Alexsei continued to stare at him deadly throughout the speech. "And what of the elements that have not been named yet? Like the toxic glass element?" He probed into this old dog's knowledge. 'How do these Callings differ from such undiscoveries?"

Swiftkill leaned over Alexsei's shoulder and whispered in his ear. "Do not trust him.... I knew him in my time as untrustworthy."

A green wolf flicked her ears in the Ivy bush where she sat, watching the new un-forest wolf as he just sat there. Who was he?

lWhitefeather glanced up as she heard another set of paw steps in the camp. She could hear that they were coming from the entrance. Whoever who was coming into the camp was just arriving. She noticed that it was the strange wolf, whose name she still did not know, who had exited camp just before fighting had begun. Though Whitefeather's ears twitched warily, he didn't appear to be dangerous. It was most likely just a coincidence. She nodded in greeting, suspicion evaporating away, and her blue eyes followed the dark-colored wolf as he leaped up onto the High Rock. The white wolf was looking directly toward him now; whatever he was doing, he was demanding attention. Suddenly the dark-colored wolf raised his head and howled.

Whitefeather noticed that his voice was much different from those of the Pond Dust wolves. It was somehow much deeper, and sounded older somehow, as if this wolf had been through much more than anyone else in the camp had. It made Whitefeather curious... What had he gone through? The white she-wolf stood up as the howl began to drop in pitch and volume, her tail lifted and ears pricked forward as she listened to what the wolf had to say.

What followed, though, wasn't pretty. Alexsei, again, padded forward, challenging the strange dark-colored wolf with a growl. The dark-colored wolf then retorted, somehow wittily. This wolf was Danalli's brother, and his name was Shadow Scar. He had been traveling for a long time, apparently, and he talked of something called "Callings" -- like elements, apparently. Being such a young wolf, this was all overwhelming to Whitefeather. But what Shadow Scar said last was most surprising to her. They had to defeat the... deadly Sinners? Envy... Lust... Wrath... Greed... Sloth... Pride... and Gluttony. Were they all spirits? It almost overwhelmed Whitefeather with fear. But at the same time, there was a powerful air about both her Alpha and Shadow Scar. The two were different somehow, but she couldn't tell exactly why.

And they had to travel to the north. For some reason, this excited Whitefeather. She wanted to see snow again! Her element was ice, so perhaps she could become stronger there. She jumped just a little, but lowered her tail and padded forward a little more, still listening. Alexsei asked another question, but Whitefeather didn't really understand it.

((Wait... both you and Varjak are only twelve? You guys seem a lot older than that - Blanx is an admin, and Varjak runs Pond Dust... that's amazing.))

Uisce raised his head from his kill to watch the female walk off, and then continued eating. She said that she was a traitor to Pond Dust - or at least that's what the pack thought. Between bites, he called, "Bye, Celestia."

A traitor, huh? Better not hang around too long. She looked like an earthy wolf, and if the two fought together Uisce would probably lose. His water was harmful, but he had no idea what Celestia's power was, and it could be something dangerous like Dex's. Better not pick a fight with this adolescent she-wolf.

After Uisce filled himself for the first time in a week, he simply left the deer. Something else could eat it later.

He glanced up at the sky. Would the clouds cover the moon tonight? The moon sure was pretty... with its cold air and glaring white eyes. It made the world cold, and it made Pond Dust cold.

Uisce would go back once things settled down. Perhaps once the Sinners disappeared, or were somehow eradicated. For now, though, he'd have to stay out of the violence, and perhaps train himself to get stronger so he could be more useful to the Pack as a hunter once he got back.

Staring up at the treetops and the perhaps darkening sky behind them, he dropped his lower jaw slightly and began to howl. He wasn't quite sure why he was howling - he just felt like it right now. He guessed that he was announcing himself a temporary loner until further notice. Missing in action, if you wanted to call it that. He wasn't abandoning his pack; just.. taking a break. He thought that he might perhaps be one of the youngest loners, if you could call it that. He wasn't a pup, but he wasn't an adult either. And he was definitely not a loner. Just a lonely packmate loyal to Pond Dust.

Shadow Scar: I just glared at Alexsei. "Toxin." I looked back up. "Hunting Party! Who wants to hunt?"

Laya: I reached the old beach. "Come on, Remi!"

Whitefeather looked up as the gray-and-cyan striped wolf called for a hunting party. She had been staring at the ground, thinking, before, but now Shadow Scar had once again caught her attention. Her ears prick, and though her tail was held low, it wagged a little, and she padded forward. "I'd like to come." Now that she was closer, she could see that this wolf was covered in scars, and had half an ear missing. It almost frightened her, but she didn't want to be rude, so she stayed calm on the outside. Her icy eyes settled on Shadow Scar's of about the same color. They were the same color as his markings, but just a little darker... And he looked like he'd be an experienced hunter. Though she was still a little unnerved by his appearance, she smiled, ready to hunt.

