Shape-shifters: A New Generation (A PRP for Trustworthy Members)

I couldn't take it anymore. All my friends were transforming into cool animals and kicking human butt, and I was stuck as a house cat? Seriously?! I was so filled wit rage, I hissed at the bad guy in front of me... Ok, bad guys. And, at that moment, I realized something: I wasn't a cat no more. I was a california kingsnake, cause I could see my black/white stripes running down my body.

(LOL, KEEL! KEEL!)

'Toni came trotting back down the hallway proudly,
having taken all of their bullets.
She had several belts swung around her chest.
"No more bullets." She said.
Being the only one in her human form now,
-minus her victim from earlier-
the teenage girl kept watch with one of the rifles.
Being blind she had to constantly half-switch between her bird
and human form to see if anyone else was coming down the hallway.

((Only scary guy left = tiger :D))
Trent still lay there limply on the ground, his leg twitching slightly and his eyes shut tightly, as if he were wincing. He groaned and his breaths grew shallow and quick. His eyes flickered open occassionally, but only an instant passed before they were screwed up against the light. Trent saw a cheetah, a tiger, a badger-type creature... Were they back-up? He was sure that he was done for, and he only hoped his friends had escaped. Was it only a few hours ago he had been running through the forest freely? How had he suddenly turned up here, dying slowly in this prison? The thoughts of what he beleived to be his enemies grew fainter in his head, until they were only hollow echos, and all he could hear was the beating of his heart. His thoughts grew stiller and calmer, and he felt at peace.

((DON'T DIE! I CAN'T LOSE ANOTHER ONE! RAH! SOAP OPERAS!))

I flickered my tongue at Trent, sensing that he was feeling weak. Don't worry buddy, I'm comin'! I hissed as I slithered under Trent, supporting him by pushing up. Let's go!

Trent's eyes flickered open. A snake was winding its was under Trent's back. Who... Trent was scared, but he knew there was no escaping his enemy's deadly bite now. He didn't fight back.

Trent, it's Jesssssssssssssse I replied, hoping to answer his question as I positioned him onto his feet.

No, I've been a snake all my life, of COURSE WE DIDN'T HAVE THESE FORMS BEFORE! I retorted and grunted as Trent stood.

I exchanged a glance with my teammates. Oh...yeah. I murmured sheepishly, doing a waddle-walk that reminded me of my golden eagle's gait to stand beside her.

Zoey returned to her human form. Blood was still clinging to her shirt from the bullet wound on her shouler as she walked over to the others at the door.
"Wow, you know what sounds awesome right now? Sleep." She murmured. Now that the action was mostly over she just wanted to get home and curl up in her bed. Then a thought occurred to her.
"How long do you guys think we've been gone? Our parents must be freaking out."

I changed human, moving out from beneath Trent. "Atleast most are... anyway, let's get the heck outta here!" I advised.

I grunted, thinking about how lazy he was, and walked over to open the door. At least, until, I found out the door was locked. "At least someone here was smart," I mummured and thought, maybe, I could kick it down.

((It is a wood door, right?))

[It's glass n steel... sors, I should've been more precise.]

"Locked, huh?" Arabelle huffed, crossing her arms in annoyance. She looked around the room for something useful, but could only see the carnage from the battle. Then she saw it.
It was one of those emercengy axes: used for fires. "What about that?" she asked, pointing to the weapon. Without waiting for an answer Arabelle made her way over to it.
C'mon, if you can kill someone you can pick up an axe, you marshmallow, she thought, looking at it. Finally she grabbed the object, planning to break through the door.

I watched her for a moment, then looked back in myself. Everyone was human but me. Except...I kind of liked being an animal better than a human. You were more free...you didn't have the same responsibility and worries. The animal half of your mind took care of that. Reluctantly, I shifted back into a human, grimacing at the recurring sting of where the bullet grazed my leg, and the myriad of cuts down my back. Miss Cougar was right. I really did look like monkey butt.

Arabelle reluctantly made her way over to the group. "Uhh... stand back," she said, raising the axe above her head. Without warning she brought it down, shattering the glass. Luckily none of it became embedded in her skin- she hadn't thought that part through.

((I used to be obsessed with those, before I started reading Warriors.))

Zoey flinched back from the shattering glass. "Nice one." She commented, stepping through the now-clear doorway.
