IAgents Two By: Rebecca Preface –
- Spoiler:
I sat in my bedroom tapping a pencil on my thigh while I worked on my Swahili homework. The black and purple bedspread I was sitting on was rough from the couple of years I had, had it and I glanced up at the plain cream walls that were in every room in the boarding school. I was one of the lucky ones, the older ones, the ones that got a room to themselves. On the opposite end of the room was a desk with a cork board hanging above it. On that cork board were millions of picture from the past couple months of me and my friends. There was one picture that wasn’t on the cork board; it was in a frame sitting on my desk. In the picture was my friends and I, sitting around a table dressed to the nines, it was taken the day we had all received our rewards for successfully bringing the terrorist industry in the U.S. to a halt. Oh, did I forget to mention that my friends and I are spies? Sorry, it kind of slips my mind sometimes. The door to my room suddenly opened and I glanced down to the floor watching as a small black lab bounded into the room and then leapt up onto my bed. We weren’t really supposed to have animals at the school, but Runa was a gift from one of my best friends, Anna, aptly named for a username I had on a site that my friends and I all got on frequently. I have seven best friends, Alley Grange, Daniel Mattson, Benjamin Smith, Annabelle Jackson, Lauren Mallory, and Jay Night. We had all gotten together five months ago because the CIA wanted to recruit them, but when Alley was kidnapped by my psycho grandfather, everything kind of went downhill. In the end, we all managed to get out alive by blowing up the warehouse he was in, along with an entire terrorist group. Now we were all at The Vermont Boarding School of the Gifted, or a spy school to train us. I had been attending here for a couple of years, so myself, Dan, and Ben were all in higher classes than our friends, but that didn’t stop all of us from being inseparable. I tapped my pencil on my leg again, sighing as Runa tried to eat my face with her tongue. Finally, I pushed her away and laughed before someone said, “Animal abuse, Rebecca!” Rolling my eyes, I turned to look at Lauren and grinned at her. She was holding a small white tiger in her arms, until she let it leap to the ground and Runa tackled it from the side. I shook my head, “I can’t believe they let you keep a wild animal.” “Artemis isn’t a wild animal!” Lauren stated sitting on the end of my bed, “She’s a white tiger, and my baby.” She gave me a look that said not to argue with her as she leaned down and stopped Artemis from sticking Runa in the side with her claws. “Everyone’s waiting downstairs, we’re going to head out for pizza. You’re coming right?” I glanced down at my homework, really not wanting to translate ‘War and Peace’ into Swahili just yet. Nodding, I grabbed Runa up into my arms and raised an eyebrow at Lauren, “Everyone else have their pets?” “Of course!” Lauren laughed grinning as I locked up my room and headed downstairs. So there was little favoritism going on in the boarding school, it didn’t matter, because that gave my friends and I free reign to leave the campus and do whatever we wanted to, whenever we wanted too, as long as we got out school finished, but I could translate tonight, all nighters were my favorite. I spotted my friends in the lobby, Anna coming straight over to me with a small orange tabby cat. Holding it up, she grinned at Runa and cooed, “You remember Cricket, Runa?” My dog barked happily, wagging her tail. Anna’s mother had found a black lab that was pregnant on the street and helped her deliver her pups. Runa was one of them, and had grown up as a puppy with Cricket, Anna’s cat around all the time. Suddenly, I was tackled by a huge grey mass of fur. “SOCKY!” I shouted, as his giant wolfhound mauled me with his tongue, everyone was beside themselves in laughter, because whenever we went out, we took our pets, and Dan’s dog loved to tackle me and lick my face off. He was a killer with love, and he wouldn’t wait to lick you to death. Dan frequently said it was because of his killer tendencies, and that he had specially trained Baskerville from a puppy to not kill his friends. I said it was because the great dog was a softy. Someone pulled Baskerville off of me while Jay offered me a hand so I could get up. “Ugh…” I groaned, rubbing my head, “Dan, please try to rein your dog in.” “You don’t stop a bulldozer from mowing down things, just like you don’t stop Baskerville from marking his next prey.” Dan muttered lowly, petting him and whispering something in the big dog’s ear that sounded strangely like, ‘I will give you twenty biscuits if you try and maul Otter.’ I glared at Dan and smiled at Jay, who had a yellow lab that was named Jacob. Alley had a cat that was cream colored and named Peach, and Ben had an otter named… Otter. We tried not to make fun of him for how creative he was when it came to names. “Let’s go get some bacon, Fools!” Dan suddenly shouted dragging Alley outside with him. I rolled my eyes and followed my friends outside, before the cell phone in my pocket started going haywire. “Hello?” I answered, knowing that no one called this phone except for the agency. “Rebecca Randall?” A deep voice asked, and I recognized it immediately. “Yes?” I whispered, terrified. The voice on the other end paused, now I think it was for dramatic effect, “We have just received information that Ethan Cook, a boy who used to work for the FBI has transferred to the other side and is out to find Jacob Adams.” I blanched as the man continued, “The CIA has put you on the case, you have to travel to New Jersey right now and get to Jacob before Ethan, if Ethan gets there first, the entire agency will collasp.” “No…” I whispered, “No, he can’t be…” “Yes, Ms. Randall, it is,” The person paused, “We’ll have a car waiting for you in the front.” There was a dial tone as Anna walked over to me, “Hey, you coming?” “Uh, I just remembered I left something in my room, I’ll catch up in my car, okay?” I lied, as she nodded happily and ran off to go join the rest of our friends. I gulped. You might be wondering who Jacob Adams is. In real life, he is the son of the President of the United States. On RPC, his nickname is Suburbia. In real life, there is a very angry boy by the name of Ethan who now works for the Russian Mafia who wants to kill him to get back at me. On RPC, He was one of my best friends. In real life, He needed my help. This was turning to be a wonderful start to my second semester in Vermont.