Mika-Mei still looked irritated at Shadow Scar. After the battle, he had just paraded in as if he was the boss. Alexsei was the alpha here! Sure, he was younger, but... there were several occasions where the younger wolf was the one in charge. Mika-Mei could remember these from her travels. But she wouldn't bring any of them up. For now, she would just only listen to Alexsei. But then again, she wasn't of this pack... Perhaps she could just live nearby.
Before the hunting party left, she dashed out of the camp and turned a little so she would reach the edge of the territory quickly. Pond Dust probably wouldn't mind if she was in their territory, but she didn't want to take a chance. Soon the light pinkish wolf scented that she was at the end of the territory and into unmarked land. Her bright pink eyes traveled around as she slowed her pace and just took in the scenery. She was still a wanderer, but she had a sort of home...

Alexsei smirked. "Ha. It's called Mercury. Swiftkill was right about you." He barred his teeth and stalked off.

Remi shook out hisi fur as he also climbed up onto the beach. "Okay squirt. Now what?"

Shadow Scar: I had always been the wolf for huge hunting parties. And the small amount of Hunters meant I would need to pull wolves fro, other ranks. I noticed the white winged wolf step by me for hunting. She was a Fighter. I could tell by her build. I picked off the sleek wolves I saw in camp, who were obviously hunters. "Dex! Feather! Cicero! Aayumi!" I called few Hunters. As they came padding towards me I turned to find the muscular bodies of Fighters. "Gryon! Time Talon! Gun!" One more wolf would do it.... "Ashra!" The blind wolf came to me. I noticed Alexsei standing behind me. "I don't waste my time with other elements. To me there were always the basic ones, fire, ice, water, earth, light and shadow."

Time Talon: "Shadow Scar. Trust me! I am very honored to be hunting with you!" I bowed to the massive black and cyan wolf. "But why take a young blind wolf who has never left camp?"

Shadow Scar: I just smiled a little at the armor covered wolf and blinked. He just shrank back and behind me. I looked at the smaller she wolf next to me. "Danalli said you name was Whitefeather. She taught me all the names."

Dex: "Shadow Scar, sir, can I go ahead of the party to scout the outskirts first?"

Shadow Scar: "Sure! Of course Dex, still as happy as ever, I see!"

Dex: I bowed my thanks to the large wolf who could kill me with a blow of his paw or a bite of his fangs. I looked up at his sincere eyes and the swiftly turned around and trotted into the forest. As soon as I was out of ear-shot I began to run. I ran fast and quietly until I found the purple wolf staring into the fields. "Mika-Mei! What are you doing here?"

Alexsei refused to join the hunting party, but didn't want to cause more chaos so he let the group take off. "Aeton," He called to the fighter.

The cinnamon and cyan wolf slinked over to Alpha. "You called?"

The pup smiled a little. "I was gonna ask you to play tag with me, but there's more important stuff to do as an Alpha I guess....Alert the guards that I want that massive elder monitored- Inform me when they return." Alexsei lifted his nose in the air. "Thank StarDust for southerly winds, too."

Aeton rolled his eyes and nodded. "Alright. Stay out of trouble!" He barked at the young pup and walked off torwards the guards to relay the message.

Gryon heard his name and raised his head, trotting calmly over to Shadow Scar. Even though he was a hunter, Gryon was slightly intimidated by this large wolf, but he refused to show it on his face. He kept his mouth straight, bowing his head a little to acknowledge his thanks of being included in the hunting party. Just in case anything came up, probably. Better safe than sorry.



Uisce's voice finally stopped, and he trotted farther into the forest. Was Pond Dust done fighting? Perhaps if Uisce could get stronger, he'd be able to help his Pack fight off the Sinners ... but in addition to being stronger he needed to be smarter. And older, since he was still an adolescent. Maybe he could spend a week or so out here and then see what happens.

Whitefeather seemed a little confused as she heard and saw Shadow Scar call for other wolves to go hunting. Then she laughed at herself inwardly as she remembered; she was a Fighter, wasn't she? As much as she loved the feeling of the hunt, it wasn't her job to go outside and kill prey animals. Her wings folded against her side again, and she took a step back, allowing the other wolves who were called to gather in front of Shadow Scar. Her eyes drifted down to the ground for a moment in disappointment. She had gone out to hunt earlier, but didn't get a chance because of that strange mist around her paws... so the occasion was wasted.

But then she heard Shadow Scar address her. The white wolf looked up again, her ears pricked, and nodded quickly. "Yes. I'm Whitefeather." She glanced at Shadow Scar -- indirectly so he wouldn't think she was challenging him -- and tilted her head to the side a little, wondering what he wanted to tell her.

