Alice; a smile came to my faint at his reply; in all honesty, I was frightened myself. who wouldn't be? "I'm kind of freaked as well . . ."

Aeton nodded at Whitefeather's desicion. "Every patrol went this direction. You'd have to go out of Pond Dust's territory to catch anything going this way." He stated. Hunting was not fun in his perspective unless he was chasing exotic creatures like flying lizards or hawks.

Cicero padded back to camp with her catch to prepare for the feast. )I totally forgot what she was doing LOL(

Remi looked around as he and his sister padded into Pond Dust's old camp. "This feels really creepy Squirt... Let's make it quick."

Laya: i snorted, ears going back. "hmm... Daddy said the old camp was huge! With a lake with rivers and caves and waterfalls. Maybe we have to go a little further."

Iron claw: i licked her cheek. "it'll be fine..."

aayumi: "its the easiest route. We'll be quieter and we'll be able to access the deeper part of the forest."

Whitefeather thought for a moment, and then nodded. "Okay." If she heard Aayumi correclty, they were going through this way just to get to a deeper part of the forest where there was prey, and they would hunt there. The snow-white wolf smiled, ruffling her wings with satisfaction. She tried to do it quietly as not to make any branches or bushes rustle. She walked very lightly, wishing she could fly. But then all the animals and birds would see her. And that would just make their hunting party fail.

Mika-Mei watched happily as the wolves all had fun and went hunting. She was still outside the camp, but she could see Aeton and Whitefeather flying around. She glanced back toward Dex, who was still there, and tilted her head. "Why don't you take part in the hunting?" she asked.

)I thought Dex was gone already...? LOL(

Aayumi: "Left." I directed.

Dex: "I'm more of a.... night hunter."

(Dex was but he found Mika-Mei at the edge of the forest)

Alice; I blinked and gave him a soft smile, tail flicking. "yeah . . ." I replied, briefly touching noses with him before calmly looking out of the den, a calm yet serene look on my face. for a moment, I wondered where Aayumi was, but remembered she was likely to be out hunting with the others. ahh, so my ranting friend isn't here to rant to, and I'm definitely not complaining to my mate about the world, either . . . wouldn't be fair on him . . . there was a pause, and then: "what are we gonna do? because I can tell you now, I'm not sleeping all day . . . I have had enough sleep for a couple week's worth . . . and I obviously can't get up and actually walk around, not this heavily pregnant . . ."

Uisce heard something in the bushes. Startled, he sent out a jet of water that immediately smacked into the shrubs near him, but he hadn't hit anything. Maybe it was just a rabbit.

Uisce sighed. If he was going to stay out here until tensions in the pack settled, he'd probably need somewhere to stay, like a clearing just big enough to fit him. He swung his head around; he might have passed something in the last few minutes, so he turned around and started heading north.

Celestia opened one eye from her sleep as she sensed that the dark blue wolf was moving. The trees said he was relatively noisy too. Her two antennas laid flat between her ears but twitched every once and a while. Well, might as well have someone to talk to. She thought. Maybe he would be more cooperative today as she padded in his general direction.

Laya: "Hmmmm...... this way." I decided, leading him to a small path.

Iron Claw: The activities for her were pretty limited. I looked at her while contemplating her question. My ears went to the side as I thought. "We could talk to Danalli and hear her stories of battle... We could visit Keapamy and Ashra in the medicine cave... We could.... er... cloud watch? ... I guess..." Could I have been any more dumb?

Uisce shrugged. "I'm not going that far. Just to find a place to stay while my old pack settles down." He paused. "Besides, this place gets hot in the summer." Uisce had never been one to stand heat.

This green wolf Celestia didn't seem like an enemy, but he couldn't tell for sure. He would trust her for now, and if she did anything bad he wouldn't trust her anymore. Simple.

(it's spring, going into summer.)

Whitefeather nodded, obediently following Aayumi in the indicated direction. Her eyes widened as she walked silently; she had never seen this part of the forest from the ground anymore. Sure, she had flown over it, but never had she actually seen it under the trees or anything. With the lush undergrowth, it was beautiful -- and prime for prey. Her mouth began to water as her nose and ears grew alert, and she scented for any sign of prey they could hunt. Hopefully they would find something big, like a deer, but she wouldn't mind if it was something small like a rabbit, either.

Shadow Scar: I smelt the air. Crow. He wasn't far off. I shook my head to let Crow's smell escape my nostrils. I smelt the forest. Bear. A cub. Mother was in the tree. I need a party. I thought. Aayumi's party! I ran silently to her party. "Aayumi! Cicero! Whitefeather! We need to go to Camp and find a few more wolves! There's a bear and we might be able to hunt it!"

???: "You don't need to go back to camp for a wolf, Shadow Scar."

Shadow Scar: "Crow! Wow, you were fast. This is my.. er.... old friend, Crow." I can't let them know that he is my son! I thought.

Whitefeather's ears pricked and excitement surged in her as she heard Shadow Scar call. He was running silently toward them, and stopped and reported that there was a bear nearby that they could hunt. A bear? Whitefeather wondered. She had never even tried to hunt something like a bear before. Hopefully the fur wouldn't be too thick... But the animals were large and meaty, and perhaps if they could get through the thick skin, they could fell one. Maybe Whitefeather could attack from above... the winged wolf was so eager that she was already thinking about a strategy.

Then there was another voice that Whitefeather didn't recognize. She glanced to the side and noticed that a winged, pitch-black wolf with a strange mask had approached them. As Shadow Scar introduced the new wolf (somewhat awkwardly), Whitefeather learned that his name was Crow. Simple, but very fitting. Whitefeather dipped her head to the wolf that was the exact opposite color of her. "I'm Whitefeather," she greeted, her thick tail swishing behind her. Then she glanced back to Shadow Scar with admiration in her eyes. "So, shall we go?"

Shadow Scar: "Yes. We should go." I shook my head to clear my thoughts.

Alice: I blinked at his reply. there was an almost long, silent pause, before ( and astonishingly so ) I smiled at his reply, my blue gaze flickering with amusement. "we can pay Danalli a visit -- haven't seen her all that recently . . ." I suggested, taking a stab at being helpful and trying to lift his mood; I knew he all too well, and by the look on his face, he seemed to be almost grimly ashamed at his offerings. wasn't like trying to lift his mood would hurt anything. "it could be something fun . . ."

Iron Claw: "Then lets go." I helped her up.

Whitefeather looked a little concerned as Shadow Scar shook his head, and wondered if there was something wrong. But something made her not want to show that concern, so she turned her head away, glancing toward the entrance as she followed after Shadow Scar. Before she left, she quickly smiled at Crow. She didn't want to make him feel unwelcome. Then she headed out into the beautiful forest once again, her extremely fluffy tail wagging joyfully behind her as she trotted behind Shadow Scar. The Great Feast is coming up, she reminded herself, smiling as she listened all around. I can't afford to be distracted.