Chapter One –
- Spoiler:
I slid into the car they had waiting for me, it was a black Volvo. “Charles?” I whispered from the backseat as the driver slid out of the parking lot and onto the soon to be dark road. “Yes Ms. Randall?” He finally asked, turning onto an on-ramp for the interstate. I gulped, looking out the window, “Will I come back from this mission?” “Ms. Randall, do you wish me to reply truthfully?” Charles asked, coasting on the interstate, we had a long night in front of us, especially since I wouldn’t be seeing my friends… for a long time. “Yes, Charles.” I muttered, “Tell me the truth.” He looked at me from the rearview mirror and sighed, “Ms. Randall, it is highly unlikely that you will survive.” “Thank you Charles.” I whispered, blinking back tears and my fears as my non-work phone started to vibrate and ring like crazy in my other pocket. I pulled it out and looked at the screen. It was a text from Ben, asking where I was. I couldn’t even respond. Suddenly, it started to ring again, one text from Dan, one from Jay, one from Lauren, one from Anna, and one from Alley. ‘Where’d you go?’ from Dan, ‘Hey, are you still at the school?’ from Jay, ‘Are you coming back?’ from Lauren, ‘Becca, where are you?’ from Anna, and ‘Are you okay, Rebecca?’ from Alley. I couldn’t take it, but as soon as I had decided to reply, my work phone decided to start ringing. Picking it up, I didn’t bother to glance at then number before answering, “Hello?” “Ah, Rebecca Randall… It’s been so long since I heard your voice. I think the last time was right before you slammed me against a wall.” Ethan sighed dramatically on the other end of the phone while I scrambled to find my laptop in the backseat so I could tack the call. “Don’t bother, Ms. Randall, you don’t have enough time to track me. I’ll make it easier for you.” He paused, “I’m currently right outside of New Jersey. You have three hours to get here and save your little friend before we get him.” There was a click and I cursed under my breath before my other phone started to ring. Flipping it open, I forgot it wasn’t my work phone and hissed, “What do you want?” “Runa!” Anna freaked, calling me by my old username, “Where are you? We’re all back at the school and your gone! So is half of your stuff!” So the government had went ahead and packed for me, lovely, at least I would have everything I needed. I sighed, “Anna, I can’t tell you. Sorry.” She started to protest, but I had to hang up the phone. She called right back, and left a voicemail, not to mention every single one of my other friends. I just had to resort to turning the thing off. Part of getting assignments was that you couldn’t tell anyone for the risk of being made while you were in the field. Charles glanced at me in the mirror before he turned back to the road, this was almost too much for me to handle. I couldn’t just up and drop everything! I needed a bit of warning for these things! Especially if it involves one of my friends being kidnapped, or killed! - I had assumed the CIA had alerted the Secret Service to make sure no one got to Jacob or the first family, but when we arrived within a mile of the house, started to get stopped every five seconds, while people checked my badge and Charles each time. It was insane how much we had to go through before I finally could exit the car and race towards the door. It opened before me and a boy with black shaggy hair that had red streaks in it and bright blue eyes grinned at me, “Heya Bexxy!” I blew out a breath, “Good Lord, Sub, do you how much I’ve had to go through?” I hissed, pushing him back inside while checking the security details that were assigned inside the house, “Gosh, the secret service is shabby when it comes to protocol inside of a subject’s house.” I hissed, glaring at an agent as he gave me a blank look. Jacob laughed, “I figured this was just another letter they got threatening me or my parents. What’s wrong? They wouldn’t have sent you if this were routine…” He became seriously as he pulled me down a hall, up a flight of stairs and pushed me into a room decorated like something straight out of a Japanese Anime show. The giant TV that took up one entire wall was playing an episode of ‘Pokémon’. I turned away from the TV and went straight to the open curtains. Drawing them shut, I turned and glared at Jake, “Don’t you know a sniper could easily shoot through those? In the dark? With a blindfold?” “Whoa, someone’s a little melodramatic.” Jacob muttered through laughter, “What’s up?” I blew out another frustrated breath while he crashed on the red and white couch, decorated like the Japanese flag and patted the spot beside him. I sat down stiffly and looked at my hands, “Jake, there’s a Russian Mob Boss after you.” “Okay, that’s a new one.” Jacob muttered leaning backwards, “Can’t the government just hunt him down and gun him down?” “It doesn’t work like that. He hasn’t made a move on you yet, so we can’t just arrest him. He has to at least attempt to kidnap or kill you before we take legal action, or the pact between America and Russia will fall through and we’ll have a World War Three on our hands.” I explained, glancing up at him and pursing my lips, “I’ve been assigned to keep you safe.” Jacob knew everything that had happened, because of his father, he had just yet to meet any of us. He had been there when we had all accepted our awards, but the Secret Service wouldn’t let him get close to any of us. They were incompetent and lazy unless it came to the President’s safety, apparently he was their main priority, not his son’s. Ugh. “Sweet!” Jake grinned, throwing an arm around my shoulder, “Then we can hang out together! Oh, I can show you the room they’ve got set up for you and everything…” He trailed off as the glass in the giant windows smashed. I tackled him on the couch and we both fell to the floor. Shards hit my back as I protected Jake with my own body, and something shot through my back leg. Bullets. Pulling out my gun, I shot back through the window, shouting, “Stay down! I need back-up! SHOTS FIRED! SHOTS FIRED!”
Chapter Two –
- Spoiler:
“I will kill her.” Jay growled as he dialed Rebecca’s number again into his cell phone and listened to it ring once before going straight to her voicemail. “Yeah, she’s dead.” Danny chuckled darkly, knowing how it felt to have a best friend who wouldn’t answer their phone. He gave a pointed glance to Ban across the room before watching Jay start to pace the length of the room. “What is she doing? How can she just brush Anna off? We’re worried about her!” He groaned; raking a hand through his hair before a bright look came across his face, like a light bulb had just gone off. “She’s going to kill me if she ever finds out, what I’m about to do.” Danny glanced up at him and grinned, “What do you have in that little rich head of yours?” Jay glared at him, but was too excited to really get angry, “I can get the technology to track her necklace.” “DO IT.” Lauren commanded, standing up so quickly that Artemis hissed and leapt off her lap before wandering over to Cricket and Peach, who were both cuddling together. Runa and Jacob’s tails were wagging as they sat in a corner, taunting Baskerville, who was asleep by Dan’s chair, Runa would bark quietly, and watch as the great dog opened an eye, but right as he closed it, Jacob would bark and make the dog wake up again. Ben’s Otter was currently in his room, because people tended to give you strange looks when you tried to let them let you take it inside by claiming you had a seeing-eye otter. Yes, Ben had tried that. … So had Dan, except his excuse for bringing Baskerville into a Toys-R-Us was that he needed a protection detail he was so famous, and that if he left him outside, there would be a mass murder, because the dog was so evil. The cashier had snorted when Baskerville had lay down in the middle of the Barbie isle and fallen asleep. She hadn’t been convinced, obviously; which was embarrassing for the group because Dan got kicked out, whining about how he wouldn’t be able to buy his new videogame for a week. “Jay,” Ben muttered, running a hand through his hair, like the other boy always did when he was stressed. “Can you really track her? Do you think she’s in trouble?” Jay paused, “Track her? Maybe. Trouble? Yeah, she’s probably into something." Anna frowned, “When do you think you can do it?” He looked off into space and then glanced down at his ankle, “Twenty-four hours at the earliest. It all depends.” Dan gave a look that can only be described as ‘D=’ before patting Baskerville’s head and pulling out an IPod Touch. Grinning, he stuck