JuniperLeaf smiled and looked at NightPaw. "Well, this is BirchKit." he licked BirchKit's head. "We adopted him. This is SkyKit, RainKit, MoonKit, and this, BlueKit!" He licked and/or nuzzled the kits all in turn.

MistStar smiled at all the kits. "They're beautiful, BlankFeather..." she smiled slightly, wishing she had some of my own, but Mist was a lone kitty...

(She seriously is in real life. Mitsy is a loner!)

"Thank you." Blankfeather said, turning to Juniperleaf. "You may leave if you want. The kits and I will be fine." Blankfeather informed, laying down.

JuniperLeaf nodded but said, "only if I am needed..." he turned to MistStar. "Do you need me?" he asked quietly.

MistStar nodded and glanced outside, than back to JuniperLeaf. "We need a plan for the... well... you know whats... And we need all the help we can get..." She sighed as she murmered it.

Sandfur smiled at the kits. "Oh...they're so cute!" she gushed, sniffing the nearest one. "And they look healthy, too!"

Ashpaw tensed, suddenly, staring at the forest looming by the camp. "I just feel like those dogs are watching us," he whispered to Owlfeather. "Like they're waiting to attack."

"Now that you've said that, I'm worried big time. Sandfur. Blankfeather. They're both still in danger, and they're kits, unless we drive the dogs away." the cream-furred tom shivered.

Ashpaw's fur bristled. "Let's do it right away!" he meowed. "I'm going to find those dogs and teach 'em a lesson!"

Owlfeather stared hard at Ashpaw. "No, you won't. Find Riverstream and train. You're not going into the forest alone, without a warrior!"

The dark grey and white tom gritted his teeth. "Why don't you understand I'm strong enough, I'm fast enough, and I'm good enough to be a warrior? You and the others never understand! I'm not too young to be a warrior!"

((Alright, I've got a story laid out: Ashpaw sneaks off, comes face-to-face with the "dogs"/wolves, then runs back to camp and gets really humbled. :)))

Blankfeather smiled at Sandfur.

Moonkit crawled up to her mother, and began to eat.

Bluekit followed his sister to his mother, and ate.

JunperLeaf licked his kits and his mate and padded out of the nursery with his leader.

MistStar walked over to OwlFeather and AshPaw,annoyed. She looked down toAskPaw, "Don't be yelling at warriors! Especially when there are young kits around!" She growled.

Blankfeather padded closer to the entrance, trying to listen in on what the lead female had to say.

Moonkit whimpered blindly for her mother.

Bluekit whined.

Blankfeather picked her kits up and put them closer to her. "Sshh, eat my kits." she gently mewed, licking them.

Ashpaw glared at Miststar. "No one gets it!" he hissed. "I'm better than what you think! I can handle being a warrior, even deputy, like Riverstream. I'm stronger than those dogs combined." He stalked over to the apprentices' den.

Owlfeather shook his head. "He's my friend, Miststar. Trust me, he's not that bad. You were there when he was born. His mother died, and his father was nowhere to be found. He's an orphan, like me. It's hard with no parents. Skykit, Birchkit, Moonkit, and Bluekit are lucky to have Juniperleaf and Blankfeather."

"BirchKit is an orphane!" My eyes became misty and tears came to my eyes. "I whiped around, angry and silently crying, and rushed tomy den, yowling back, "Fine, AshPaw! If you want to be stuborn and die, go ahead!" Isobbed as I entered my den and flopped ontomy moss bed.

JuniperLeaf had watched everything. He rushed over to OwlFeather. "What did you do to her?!" I growled angrily.

Owlfeather whipped around. "You won't accuse me of anything!" he snarled. "Birchkit is too young to realize he's an orphan. He'll think Blankfeather is his mom. All I said was your kits were lucky to have you, okay?" By now he was nose-to-nose with the ginger tom, eyes alight with angry fire, that sent static rippling through his fur.

Ashpaw sighed, looking at his paws. "Everyone underestimates me," he mewed at last. "They just think I'm some dumb apprentice. I'm not. I'm strong, and I'm fast, and I have one of the best warriors in the world for a father, and one of the bravest queens in the world for a mother! I have the full potential of Owlfeather, or Sandfur, but no one respects me. So what if I'm an apprentice? I can still do a lot of damage. Miststar doesn't understand I'm more than meets the eye. Not just an apprentice." Ashpaw stared hard at the kind and beautiful queen, his eyes fiery. "Not even Owlfeather thinks I can take on one dog. I'm more than a match for ten of them! I know everyone thinks I'm over confident, but sometimes that can be the best thing in the world!"

((Yeah...wow. Every one of my charries in here has a story. Owlfeather is like Cinderpaw in the Power of Three, he has a second life but doesn't realize it. Ashpaw is the headstrong guy who tries to take on wolves, and Sandfur is the fiesty and kind mother who...dies. Oh, and NOTICE how in Ashpaw-mode he said, "I HAVE one of the best warriors..."))

JuniperLeaf growled. His body was shaking with anger and he looked down at the younger wolf. "Now you go in there and you figure out what you did wrong and you apologize! Or else you have me, a very experienced and strong warrior to deal with! GOT IT?!" he growled at OwlFeather. His eyes were blazing and he swiped his claws across the younger toms face before pushing him hard towards the leaders den.

Owlfeather arched his back. "Who died and made you leader?" he spat. "You're not in charge of me, got it, fox-breath?" he unsheathed his claws.

JuniperLeaf's eyes turned bright read. His claws dug into the ground and he put one paw on OwlFeather's back. He dug his claws into Owl's back and pushed him down. "Do what I say,MistStar deserves an apology from you! YOU MADE HER CRY!!" I hissed into his ear.

((Lawl "YOU MADE HER CRY!"))

"The only one who made her cry is herself!" Owlfeather yowled, raking his claws down Juniperleaf's sides and biting his lashing tail.

Ashpaw stared, shocked, at Blankfeather. "You killed your leader?" he meowed in disbelief. Suddenly, he noticed the horrifying display outside of the den. "Owlfeather!" he cried. "Stop!"

Sandfur heaved herself out of the nursery. "Toms!" she muttered. "Juniperleaf! Owlfeather! Stop it right now! I may not be the leader, but I will think I speak for everyone when I say you're acting like kits fighting over fresh-kill!"

Owlfeather's eyes were wild and blazing, his fur bristling, and his mouth snarling as he attacked the ginger tom, feeling as if Sandfur and her words were thousands of fox-lengths away.

((You gotta admit, Owlie's right. Miststar didn't have to burst into tears. He didn't make her. He was speaking softly, and then she just starts bawling. :)))

I growled low at BlankFeather. "Leave me alone! He obviously said something offensive to MistStar! There is no reason to make a leader cry. Now stay out of this!" I turned to OwlFeather and hissed in his ear, "You go find out what you did and apologize for making her cry, or I'll make you cry!" Ipushed his through the vines of the den and stalked away, out of the camp, and into the dangerous forest...
