Valia~Book 1: A Princess's tale

Jared walked out of his cottage and grabed his card. He stared once again at his wrapped gift. He got out his tuxido and put it on his bed.

Runa smiled as she got up from her bed. She yawned and looked at the time. It was about thirty minutes before the ball started. She went downstairs and told a couple of servants to start setting up for it. Runa went outside. It was freezing today and she wrapped her coat around her more tightly.

Jared walked out with his coat on. He saw Runa walking around. He went up and greeted her. "Are you cold?" He asked, "You can come over to my cottage to warm a bit."

"Nah," Runa said smiling as Jared asked her if she was cold. She smiled and asked, "You're coming to the ball tonight, right?" She looked up at the sky The sun set at 5 and it was slowly getting darker. She rushed back to the castle and started to get ready for the ball.

He rushed after her. "I'll meet you there!" He called. Jared ran to his cottage and got ready. He stared once more at his present and grabed and shoved the perfectly wrapped present in his pocket.

(I gonna be here till 4:30 then comee back at 10:00.)

Some servants helped Runa put on her corset and dress. She put her hair up in the princess bun and that one lone string of curly brown hair fell in her face. She smiled and desended down the stairs getting ready to enter the ballroom.

Jared waked out into the blistful weather. He sshivered every now and then. Slowly but surly he got to the catsle stairs and waited.

Runa entered the Ballroom to find no one there. She thought everyone would be waiting for her...

Jared walked intised to see Runa just standing there, alone. "Runa?" He asked.

Runa turned around tears in her eyes. "No one came," She sat down on the steps and started to cry.

"they will, I promise, Runa, i promise." He comferted. He sttod up. "W-well would you like to dance the time away with me?" He asked.

Runa smiled and wiped her eyes. She stood up and the lone curl bounced in her face. She left it there and took Jared's hand going into the ballroom. The band started to play and she started to dance.

Jared danced along with her. He felt like he was in a dream.

Runa spun and twirled as her feet kept time with the music. She looked like she was floating, with the way she gracefully moved.

jared danced around the room. This is so magical! He thought. Runa is acting like an angel!

Runa danced and twirled more as the band got to the middle of the song. She smiled at Jared and spun around in a circle making her gown twist around her ankles.

Jared couldn't stop smiling. He listened and danced and danced and listened to the music,

Runa twirled and danced along to the music until the song slowly faded away.

Jared slowed down along with Runa. He laughed lightly to himself. He had never felt that good.

Runa smiled nad went to go sit down at a near-by table.

Jake smiled and walked into the room with his 3 presents. He walked over to Runa and handed them to her, "Happy brithday..." he smiled and kissed her cheek.