it under the dog’s nose and waited as the Irish Wolfhound sniffed it and barked lowly. “Socky… What is that?” “Rule number ‘33. Just because you are good at stealing doesn't mean you should’ and ‘34. I want my iPod back’.” Dan muttered, with a smirk before Baskerville let out a howl and bolted towards the door. “Come on Watson! We’ve got a case to crack!” Dan shouted, tugging Ben up from his chair and racing out the door behind his dog. Jay, Lauren, Anna, and Alley all looked at each other before following. Knowing Baskerville, he was on his way to McDonalds to steal hamburgers while the staff wasn’t paying attention. - One Day Later: 10:00 a.m., Harrison, Vermont (Or, The Projects of Vermont) – “I can’t believe you forgot to get money for a cab back.” Lauren hissed, giving Dan the evil eye while he petted Baskerville’s head and looked solemnly at the McDonald’s they were sitting in front of. “And I can’t believe out of the six of us we don’t have a penny in our pockets!” Suddenly, Jay’s face lit up, “I am an idiot.” “Wow… Uh, alright, Jay…” Anna muttered, “I don’t think right now is the time to have self-esteem issues…” He glared at her, “I’m not having self-esteem issues, Anna. I’m talking about the fact that I have this.” He bent down to his tennis shoes and pressed a button on the heel before a small panel popped out and three credit cards landed in Jay’s outstretched hand. He chuckled maniacally before flashing them to his friends. “We’ve got plastic, which is better than money. This’ll get us where-ever you want to go.” Lauren leapt up and tackled him in a hug before there was a gunshot. Alley screamed out as blood splattered near her and Dan and Ben both pulled out their own guns. Baskerville whined and ducked to sit in front of Anna, acting as a giant fluffy shield for the tiny girl. Danny cocked his pistol and aimed it at the red-haired and wild brown eyed girl holding the other gun that had shot Lauren’s arm. “Drop the gun.” He growled, glaring at her. She giggled. It was high-pitched, and was strange coming out of her mouth, because of the fierce appearance she had. As she opened her mouth and stated, “No,” In an equally high-pitched, almost girlish squeal. Ben glared at her, getting ready to shoot his own gun, “We are Government Agents, drop the gun or we’ll shoot.” Lauren looked angry and shocked as she applied pressure to the wound in her arm and Anna glanced at her, knowing full-well that she couldn’t move when someone was threatening to shoot a part of her team; it was part of the rules. The girl gave another high-pitched and girlish giggle before cocking her head to the side and grinning at the agents, “I know that.” She giggled again and then looked into the shadows, “Ethan-Baby,” She frowned, “They’re being mean to me! Make them stop!” Her eyes grew big as Ethan stepped out of the shadows and threw an arm around her shoulders and grinned. “Hello, IAgents, It’s so horrible to see you all alive.”
Chapter Three –
- Spoiler:
“Ow, ouch, ah,” Jacob groaned as an E.M.T. worked on a gash on his leg. I was already wrapped up like a mummy, sitting in a chair with my leg propped up from where a bullet had hit me. “Suck it up,” I mumbled dryly, looking at the bandage and wondering how long it would take for the stupid thing to heal. Poking at the gauze, suddenly, I heard something that could be only described as a cross between a yip, a mew, and a meow. Jacob’s head shot up as a light brown fur ball raced towards him on the couch and leapt up before sitting down in his lap. I raised an eyebrow, “… Is that a lion, Sub?” “Why yes, yes it is Rebby.” “One, don’t call me that; and two, why in the world do you have a lion?” I questioned, at the end. If he called me Rebby one more time, I was going to personally choke him; Ethan wouldn’t get a chance to kill him, because he’d already be dead and in a ditch somewhere far, far away. He flinched as the E.M.T. pulled the wrap tighter around his leg and told him it would be painful for a few days before turning towards me, “His name’s Reiki and he’s my pet.” “You couldn’t get a normal pet, like a dog, a cat… A fish?” I muttered, looking at the brown fur ball and jerking backwards when it hissed at me. “Ah, you know what? Never mind, forget I ever questioned you.” Suddenly, my necklace started vibrating and beeping like crazy. I picked it up and pressed the small button before muttering into it, “Hello?” There was silence for a moment until I heard a sickly sweet, and high-pitched, girlish voice giggle, “Go into a room by your self.” Jacob glanced at me as I obeyed, holding my arm to my chest in the sling. Shutting myself in some random room, I sat down on a chair and used the wireless Bluetooth that was in my ear. Activating the device, I heard the childish voice again, “Good job! You get a gold star!” “Who are you?” I growled, nothing irked me more than being treated like a child, but I had learned quickly when I had first joined the agency, that if someone you don’t know tells you to do something, it instantly turns into a self-hostage situation, and those are very tricky to handle, plus, I had a slight, tiny, miniscule, anger management issue. Possibly… I heard the giggle again before there was slight movement and a smooth male voice came on the line. Ethan. “Rebecca, you should be nicer to my girlfriend, she does have a gun, and she is the one that helped me fine your friends.” I went pale, my friends might have well have been my family, no, they were my family. My father had been killed two years ago from a bomb, and all of my older relatives were either dead, or not able to contact me. My mother was a touchy subject; my mother was an entirely different subject. “Let them go, Ethan, or so help me, I’ll hunt you down and gun you down, before bringing you back to life to clean up the mess.” I growled, my voice deep and menacing as I glared at the stupid wall tapestry hanging on the wall beside the window. How did they know where I was? How had they known which room Jake and I had been in? The windows. I fell to the ground, jarring my arm as Ethan barked in my ear, “Stand back up Rebecca! I have a sniper ready to shoot Jacob Adams and a set of guards ready to shoot your friends. I. Said. STAND!” He barked again, as I slowly stood back up wincing at the shot of pain going through my arm. “What do you want, Ethan?” I whispered, knowing he could hear me, even though my voice was low and I was staring out the window into the darkness. “I want you. You ruined my life, Rebecca Randall. You screwed with my entire plan to be the top agent in the FBI. You came in, with all your little friends, and took the agencies by storm, and made sure everyone paid attention to you.” Ethan hissed, as I spotted movement in a tall oak tree directly outside the window in the front of the forest. Sniper. I could spot them out miles away. He was close, meaning he might not be that good. “Ethan…” I whispered, prolonging the moment, trying to form a plan in my head. “I’m so sorry… I wasn’t planning on this. Please… Come back to the agency… We can help you… I’ll quit. I will promise to quit the agency. Then you can be number one.” I offered, before I heard a giggle and Ethan snarl. “I don’t want your pity, you little-” He muttered, going off into a rant, that I tried to focus on while keeping an eye one the sniper, and starting my plan. Grabbing a slip of paper from the table, without bending down, I scratched one small letter into it with my nail, slicing the paper down the center. Pretending that the cord my necklace on, broke, I bent down and then slid the paper across the floor. Ethan didn’t even pause from his ranting, and shouting, he had no clue and for that, I was highly grateful the boy had slight ADHD. … So I read his file. Sue me. Watching it slip underneath the slit in the bottom of the door, praying that someone would pick it up and understand the message. What did the message have on it? The single letter ‘S’. What did it mean? ‘Sniper.’ “I want you to sneak out tonight, and come to the diner you passed in town. From there, we’ll talk.” Ethan finally hissed at the end, as I was already standing back upright and looked like I had never moved. Suddenly, time slowed as I spotted a bullet slice through the night air and hit the sniper in the tree, causing him to slump against the trunk, but not fall. “I will be there.” I whispered, ending the conversation and turning to the door, which was already open. Jacob stood there, his leg up off the ground, bent at the knee. “Why did someone just shoot the tree outside my house?” “Squirrel.” I answered simply with a small grin.

