Without Fernclaw's speech, Clawflower was still helpless. He remained gaping.

"Well? Are you?" Branchstar asked again, confused as to why Fernclaw wasn't speaking, and both of them stood completely still, silent.
"I.. I don't.. know." Fernclaw managed to choke, not looking at either of them.

((Brb, dinner. ;D))

"I don't know either," Clawflower blurted. "I really should go back with mistress, but.... I don't know how to continue this sentence."

((Back. And for some reason, that made me laugh. "But.. I don't know how to continue this sentence." xDD Anyways..))

Branchstar looked from Fernclaw to Clawflower, and back again. "Fernclaw, c'mon. This is silly, you don't want to go back with her, do you?"
Fernclaw couldn't answer, didn't know how.

Clawflower's ears pointed backwards. "Branchstar, who was Mistress's family?" He might be getting an idea.

"Well," Branchstar said. "She has lots of family. She was related to Fernstar, who had Stormrage and Mellowclaw, they're in JointClan. And she had me as well, and I had Grayfur and Fernclaw.. She had lots more family, but I'm not sure about ansestors or anything." Branchstar explained.

"So, she has JointClan blood? In that case, I don't see why I belong to JointClan as much as MellowClan. After all, I am her grandson."

"Well.." Branchstar said, uncertain now. "She doesn't exactly have JointClan blood.. I mean.."
Fernclaw pricked her ears. "Yeah, he has a point, if she she has JointClan blood, anybody related to her belongs to JointClan as much as anybody else."

Clawflower nodded. "You got it, Fernclaw." He didn't really know what to say that. "So I should be allowed to go to JointClan with you if I choose to..."

"I.. I guess you have a point." Branchstar admitted quietly.

Clawflower flicked his ears... again. "So why don't I come with Fernclaw?" He smiled.

Fernclaw felt like if she smiled, it would be too big for her face. Fernclaw prayed to StarClan her mother agreed.
Branchstar flicked her tail. "I suppose you can. C'mon." She said.

Clawflower tilted his head happily, and this time it was his tail that flicked. He was ready to follow Branchstar whenever she started moving. "Thank you... are we distantly related?"

"Distantly. I think so." Branchstar replied, leading them to camp.
Fernclaw was flying high, she was in bliss.

Silver's ears pirched right when she was about tio kill a bird, she heard other cats. She left the bird alone and hid in the shadows. She smelt Fernclaw. And she had nearly died because of the young one. The green eyes narrowed as they got closer. And then she noticed a Mellowclan cat. REEKED OF MELLOWCLAN. Her nose wrinkled slightly, trying to focuse of their scents only. Branchstar and Fernclaw came into veiw. Time to show herself, they would have found her anyway. She slipped from the shadows, silver grey pelt shimmering. She looked at all three. Ummm.... Hi...? she growled, looking at the two unexpected visitors. She took note that Fernclaw seemed as if she where the happiest cat on the whole world, tail held high and all that. Silver blinked, surprised at this group approaching.

Branchstar nearly smiled at Silver. Well, Branchstar herself probably would've said something far stupider. "Silver." She nodded. "Fernclaw and.. Clawflower. They're from MellowClan obviously." She paused. "And Mellowstar is leaving. For good. And her Clan."

Clawflower smiled at the "distantly related" reply, and then turned his attention to a cat that had come into view. "Hello, Silver. As you know, I'm Clawflower," he said without smiling. "But I bet you're happy Mellowstar is gone? She was my grandmother...."

Branchstar was oddly quiet when he mentioned that they were distantly related. She didn't look at Fernclaw, couldn't meet her gaze it she tried, she knew.
Fernclaw smiled at Silver. "Hi Silver!" She said cheerfully.

Silver smiled brightly at Clawflower. An ear twitched with confusion at the dull tone before she shrugged and looked at Fernclaw. "Apparently someone remembers." she muttered under her breathe before grinning at Fernclaw. "You, Fernclaww! Last time I saw you.." She faded off, eyes flickering with unsertainly before it flashed away and she smirked. "So... hello Fernclaw... Clawflower..." She muttered, suddenly feeling weird as she froze. If they all, the group before her, and Mistress, where related, And they all had the powers to freeze things, why did she also have the same power-- When she wasn't related to them??? Or was she...?

[DUN-DUN-DUN! XDD Silver is getting suspicious xDD]

Clawflower tilted his ears at Fernclaw. "So you have the power to freeze things, and you're the descendant of Mellowstar, then what about me?"

"Hmm.. Well I don't know," Fernclaw said, pausing. "Maybe you do, you should try it out!" She suggested.
Branchstar looked at Silver, and then back at Fernclaw and Clawflower. "Fernclaw, I have to talk to Silver, but you remember the way back, right?" Fernclaw nodded. Branchstar nodded again, and lead Silver away, toward camp and out of sight, but then veered off into the forest. "Silver I have to tell you something but you have to swear on your life you will not tell Fernclaw."

Clawflower looked puzzled. "How?" he asked Fernclaw.

"Basically you do what I did. You just say the cat's name, and.. what you want them to do." Fernclaw tried to explain, smiling.
Branchstar looked at Silver, directly in her eyes. "You have to promise."

Clawflower smiled mischievously. "Fernclaw, turn around once." He motioned in a circle with his paw.
