Valia~Book 1: A Princess's tale

Eamon looked through parts of the bush and saw a girl that looked like Runa, but couldn't have been because her hair was in a bun. He waited silently for her to speak, because he could make sure if she was her or not.

Runa looked around at where she was. She sighed and decided it was safe so she let down her hair and scampered up a tree. She sat on a high branch and looked around. Runa didn't notice Eamon in the bush.

Eamon's eyes widened. It is Runa! That makes matters worst now! He thought to himself. If Runa finds me, I'll have to tell about the nature walks and everything. UGH!

Runa smiled to herself and dangled her legs off the branch. She moved them back and forth watching to see if anyone would come along. She looked at all the trees and bushes, they were so peaceful. She smiled nad looked at one bush in particular. It had moved a couple minutes ago. She had thought it was just a rabbit but now she saw eyes. She leaped from the branch and took out her sword. "Who goes there?" She called her sword touching the bush.

Eamon sighed as he raised from the bushes. "You got me," He said, hoping she wouldn't ask "the question."

Runa saw Eamon emerge and she lowered her sword. "Were you spying on me?" She asked in a growling tone. She stepped colser to him and put her sword up to his neck, "Answer now."

"Of course not," Eamon glupped. Decision time! He thought to himself.

She took her sword down and put it back on her belt. She tied her hair into the same tight bun with a green ribbon. She looked at Eamon, "I don't care what you were doing as long as it didn't involve me." She then gave her devilish grin and took his hand. She pulled him toward the tree she hade just jumped out of. She scambled up it again and called down to Eamon, "Come up!"

Eamon scrambled up the tree Runa was in. He was amazed on how fast she changed her emotions.

Runa smiled and swung her legs back and forth over the branch.

"So, why are you here?" Eamon asked, trying not to be noisy.

Runa looked at him, "You first."

Eamon looked down at his dangling feet. "Well, I didn't want anyone to find out, but when no one's around, I take nature walks here." He looked up to Runa. "Does that... bother you?"

Runa looked at him funny, "Why would it bother me?" I like to come out here and fight with trees. Runa grinned and jumped off the branch, she proceded to show Eamon what she ment. Runa got out here sword and started to slash at a random tree repeditly.

Eamon smiled. "Do you mind if I join you?" He asked. It might be fun since Runa was around.

Runa laughed, "It's just some silly thing I do so I can be a better fighter." She stopped and screamed. Her sword was a bright ember. It was burning hot. She stared at it terrified, "Eamon, that means danger is near."

"What kind of danger?" Eamon asked as he jumped down from the branch. He stared at the orange sword.

"I don't know," Runa said grimacing as she picked up her burning sword. She held it out just in time because only a second later a bandit came out of the forest and attacked her. She slashed her sword and made quick work of him. Then, others came out and stared at her. She smiled and asked, "Anyone else?" All the others ran away except for one that was three-times Runa's size. She slashed and cut at him, she knew the bigger they were the harder they fell. She ended up with a long gash down her side at the end. The two bodies laid side-by-side as Runa clutched her bloody side. She was losing blood fast and getting pale.

"Runa!" Eamon exclaimed until he felt dizzy. A Bandit must've cut him somewhere. He ripped off a part of his shirt and used it as a bandage for Runa's wound. He hoped this would keep blood inside as he gasped for air and fainted in front of Runa. He held fists in his hands as he fell.

Runa gasped, "Eamon!" She grabbed him before he landed on the ground. "Help!" She screamed, "Someone help!"

Antionette and Faolan happened to be walking close to the forest when they heard Runa's screams. They both ran and found her and Eamon. Faolan carried Eamon and Antionette helped Runa walk back to the castle.

Eamon woke up the next morning. The first thing that came to his mind was if Runa was ok. He was worried that the shirt bandadge helped his gash. "Stupid bandits," He muttered. He tried to stand up, but he felt the gash he found on his back open up, so he decided to just stay down.

Runa woke up the next morning and immedatly tried to get up. She screamed as she felt the flesh rip on her side again. "Stupid Bandit!" She muttered as she held her side.

"Runa!" Eamon yelled. He immediatly limped to her room, moaning in pain silently. "Are you alright. I have an extra shirt," He said.

Runa covered her self up. All she had on was her pants. The gash on her side was bleeding again. She silently cursed herself for being such and idiot. "Go back in your room," She hissed, "Your not well enought to be out of bed."