Chapter Four –
- Spoiler:
“I can’t believe she shot my sniper!” Ethan whined, stomping up and down a length of the wall. Dan snorted, “Temper tantrum, much?” Ethan whirled around and glared at Danny before just whipping out his gun and pointing it to the boy’s head. “Dude, whoa, it was a joke,” Dan muttered, looking at Lauren, who was sitting in a small chair while the giggling red-head helped her patch up her arm. Lauren looked murderous, but she wasn’t saying anything, because if she did they wouldn’t patch her wound, which would be very bad for her heath. Victoria, the red-haired girl, looked up at Ethan with wide and not-so innocent eyes, “Baby, you can’t shoot the prisoners, remember?” She almost mewed, it was high-pitched like always, and Victoria even added a little giggle at the end, like it was funny. Ethan snarled at her but put the gun away and kept pacing, before whining again, “But she shot himmm, and he was expensivveeee….” He pouted and ran a hand through his hair, “Should I shoot one of them to make it even?” Ethan held his gun in one hand lazily as he looked at Victoria for guidance before turning and cocking it at Jay, “He’s important to her, isn’t he? And he’s rich, so, it’d be killing two birds with one stone.” “Do it,” Jay dared, raising an eyebrow, “Do it, and you know Rebecca won’t hesitate to but a bullet through your heart as soon as she sees you.” Alley glared at everyone, while Anna looked at the lock on the door, trying to figure out what in the room would make it open, while they were all tied to chairs. “No one is getting shot, in this room.” Alley growled, “Jay is right Ethan, if she finds out you killed him, then she’s not going to be happy, and any deal you wanted to make will fall through.” “Fine,” Ethan muttered, pulling Victoria up from her crouched position by Lauren and stomping out the door, pulling her behind him, “then I’m going to meet her!” Lauren winced after the door slammed shut and looked down at her arm, “She smells like every different perfume that you can buy.” She gagged, sniffing the air around her, “It’s so… Girly.” Lauren shuttered looking at Dan, “You obviously aren’t that smart, back-talking to your Hostage keeper-person.” “Hostage keeper-person?” Danny chuckled, “You mean a Captor?” She glared at him, “I’VE JUST BEEN SHOT AND YOU’RE TRYING TO CORRECT ME?" “N-No, Lauren.” Dan stuttered, looking away from her death glare. Ben laughed quietly while Anna gasped and held up a hand for her friends to be quiet. Dan whirled around and looked quickly around the room, “WHAT IS IT? IS THERE… BACON?” Anna glared at him and growled, “Shut up and hold on, you idiot.” Dan pouted, muttering something under his breath while Anna paled, “I can hear Ethan and Victoria through the door.” “What are they saying?” Ben questioned in a hushed whisper. She bit her lip, “If Rebecca doesn’t quit the agency Ethan is going to put us all in a bomb shelter and then kill us all, even her. He’s talking about the Russian people wanting to take over the American Government." The entire group was quiet sitting in their small circle, tied to chairs like they were when Rebecca’s grandfather had wanted to kill them. “How did he even contact her?” Jay whispered. Of course, as soon as they had all been captured by Victoria and Ethan, He had set them down and told them his grand plan, of contacting Rebecca and explained that he was going to meet her at some diner. “Her necklace,” Anna muttered, “Wait, Victoria is saying something…” She paused before starting to repeat what the red-haired girl was saying, word-for-word, and in a high-pitched giggly voice, “‘… Ethan, honey, don’t worry about Rebecca not stepping down! We have the bomb ready to detonate as soon as she says no and the shelter will keep bombs out, or in. You know it’s fool-proof, and the agencies will be in so much confusion, that it will be impossible for them to anticipate an attack.’” Anna giggled at the end, before continuing in a deeper voice, “Vicky, you don’t know the IAgents, they’re smarter than they seem. She’ll figure it out, she’ll live. We need a new plan.” “TRUST ME.” Anna hissed in a high-pitched voice, “This was MY idea, and we’re following through with it! Now go meet her and act like you’re the leader! Leave the planning to the smart one!” She growled, “You know that I would never lie to you Ethan, we’re a team, now please, listen to me.” Her voice was softer, the girlish tint to it accented at the end with another small giggle. Lauren glared, “That girlish freak is the brains of this thing? I’m going to kill her, so painfully and so torturous that I’ll be arrested as soon as I get out!” Anna held up another finger, “‘Ethan…’” She whispered in the high-pitched voice again, “‘You trust me don’t you?’” “Yes.” She replied, acting like Ethan with a deeper voice, “‘I do… It’s just-’” Anna acted like she had been cut off before continuing in Victoria’s girlish smooth voice, “‘Hush, Baby, this will work. If you trust me, then you know it will. I don’t want to live in constant fear, thinking they are going to come after us! We need to strike her while she’s down. I know together they are more powerful than anything we could ever face, but we can do it. I know. I trust you…’” Anna ended, blinking before the entire group heard footsteps fading away outside of the door. “That was insanely creepy, how did you match your voice so well to theirs?” Dan asked, shuttering. Anna shook her head, “I don’t know.” Alley and Ben exchanged a look before Anna stated, “I do know that this is going to end very badly, I can sense it.”
