my pinkie finger. We walked hand in hand toward the center of Michigan. It was warm, though I had heard the weather was odd here. I blinked, “We just ran to Michigan, Oh my word; we just RAN to Michigan!”
Jacob laughed, “Technically I ran to Michigan, but you can say you did too.”
I frowned at him and then gasped as we walked up to a giant hotel; Winter was officially the coolest person ever. Jacob and I walked inside and I blushed as a few people looked at us curiously.
A girl behind the counter smiled at Jacob and then looked at me with wide eyes, “Oh, My word! Rebecca! Hi!”

WHOOP! BAM! WINTER IS IN THE HOTEL! HEHEHE
