Fallenbird: "Huh?" I looked at the sudden storm clouds. Rain fell on my pelt. "How did this happen?"

Ivystar looked just as surprised. "I.. I don't know," Ivystar bounded for the cover of the nearest den as lightning flashed, lighting up every cats face.

Gingerpaw nearly yelped, flattening her ears as her face was brightened by the white light of the lightning. "Let's go!"

As the three raced into camp, Ravenfeather saw Cloudfall, crouched, staring in horror at the sky. Rain spattered down, and Ravenfeather bounded over to his former apprentice. "Cloudfall, you look like a moonstruck rabbit!" he snapped, grabbing her sparrow and shoving her into the medicine den to avoid rain. He wanted to stay with Gingerpaw and Foxtail, but Cloudfall was apparently troubled.

The grey-and-white she-cat sighed softly, flicking raindrops off her whiskers. She gave a glance at Ravenfeather's dripping pelt and narrowed her eyes. "Dry your fur, or you'll catch a cold. StarClan forbid I have to deal with you in the medicine den...again." Ravenfeather's eyes flickered with amusement as he bent to groom his fur. Cloudfall flinched. "What's that...?" She stepped forward, cautiously sniffing Ravenfeather's shoulder. The black-furred tom flinched. "I--I caught it on some thorns." he replied hastily. Cloudfall quirked an eyebrow cynically.

Foxtail turned to Gingerpaw. "C'mon, let's get some cover. Starclan forbid I have to deal with your colds," He mused as he pushed his apprentice in the respectable den.

Gingerpaw smiled briefly, licking herself to warm up, and watching the lightning outside as it flashed and flared, as if having a fit of it's own. "It's StarClan, they're trying to tell us something, but.. but.. What?"

Cloudfall turned to paw through the herbs. "If it's a wound, Ravenfeather, it still holds the chance to be infected. Let me put some marigold on it." Ravenfeather pulled away. "No, it's fine!" he meowed quickly, desperate for her not to see that there were clawmarks on his shoulder, not scratches from thorns. Cloudfall narrowed her eyes. "I'm your medicine cat, Ravenfeather. So let--"
Ravenfeather froze. "...Have you...er, have you had any signs from StarClan recently?" he interjected.
Cloudfall's eyes widened, then she shook her head. "...No. Don't change the subject. Let me see your shoulder." I can't let him find out about the brown tabby fur in the sparrow's beak, much less worry him by talking about my dreams.

Foxtail was calmer as he saw Gingerpaw go into her den. Now all he had to do was rest, for Starclan surely would not waste any time. He found a comfortable spot in the den by the entrance and curled into a ball yet again and rested his eyes. This was pure bliss for Foxtail.

"Furball," Gingerpaw muttered under her breath fondly as she watched Foxtail curl up and close his eyes. Gingerpaw sat in the entrance of her den, sighing as she watched the rain slowly start to stop.

Cloudfall could hear Nightleaf in the clearing. She peered out of the den, blinking as a drop of rain dripped from an overhead leaf and landed on her nose. Ravenfeather's wound forgotten, she stepped out, surprised by the brief ferocity of the storm. "Nightleaf?" she mewed cautiously. A dark, musty smell hit the roof of her mouth as she scented the air. Curious as to how a cat could've gotten out of the camp so soon and left a strong scent after the rain; if it had been before, the storm would've washed it away. The grey-and-white patched she-cat leaned forward, listening with the instincts of a hunter for any signs that her mentor was there. I guess I owe a lot of my skill to Ravenfeather.

Ravenfeather slipped out of the medicine den to stand beside Cloudfall where she crouched, gazing suspiciously into the undergrowth. The black-furred tom touched the tip of his tail to her shoulder, and she glanced up at him. "I thought I smelled a cat..." she murmured sheepishly, getting to her paws. Light danced in Ravenfeather's grey-blue eyes at his friend's embarrassment. "It was nothing," he declared. "Or, even worse, it was Nightleaf skulking around in the forest, eating blackberries." Cloudfall giggled and leaned gently into Ravenfeather's side as he led her back to the center of the camp. "Now, I want to go talk to Foxtail and Gingerpaw." At Cloudfall's questioning look, he added, "It's about her hunting techniques...I saw her hunting...and I have a better...technique." He finished in a lame tone.