Chapter Five –
- Spoiler:
I couldn’t believe I was doing this. It was insane, I was insane. This was beyond dangerous, I only had a knife strapped to my ankle and my gun hidden in my coat, sitting in some local diner in New Jersey, drinking bad coffee and waiting for Ethan to walk through the door. Glancing down at the cracked mug the coffee was in, I stirred it with my finger before the seat in front of me moved back and someone sat down. “You know, this is really dangerous.” “Thank you, Captain Obvious.” I muttered, looking up at the girl. I didn’t even crack a smile when I saw her changed appearance. Last time I had seen Blake Olsen, she was nine, and had long bleach blonde hair with bright electric blue eyes and had the cutest dimples in the world for a little kid. Of course, I couldn’t say much, because she was only two years younger than me. Now, her eyes were a fierce blue, and her hair was a darker shade of blonde, almost gold, and had blue streaks throughout that matched her eyes. Her hair was choppy and in a blunt cut that landed around her chin, accentuating her long jaw-line. She was dressed in a bright neon orange shirt and had a cinnamon colored trench-coat on overtop of it. I could barely see the bell-bottomed dark-wash jeans she was wearing from my position, but her brown boots shone, and kind of looked like a pirate’s. “You’re welcome, General Sarcastic.” She replied airily, looking at me with a look that explained everything. “Is it your job to just randomly show up whenever I’m about to do something stupid?” I questioned, looking at Blake, or Blank, on RPC. Yes, she was Blankfeather, and yes, her name was Blake, like a guy, yet it fit her natural tom-boyish demeanor. You see, Blake always seemed to show up, whenever I was about to make a really bad decision. The first time, was a couple of days after we had met. I was seven, and hanging out with my Dad before he went on a mission, and he had disappeared into the next room to take a call. Blake and her own father (an agent too) were over, and I was debating on whether or not to spy on my father. ‘That’s not a good idea,’ A small voice stated, while Blake ripped off the Barbie doll’s head in her hand, ‘They’re special, they’ll catch you.’ I could still picture her long white blonde hair and serious look in her blue eyes. These little moments continued throughout our lives, until the day after my eleventh birthday. I knew about my father’s job by then, and very aware of the almost double-life he led. Blake and I were in my room while her father and mine were downstairs, discussing a mission they were going on in a month, and I had my tools out and was listening to their conversation through the floor. Blake was sitting on my bed, a book in her hands, but not reading. ‘There are only so many times I can tell you that you have some pretty dumb ideas, Rebecca. This might be the last.’ She mumbled, looking at me from the bed. ‘What are you talking about Blake?’ I questioned, moving from the floor to look at her, ‘You aren’t moving are you?’ She shook her head, ‘No, My dad’s leaving the business. He doesn’t want me to be any more corrupt. We’re going into hiding.’ ‘That’s basically like you’re moving!’ I shouted, standing up and glaring at her, ‘You can’t leave me! You’re the only one that understands!’ ‘Man up, Rebecca, and quit always thinking about yourself. The world doesn’t revolve around you and your problems. I’m leaving, to train without my Dad before he relocates us. You won’t hear from me again, after this, so I’m leaving you with these words.’ She paused, ‘Every time you do something stupid, or idiotic, think of me, because I know that you will never learn.’ “You can’t just sit here and wait for him, Rebecca.” Blake stated, picking up a menu and glancing at it, “You know what his over-all plan is, and besides, you are supposed to be in a protection detail for Jake, this isn’t exactly part of the job description.” I looked at her and shook my head, “How do you even know these things? This is classified stuff, Blake, and you’re what, twelve?” She laughed, “Rebecca, I might be twelve, but think about it; my Dad has been in this business since his father has been in this business, and so on, and so forth. It’s in my blood, the government isn’t going to just stop the line because my Dad had a girl, besides, you were nine when you were recruited, and now you’re fourteen, it’s not exactly a job that has a certain age group.” Blake suddenly stood up, “I just stopped by to tell you that you should’ve thought this over, but now it’s too late.” She shrugged before pushing away from the table and walking through the door. Her trench-coat fell down to her knees, and she had a hat on that covered her face. Not two moments later Ethan walked through the door and spotted me. He walked slowly, and flashed me the gun on his side before sitting down at my table with a small smile, “Rebecca, it’s lovely to see you.” “I’d say the same if the meeting was on better terms, than my friend’s situation.” I answered, tapping my fingers on the table, “So, what is it you want me to do, Ethan?” “Quit the agency, and come with me, and I might release your friends.” He commanded, laying his hands down on the table. “Will you promise to let my friends go?” I whispered. “If you cooperate, maybe.” He replied harshly, “Either come with me on your own terms, or by force.” Ethan pulled out his gun and pointed it at me under the table, “A shot to the leg won’t kill you, just hurt enough.” I gulped but nodded, “Let’s go then.”
Chapter Six –
- Spoiler:
Anna ran a hand through her hair, after fifteen minutes of wiggling free of her stupid bonds. She bent down and ripped off the ones around her ankles before helping Dan. Between the both of them, everyone was standing up within five minutes, except for Lauren, who had gritted her teeth in pain. “Stupid arm. I’m going to kill that girlish freak.” “You said that already.” Ben muttered, glaring at her, “We’re all angry, don’t think we’re letting you do what we all want to.” Jay snorted and rubbed his wrists before Alley suddenly held up a finger and walked over to the door. She pressed her ear to it and paled. Her voice shook as she kept her ear pressed to the door and whispered, “It’s too late… She’s here already… Ethan has her.” Dan started to say something, but Alley turned and gave her friends a tear-filled look, “She’s quitting the agency and going with Ethan so he’ll let us go… They’re on their way to some room now. It’s something that they were both talking about. She sounds defeated.” Jay pushed past Alley and grabbed one of the chairs they had sat in. Smashing it onto the ground, he grabbed a broken leg and glared at everyone, “This isn’t a time to give up. We didn’t give up when we were all kidnapped by her grandfather, and we certainly aren’t giving up now. Now get yourself something hard and heavy, and get ready to knock some people out.” Danny chuckled evilly before turning around and picking up the gun Victoria had left lying in the room. For as bright as she had said she was, Danny thought she was an annoying little idiot that secretly didn’t like bacon. And to him, anyone that didn’t like bacon was crazy. Ben took another section of the chair. It was a desk chair with rollers on the bottom that Jay had broken, so Ben took the lever on the bottom that made it rise up, or sink down, depending on what height you wanted it to be. Alley had experience with these break outs, so she stole a small rusty pipe that was lying in the corner, while Lauren brandished a chair leg in her good hand. Anna took one look at her friends before picking up one of the metal folding chairs and slamming it against one of the walls. A bang sounded through the room as she ripped a piece of the metal apart from the chair and held the warped and sharp section of it. “I’m ready.” She said softy with a grin. Dan smirked while Ben slowly opened the door and peered out. “Coast is clear, people, let’s get out of here.” “I’m busting a couple of heads before we leave.” Lauren hissed, “There is no way we’re getting out of here without some pain to the baddies.” Jay rolled his eyes, “I’m not even going to comment on the fact you just called them ‘baddies’.” Lauren glared at him, “You just did.” Alley chuckled, “I think he’s aware of that, Vix.” “No comment,” Lauren growled, pushing past Ben and going out into the hallway. Anna frowned while Dan laughed. “Perfect,” Alley commented, “Let the injured person of our party go out first. You all are so smart.” Ben chuckled moving past his friends and stepping in front of Lauren, who was trying to juggle her messed up arm, and make sure she had a good grip on her chair leg so she could swing it as soon as there was a sign of danger. None of them expected to Rebecca to round the corner, talking to Ethan. Luckily the boy was too distracted talking about his ‘grand plan’ to notice the frozen forms of the girl’s friends. She motioned for them to get back into the room angrily and mouthed, ‘I have this! GO.’ Dan made a motion to force Jay back into the room, but the dark brown haired boy was already rushing forward with his own chair leg and brought it down over-top of Ethan’s head. The other boy crumpled to the floor, knocked out, while Jay glared at Rebecca, “If you ever run off like that, I will make an official Stampy and then BURN IT.” She looked up at him and shook her head, “I had this covered, Jay. You didn’t have to knock him out.” “Uh, yes he did.” Lauren muttered, walking over to Ethan and then kicking him in the side, “That’s for your stupid girl-friend shooting me,” She backed up and then kicked him again and harder, so hard that they could all hear something break, “That was for kidnapping me and my friends.” Alley and Anna both came over to Rebecca and hugged her, “Where have you been?” Anna hissed, looking at her furiously. The older girl actually shrunk back in terror, Anna was scary when she was mad. “She’s been with Jacob Adams.” A giggling voice stated, coming down the opposite end of the hall. Victoria dragged Jacob by the shirt around the corner and smirked, “You really shouldn’t abandon your protection detail, Runa.” Rebecca’s eyes literally started to flame, she became so angry. Jacob tried to get away from Victoria’s grip, but she wasn’t letting go. He had a perfect view of the guards that had blocked the opposite end of the hallway. All Jake had wanted was to see where Rebecca had disappeared too, and now look what had happened. Son of the President? He always knew he was going to get killed pretty quickly. Ethan started to stir on the floor and groaned out in pain. “Why do my ribs hurt…” He moaned, while two guards helped him up. Rebecca glared at Victoria, “Who are you?” Victoria giggled, brushing back her red hair from her eyes, “I’m your worst night-mare, you could think of me as an evil Ginny.” “Or a snail with a pitch-fork,” Jay whispered, brandishing his chair leg while Danny, Ben, Anna, Lauren, and Alley all laughed. Rebecca wasn’t amused as she grabbed the gun from Dan’s hand and marched forward, cocking it to the side. “Drop Jake or I drop you, Vicky.” She growled. “Ethan,” Victoria whined, “She’s threatening me…” “GUARDS!” Ethan shouted, while they all scattered. When the small fights ended, each of the IAgents was being held by two buff guards, except for Lauren, who was pinned to the wall by four, and Jay who had to be restrained by five. Rebecca was special, she didn’t have anyone holding her back, her gun had just been knocked from her hands. Ethan stalked forward, holding his side, “Now listen to me,” He spat, slapping her across the face and glaring, “Threaten my girlfriend again, and I will kill all of your friends, painfully and torturously while you watch. Go along with my plan, and you all get killed at the same time. Pick now.” He growled, giving the final choices.
Chapter Seven –
- Spoiler:
I was so mad. “Dan, if you sing one more line from that stupid Sherlock Holmes movie, I will shoot you.” “It’s not from the movie, you dolt, it’s from the old show.” Dan stated, still humming along to the theme music. “Is that the one with the rats?” Jay asked, raising an eyebrow, “The one you showed us in the chatbox?” Dan stopped humming for a moment before saying, “Yes, yes it is.” You want to know what happened after Ethan slapped me? I shot him. … Well, I wish I had shot him. I wish I had, had a gun so I could blow his head off, but no. The idiot grabbed me and all my friends, shoved us in a room and tied us all up. The room literally had nothing in it except for chairs that we were tied too, and it was impossible to pull an Alley and flip them over our backs to smash them on the floor, because they were drilled to the floor. Little Victoria had just thought of everything. How did I know that Victoria was the one that had planned this entire thing? Oh, Anna had cheerfully informed me of what she had heard Victoria and Ethan talking about after I had come with him to the building. I wanted to kill her. So, so much. Lauren sighed, wincing as she shifted in her seat and tried to get her arm in a more comfortable position. If we didn’t get out and get her to a hospital soon bad things would happen. I could see the spot where the bullet was still in her arm, and how badly Victoria had wrapped it. It was going to get infected in these awful conditions, but I couldn’t think of anything that would help us get out. Anna gave her a sympathetic look before she exchanged a glance with Ben and Alley. Was something going on here that I didn’t know about. “Why are you guys looking at each other like that?” I muttered, looking from Ben to Alley to Anna, “What do you guys know?” “You know my methods, Watson.” Dan stated, still humming while grinning. I wanted to strange him. This was seriously getting old. “Forget about their looks, Rebecca. How are we supposed to get out of here?” Jay muttered, glaring at the door. I paled, thinking of what Anna had told me about the bomb, “There is no way of flipping the chairs over and getting out that way, no one has anything on them because they searched us… The only thing I can think of is trying to get out when Ethan or Victoria is in here, but that’s crazy.” “How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?” Danny answered, looking at all of us, “Listen to me when I quote something, for once. Holmes was right. That isn’t impossible.” He looked at me, “When Ethan comes in the next time, you are going to pretend to follow along with his grand plan, when he lets you out; you have to make sure that you earn his trust before helping us get out of here.” I looked at him and then frowned, “Why does it have to be me?” “Because,” Dan snapped, finally loosing it, “Ethan and Victoria have Subs, and you were assigned to protect him. Imagine what’s going to happen to him, Rebecca. He’s the President’s son. You have to do it, Ethan only trusts you.” I glared at him, “I don’t want to do it! I don’t want the responsibility!” “Too bad.” He growled, “Now shut up and plan what you’re going to say to the dweeb when he comes back in here with his freaky girlfriend.” The door opened then and Victoria glided in with Ethan trailing behind her. “Hello IAgents.” She stated airily, leaning against the wall, “I hope you are as uncomfortable as possible.” “You’re gonna be uncomfortable when I shove my foot up your-” “LAUREN!” Anna shouted, glaring at her friend from the side, “That is not appropriate.” Lauren gave Victoria a fierce look before hissing at Anna, “She shot me, Anna. SHOT. ME. She deserves to DIE.” Victoria ignored the two girls and looked at me with a raised eyebrow and a smirk, “What’s wrong, Randall? Can’t get your way out of this one because you don’t have family ties to it?” I looked at her evenly, before turning to look at Ethan with wide eyes, “Please let me go… I’ll do anything. Just let me have some food.” For extra measure, I made my eyes grow bigger and hazy out before muttering, “I smell hamburgers…” “Ethan.” Victoria snapped, “Let her go and we’re done for.” He stepped forward and looked at me then Victoria before untying me, “Sorry Vicky, but I trust her. She’ll do anything for her own gain.” I took the low blow in stride while making a point to glare at all my friends. “Yeah, Vicky, I will do anything for my own gain, so buzz off.” I growled, stalking out of the room beside Ethan. I heard her shout something before the door slammed behind us and I was thrown against a wall. Victoria’s head was inches away from my own as her hand pinned me by my neck to the wall. “Call me that again, and I will kill you, you little suck-up.” She hissed, glaring at me. “I won’t hesitate to rip your head off.” “Who are you?” I hissed back, while Ethan watched from the end of the hall. She smirked, “I told you. Consider me an evil Ginny.” “No.” I snapped, “Who are you really?” “Victoria Peterson is my real name. And that’s all you need to know, because I won’t let you get far enough to look up my file in your little CIA web system, or should I say, RPC? SomeoneSpecial.” She growled, shoving me into the wall again, and cutting off my breath. There was one last thing I managed to gasp out, “How do you know that?” She grimaced and let me go. I fell to the floor, coughing and watching her leave before she turned the corner and called over her shoulder, “That is of no concern to you.”

