[ The Shapeshifters. ] [A private Role-play for Rebecca and Jacob]

I smiled lightly. "Yeah. It wont be hard finding one near here. They seem to be everywhere. Then we can go do what you want." I said, and looked into her eyes for a couple moments, and then I forced myself to look away. I walked over to the couch and grabbed the dusty old book. I quickly tossed it in my room and returned back to Lilliana's.

"Uh... I think it's one of the smaller buildings near where we got our keys and schedules." I said lightly as we walked down the hall. When we got to the elevator, I checked the map of the school grounds, just to make sure the building that was in my mind that had the café was right.

There was a small sign next to the main building that announced the time and temperature. 105 degrees. Tht was cold for this time of year. I walked into the cool, air conditioned cafeteria. It wasn't like the ones you find at High School's or Junior Hugh's, it looked kind of like the diners you saw in the movies made in the Eighty's or Seventy's. Except, it was a little more modern. I walked up the counter. A girl who looked about our age, took our orders, after, minorly flirting with me. I sighed, and shook my head.

I quickly drained my coffee after I had eaten the couple of slices of toast I had. I never was really hungry in the mornings. I started thinking about the weird dream that I had, had last night. About M.L. shape shifting into that white fox. I sighed, I needed to tell Lilliana something. "I've never thought it was anything, until now, that we're being stalked by that lady." I said in a low whisper so only Lilliana could here. "My whole entire life, I've noticed people staring at me. Like I'm some creature in the zoo. And then they always act like M.L., they look away when they noticed that they were looking at me." I said, pursing my lips. And staring down at my white plate.

I nodded slowly. For some reason, this reminded me of some horror movie I had seen one night with my family. I pushed the thought out of my head. After asking Lilliana if she was done with her breakfast, I took her plate and mine over to the counter and gave them to the lady at the counter. "You ready to go?" I asked walking back over to our table.

I had to cover my mouth up, so it wouldn't be so obvious that I was laughing. After, I had stopped laughing. I smirked at her. "Yeah. If you count walking into the wall and then landing on your back end 'sticking the landing'. You get a ten in my book." I said in a teasing voice. Some people were looking at us as if we were mental, but I didn't care.

I grinned. "Too hot?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. "107 degrees isn't bad... You should be here when it gets up into the teens. Anyway, didn't you want to go to Starbucks?" I questioned lightly.

"You know-" I was interrupted by a voice, that strangeley seemed familiar.
"Jacob and Lilliana?" The voice said, and I realized where it was coming from; M.L.. The very same lady who had been following me and Lilliana around like a stalker was approaching both of us. "Who are you? And how in the world do you know our names?!" I demanded glaring at her. She held up her hands, like the police made you do, if they suspected you of owning a weapon.
"I'm Jessica Wood, and I know your names because, I've been protecting you both for all of your lives." She said in a whisper and then looked around nervously.
"Protecting us from what? It looks like you're the one wanting to harm us." I said sternly. She smiled and shook her head.
"The government, Jacob. The government. They're after both of you, and now that you both are away from your family's and are eighteen. You are in grave danger. Now, if you trust me, please follow me. We need to get somewhere. So I can explain all of this for you. And if you don't, you might as well consider yourself dead." She said grimly. I looked over at Lilliana, and hope she was thinking the same thing I was. Should we trust her? She's been spying on us all our lives. And she might be ready to kill us...

"Yea- No. I can't otherwise, I would. If someone hears what I'm about to tell you, you wouldn't survive. Someone would probably hear us and turn you in. Then your survival rate would drop down from 60% to 5%." Jessica said in a hard cold voice. "And, if you don't listen to me, your Survival Rate is 0%." She said strictly. Glaring at Lilliana.
I bit my lip as hard as ever. This choice could determine whether, I lived or didn't. Let alone Lilliana, which would have been even worse. "I say we trust her." I stated, looking over at Lilliana.

Jessica lead them to an old storage warehouse, and opened it up. Cold air rushed out. She flipped on a switch which lit up the whole entire dusty room. She led us to the center of the room after she had shut the door. My stomach tightened up. I was starting to regret going with her. She didn't say anything but, in a matter of milliseconds, there was a solid white fox, right where Jessica had been. I gaped. Then before I knew it, She was back as a human. "Now, Lilliana, focus on a pitch black leopard, and Jacob, focus on a black bear." She said softly. I frowned for a few moments. And then obeyed. In a blink of an eye, my face was closer to the ground, and I was strangely on all fours. What the-. I thought, and looked at myself in the reflection of an old television set. I saw the face of the very same black bear that I had thought of looking at me in the way. "No way!" I said, but it just came out in a soft growl.

I tried talking again, but yet again, it came out as a growl, how was I supposed to talk or help. I shook my head and padded in front of Lilliana, and then looked up at her. I just hoped she saw me in my eyes, behind my weirded outness.

I rubbed my nose gently with one of my paws. "Owww..." I said, and it came out as a slight whimper. When I got a clear look at Lilliana, I felt my heart skip a beat. She's still pretty. I thought shaking my head. I looked over at Jessica, she was now that white fox. You might want to keep your thoughts to yourself when you're an animal... I heard her voice in my head. And felt my stomach lurch. Had Lilliana just heard my thoughts?