Cloudfall purred in amusement. No matter what the Clan thought, she knew Ravenfeather was really a sweet cat underneath all of his frost. If he would just let others see his soft side, maybe he would be happier. "Don't be long," she replied, smiling at him. "I don't trust the skies to stay clear when they can open up so easily."

((._____. It looks like I'm trying to interject romance into Ravenfeather and Cloudfall's relationship, but I swear it isn't like that. They're just close. I SWEAR! DX ))

Foxtail was almost submitting to the urge to sleep when he heard lightning and jolted awake. He raced to the back of the den and groomed some stray fur before watching Nightleaf go under the entrance, drenched. He leaped over to her to see what was the matter, for she looked as if she had seen a ghost.

((Yes, you're DEFINATELY not trying to get Ravenfeather and Cloudfall together! There is NO POSSIBLE WAY that would EVER happen!

BTW, i never really figured out the layout of the clan. Cause Reb said under the entrance, so I'm like, "Wha?"))

Gingerpaw looked up abruptly, alarmed by the sudden noise of Nightleaf. Gingerpaw normally would've scented the medicine cat, but the rain that was lightening even more was still drizzling steadily enough to make lots of noise. Gingerpaw jumped to her paws, bounding to greet Nightleaf.
"Hey!"

(I apologize guys. I had a post on here but then I must have pressed a button or somthing and my computer deleted it.
For the record though: Nightleaf was talking about going under the entrance to the medicine clearing. I didn't make it clear enough, sorry, and then she saw the burning bush (it was part of the wall around the clearing) and watched the fire being put out by the rain before running back to camp. That's okay though, I'll just try to make it more clear next time.)

I arrived soaking wet back at camp and shook my pelt out hastily. No way was I going to the medicine cat den. Knowing Cloudfall, she would be in there doing something. Cloudfall might have been borning and quiet most of the time, but she was perceptive as all get out. My tail twitched back and forth as I watched Gingerpaw race up to me and greet me, but I was too zoned out to reply. My father's words kept repeating themself in my head as I tried to calm my heart-beat by breathing slowly in and out. I noticed Foxtail coming straight toward us and started mentally freaking out. I kept remembering Gingerpaw mentioning the wind on the hunting trip and I was having major de ja vu moments when it came to everything. Feeling like I had just been told my death-date from Starclan, I turned towards Gingerpaw and said, "I need to speak with you," Motioning to the medicine cat den with my tail, I nodded towards it and tried not to look directly at Foxtail as I added, "alone."

Ravenfeather's face fell when he saw Gingerpaw being led back into the medicine den by a distraught Nightleaf. He'd wanted to talk to them about the prophecy again, since the storm had interrupted their first meeting. Ravenfeather took note of the slender medicine cat's cold attitude and realized it meant she wanted no one else to some. He padded over to Foxtail, who was standing there with a mixture of emotions (including confusion) in his eyes. This has to be about the wind. Gingerpaw is the only one who told anyone else. But I thought we left it as soon as we came back to camp...what could've swayed Nightleaf about this? Ravenfeather's curiosity blasted him with questions, but he didn't dare voice his frustrations to Foxtail.

Cloudfall had disappeared into the medicine den, doing her favorite job--packing medicine wraps. She found it to be the easiest but most necessary job; no hunting for herbs growing between thorns, no convincing sick cats--Ravenfeather in particular--to just sit still, and no anxious fathers and nosy mothers poking in on work. Best of all, no cryptic dreams from StarClan. She was happy to let her mind wander as she tucked berries, poppy seeds, and shredded bits of marigold into a dock leaf.

((Cloudfall is easily amused. XD I almost wrote, "poopy seeds". HA!))

Foxtail had indeed been washed over with many emotions, but they faded away when Ravenfeather had arrived. "So..." He started, not really sure what to say. After all, he didn't want to upset Ravenfeather. If he was depressed all the time as it is, who knew how crazy he'd get! Foxtail, trying to carrying on the time they were spending together, put up a weak smile. Cowardly, he knew, but what else could he do?

Gingerpaw looked at Nightleaf, confused and curious, as she followed her in the medicine cat den.

It almost didn't seem right, to tell her that they had felt the wind as well..