Chapter Eight –
- Spoiler:
“I promise she is the biggest idiot I have ever met.” Blake Olsen growled, walking along the hallway of the main CIA building. Hanna James and George Harrison both glanced at her random outburst but didn’t say anything as they showed her the weapon’s room. “Why did you even send her on the mission, James? Good grief, did you want them all to get kidnapped?” Blake glared at the older woman, “You’d think you would have a brain." Harrison and James both pursed their lips and glared at the young girl, but left her in the room alone. If there was one thing the two of them knew, it was not to mess with the Olsen family. Blake and her father, not to mention her grandfather and her uncle, were all special agents, higher up in rank than the both of them combined. Blake was special, and she knew it. Picking up a small pistol, the twelve year old strapped it to her side and walked out of the second door to the room. The cell phone on her side started to vibrate, so she picked it up and answered, “Daddy?” “Hey Blake!” Her father answered, “You about to leave?” “Yeah,” The blonde haired girl answered, finding her way to the Automobile center and looking around for her personalized bike. This Bike had been a present from her father and Uncle for her tenth birthday, and was a bright neon blue bike that had a built-in GPS, tracker, and more weapons that a girl of ten would need. It also had a horn. He father laughed at her vague answers, “I’m glad I caught you then. Your Uncle and I found some dirt on that Victoria girl. Her name is Victoria Peterson, and she’s fifteen. She had an account on that website you like so much until the Moderator at the time, Alley, locked it down.” “What was the account name?” Blake whispered, freezing while she stared at her reflection in the bike. “Uh… There were two accounts, first one was Alweinfang and the second was VoldemortFan.” Blake’s Father stated, “Do you recognize the-” His question was cut off by his daughter’s shriek. “ALWEINFANG WAS A FREAKING GIRL?!” The few people that were in the Garage glanced at the young girl like she was crazy as she jumped onto the bike and shut her phone on her father before racing out of the garage door and down the street. The main office of the CIA was in Washington D.C., but her bike was equipped with a motor, so it was more of a motor cycle that could double as a real bike to cover up. Blake floored it as she raced down the high-way people in the other cars staring at the girl raced to go save her idiotic friends. - “I’M SO LONLEY, OH SO LONLEY, CAN’T FIND NOBODY TO CALL MY OWNNNNNNN…” Dan sung at the top of his lungs while Victoria glared at him from the other side of the interrogation table. She slammed her hands down on the table, “Answer the question, Mattson!” “It’s McGavok.” Dan stated, before starting up a different song. Victoria shook her head at him, getting a confused look on her face, “No, it isn’t!” Danny pursed his lips at her, “Is there a point to this interrogation? Do I need to get a lawyer?” “YOU ARE KIDNAPPED, I AM NOT GIVING YOU A LAWYER!” Victoria shouted at him. He smirked and cocked his head to the side like a dog, “Do I annoy you?” “YES! How does Rebecca put up with you?!” “SHE LOVES MEEEEEEEE.” Dan sung grinning, “SO DOES BEN AND ALLEY AND LAUREN AND ANNA AND JAY. THEY ALL LOOOOVVVEEEE MEEEE.” “You are so loud and obnoxious!” Victoria yelled, sitting down and rubbing her head. He smiled, “Thank ya’, you are so evil and mean.” Victoria glared at him, and pursed her lips before Dan randomly burst out in a childish voice, “"Hey daddy, tell me why the clown is crying.” She gave him a strange look before he continued in a deeper voice, “Well son he's got the task of cheering up the ill and dying. On top of that everybody thinks that he's insane. Can't fathom why he'd wanna ease their pain.” “Where do you come up with these things?!” Victoria shouted, before getting up and storming out of the room. Dan laughed triumphantly and grinned at the mirror in front of him before waving. “Hi REBECCA! OH, AND ETHAN, I HATE YOUR GUTS.” He nodded rapidly with an insane grin on his face, knowing that they both were standing in there watching the interview. Ethan glanced at the brown haired girl beside him and raised an eyebrow, “Is he truly insane?” “I’m pretty sure the Doctor confirmed it for his mental check-up.” Rebecca stated, shaking her head, “He’s horrible to put up with.” “Which is why you should have always been on my side.” Ethan stated with a smile, throwing an arm over her shoulder. She tried not to flinch away, wishing that she could skip the disgusting parts and go straight to the parts where she broke Ethan’s head in half and got her friends out of here. When he moved into closer to her, she finally flinched away, making it seem legit because Victoria had burst open the door and stomped inside. “Ethan… He’s crazy… Can’t you take care of him?” She pouted coming over to him and whispering something in his ear. Rebecca gagged to herself, but looked at the both of them, “Leave it to me.” She pursed her lips and raised her eyebrows, challenging either of them to say no. When there were no protests, the brunette walked out of the room and into the conference room. Dan looked at her and smirked while she was blocking him from the mirror before glaring. “What are you doing in here, you traitor?” Dan growled, playing along until Rebecca could make sure Ethan and Victoria had left the opposite room. Rebecca heard the door to the other room shut before she looked at the mirror and stated loudly, “You know why, Daniel.” “I THINK IT’S TIME FOR A SONG.” He shouted, before singing, “THIS IS A SONG THAT NEVER ENDS, IT GOES ON AND ON MY FRIEND. SOME PEOPLE STARTED SINGING IT, NOT KNOWING WHAT IT WAS AND THEY’LL CONTINUE IT FOREVER JUST BECAUSE THIS IS A SONG THAT NEVER ENDS, IT GOES ON AND ON MY FRIEND…” And he did continue, until his voice became hoarse. Rebecca smiled the entire time; she could always count on Socky to be the most annoying person in the world.