Mika-Mei was quickly broken from her thoughts at the sound of a familiar voice. Immediately her ears pricked, and she stood up, only to whirl around a moment later at the voice. The wolf was already closer to her when she reacted. "Dex?" For a moment, she paused, confused. She would like to ask why he was here... But she would answer his question first. "I'm just here because..." Finally she finished, "I'd like to stay near Pond Dust, but when I asked Alexsei if I could be a part of the pack, he didn't answer..." She shifted her paws on the ground nervously.

Danalli: "Alexsei! I want a word with you! Now!"

Shadow Scar: "You were eager to hunt. The pack needs more wolves like that. I hope Sage's pups... well I hope they don't disappoint me."

Dex: "New alphas don't know anything! I was born in this pack just as Lillian Rose was taking her new position as alpha... years and years ago. I had trained fast and easily learned the ways of the forest. That of course, was in our old forest. The old forest will always be my home... But after a year or a few, can't remember, I was sitting there on Danalli's rock in the middle of Willow Lake, when over the rivers I saw a shiny, long haired, purple wolf. Of course it was my position to challenge her. I had took her to Lillian and after some questions the alpha took her in. I was the only wolf who Dazzel could talk to. Then... the three vampires invaded. Twilight, Gaaria, and Lamia. Dazzel and I of course took part in the battle. The vampires had housed in a tower on top of a hill. It was hard to get to them... I was fighting off Twilight when Gaaria... Gaaria attacked Dazzel... I was knocked out by Twilight's bite. I was a Vampire. I woke up, so confused but resisting the Vampire urges to kill. The blood-lust was terrible. Dazzel had suffered a terrible blow to the head and couldn't remember me. "

Whitefeather was still a little bewildered by how Shadow Scar was addressing her -- as if he was stating the obvious for some philosophical reason -- but replied, "Yes." Her paws shuffled a little, and her tail moved slightly lower between her legs. "I'm a Fighter, so I don't get much of a chance to go out and run around and scent for prey and follow it... Mostly it's just training for battle." Again she indirectly glanced up at him with grayish-blue eyes, hoping he would understand. For some reason, he seemed like a wolf lacking much emotion... His eyes seemed angry sometimes, yet his expression would remain stolid.

Mika-Mei was slightly confused by Dex's story, but she had heard of the vampire wolves, long ago. Fortunately she was nowhere nearby, yet... somehow she remembered this. Her pink eyes rested on Dex for a moment before she said quietly -- hoping that Dex wouldn't mind her asking, "What happened to Dazzel after that?" Somehow this story struck her with curiosity. There was something she needed to know... something tugging at her. Maybe it was just the mention of the vampire wolves... She had thought that they were gone.

Shadow Scar: I said nothing and shot off with lightning speed with my wolves behind me.

Dex: "She didn't remember me.... until... until I took her to our favorite spot. Up on the cliffs above the bay where the sun sank down. All of her memory returned. Gaaria and Lamia were killed, but Twilight's reign continued. We went to fight her... the tower collapsed and killed Twilight. I turned normal and was no longer a Vampire. It was the next fall... after the Vampire attack... she was expecting my pups. We couldn't have been happier. One day I was gonna go hunt. She insisted she come watch. I refused and left. Then I noticed she had followed me. We laughed it off and I told her to lay in the leaves and take a nap while I was hunting. I come back with a baby fawn and she was gone. I followed her scent trail until I reached her. She was sitting in our spot. The cliff on the bay. It was morning, and, even though the sun was rising on the east and the cliff we were on was on the west, she sat, watching the colors of the sky." I started to choke on my own breath. My voice filled with sorrow and my eyes got foggy and watery. "We sat and ate. I still remember the exact colors on the colors that reflected on the ocean. We looked in the water together. She licked my cheek as we sat. I told her I loved her and she told me the same. We sat there. And suddenly... this cracking and crumbling noise occurred. I turned to look at her. Terror was all I could see, radiating from both me and her. She scrambled on the edge of the cliff, trying to reach me. I grabbed her scruff but the weight of her and the pups, and emotional pressure... caused... me to... lose her." I choked again. "She fell... I didn't bother running to the ramp to get to the bay. I just jumped down. I landed perfectly... unlike my love. She lay there, broken. a small puddle of blood on her right side. I picked up her beautiful broken body and... well I took her home. I talked with Lillian Rose and she decided to hold a vigil. We sat vigil and I hadn't left her side, even when she was in her grave on the cliff by the bay. I had taken her necklace. The one I am wearing now." I shook my neck fur to reveal a tight brown choker with a diamond shape amethyst on it. I looked at my paws. "If I didn't go hunt.... Dazzel would be with me still, and my pups. But she died with them... and I will never see such happiness again."

Danalli: "I'm not, but even if I was you would have to listen to me." I snarled at the arrogant alpha. "I do not need you monitoring my brother. He is harmless. I will inform the guards that they are only to be on their regular schedule and rotation. They are not to watch Shadow Scar like he's some trouble rogue!" I scratched my claws on the ground. "And as for you. you need to take your temper down! After a while of you being pushy, bossy, and aggressive, the pack will look to Lidka instead!"
