Jasper sighed and turned back to Lily Anne. "Look, I can unders-stand if you never want t-to s-see me again." He sstuttered.

Lilly Anne rubbed her eyes. "I dunno..." she murmered and stood. She ran after Jeremy. "Jeremy WAIT!" she reached him, "What were you... going to say...?"

She put her hand on his shoulder. "Tell me..." she murmered. "It was important enough before..."

Jeremy pulled her hand off his shoulder and held it for a few seconds. He looked into those beutiful gleaming eyes. He wished she liked him instead of Jasper. "W-I-I..." Jeremy stuttered looking at her lovingly.

Lilly Anne looked down, "I thought so..." she nodded and looked up again. "Come with me..." she headed to her farm, and then to her huge old birch in it...

"Look!" she pointed to a carving in the tree that said 'Jeremy+Lilly=BFFLs' and then alittle doodle. She giggled, "remember when we did that? It was 3 years ago... Remember our real feelings...?" she asked quietly.

Lilly shook her head and sighed. "I felt that for you than... Not now... I'm sorry Jeremy, I don't feel like than anymore..."

"Oh. Okay." Jeremy stepped back, his voice cracked. "I understand... I'll see you around...." Jeremy walked down the hill determined to get to his store quickly.

Lilly Anne sighed. She hated hurting people's feelings!

Jasper was slowly walking to his store. Suddenly, a figure of a girl crouching down appeared. He walked a little closer, and that figure became Dani. He rushed up to her side and pulled his jacket over her. It was cold out. "Are you okay?" He asked.

Dani looked up and smiled. "Oh, ya," she finished twisting in a nut on her skateboard,"I'm fine, I just had to fix this." she giggled. It was getting really dark. Dani looked around and shivered. "Ibetter go in," she smiled. I'll see you later?"

Lilly Anne sighed and rode her horse to her shop, just a tee and jeans on. It was right beside Jasper's and she was feeling like a fool to have kissed him when he obviously loved Dani! She tied Roxy(her horse) up and slowly walked into her store, than turned the closed sign to open. She sat down at the cunter and started to sob.