Chapter Nine –
- Spoiler:
It had been two hours since Dan had been carted out of the interrogation room, still singing the song that never ends. I was humming it quietly to myself, chuckling as Ethan and Victoria brought in the last person I was supposed to talk too. Anna. They left her sitting in the chair directly across from me and I heard them walk down the hallway, “They don’t watch the interrogations.” I stated, idly, looking at her with a frown, “How’s Lauren?” “In pain,” Anna grimaced, “Dan came back screaming song lyrics, but shut up as soon as the guards and the evil couple left. He told us what happened. Do you have a plan yet?” I shook my head rubbing my temple as Anna looked at me. “No, nothing; I can’t figure out how to get us all out of here without one of us getting killed. Ethan and Victoria have the place locked down, no; Victoria has the place locked down. She doesn’t trust me, and rightly so.” I muttered, looking at my friend; then asked, “How’s everyone else?” Anna sighed, “Jay has major rope burns, Alley’s going crazy, Lauren threatens to kill anyone that gets close, Ben has given up all hope, and Jake doesn’t think we’ll ever be saved…” “And you?” I questioned, looking at the younger girl sympathetically, “Are you alright?” She shrugged, “I-I… I don’t really know…I mean, I think we can all get out… But it’s one of those things, I’m just not sure of… And usually I know… The probabilities, the exact equation to get us out of tight situations, but…” She seemed really freaked out that her brains weren’t going to be the thing to get us out of Ethan and Russia’s hold. I patted her arm, giving her a look, “We can get out of this, Anna. Don’t worry. I’ll do anything to help us get out. You know that.” She nodded, wiping a stray tear from the corner of her eye and taking a shaky breath, “I know I trust you… Everyone else does too, well except for our two Debby Downers, Ben and Jake.” I waved a hand, “Eh, they’ve always been Debby Downers.” We both laughed as she smiled at me, a bright spot in our gloomy future. I didn’t know how we were going to get out of here, but I was telling the truth, when I said that I would do anything. Well, anything within a couple of conditions. Like, I wasn’t killing anyone unless it was Ethan or Victoria, but I kind of wanted to tie Victoria down and let Lauren kill her. That would be very entertaining. The door opened as Anna wiped her eyes again and two guards came in with Ethan, it looked pretty convincing as she burst into tears and got carried off while shouting, “TRAITOR!” Ethan came over to me and offered a hand to help me up from my chair, but I looked at it and then got up on my own. “I have two legs,” I stated, raising an eyebrow at him, “I can get up by myself, Ethan Cook.” “I know that-” He started to say but Victoria sauntered into the room and gave me a faux sweet smile. “Ah, Rebecca…” She giggled, blinking her eyes at me, “How did the interviews go? I’ll assume they were all just heart-broken to learn that you were on our side now.” She grimaced, “I’m sure…” Victoria paused, “What’s his name? Jay? Was devastated to learn his best friend was evil at heart.” I had to bite my tongue to keep from strangling her and just grimaced back, “Yes, they were all very sad with my decision.” Ethan glanced at me and then motioned to the door, “I wanted to go over the plan with you both.” He stated as our trio walked down the hall. I felt sick to my stomach when I passed the door to my friends and went into a small office. Ethan sat down in a chair and passed me a piece of paper while Victoria leaned over his shoulder and read his paper. “So, my plan is, that we plant a bomb in the head-quarters, But we only do this after we kill a couple agents. You know how Harrison and James get when their agents die, it’s chaos, which gives us the perfect time to blow up the head-quarters. When that’s destroyed, we’ll get on the helicopter and fly back to our own head-quarters, that way you can meet the boss.” He smiled at me, and I thought I was going to puke. Victoria looked from Ethan to me, “We aren’t taking her back with us!” She shouted, “She’s part of them! She’s going to give us up to the U.S. after we get finished! She’s been here this entire time! SHE KNOWS EVERYTHING, ETHAN!” Victoria shrieked, glaring at me before coming around from the back of the desk, “You can’t come with us! You’re going to die with all your little friends!” “We had a deal!” I shouted back, “You don’t kill them, and I stay with you! You have my word!” I growled, giving her a fierce look, and then glancing at Ethan, “You can’t seriously be following her orders, Ethan! You’ve followed people’s orders your entire life! Think for yourself! Make your own decisions!” He gave me a hard look, like he was debating what I said. This meant that my reverse mind-control thingie was working. I didn’t pay attention to technical things as long as I was causing mayhem. “You don’t trust her,” Victoria growled, looking at Ethan, “You can’t trust her. Remember all the times she’s made you mad, Ethan, channel those feelings. She’s not worth it.” I snorted, “Excuse me? I’m plenty worth it, Honey, have you seen the way I work?” I gave her a vain grin and flipped my hair, “Besides, everyone loves Brunettes. Blondes might have more fun, but at least Brunettes remember. And Red heads might be rare, but at least we don’t look like freaks.” She pursed her lips at me, looking like she wanted to just me, but Ethan stood up, “No… Rebecca is going with us, Vicky. It’s decided, I trust her.” In the words of all of my friends: WIN. VICTORIA WAS JUST PWNED.
Chapter Ten –
- Spoiler:
“… This is a song that never ends… It goes on and on my friend…” Dan wheezed, having sung the same song for the past three hours. Lauren wanted to claw at her ears, but her hands were tied and her arm hurt. Ben had just slumped down in his chair and decided it would be better to be dead than have to be subjected to this kind of torture. Jake had never been more annoyed in his life, and he considered Danny to be one of his best friends, but he could be SO DARN ANNOYING. Anna just hummed a song to herself under her breath trying to get the other song out of her head. Jay was about to kill Dan if he sang one more line. Alley was having the worst time. The poor girl was freaking out, her hair was frayed and frazzled like she had run her hands through it, yet she was tied up and her eyes looked crazed as she happily muttered the lyrics to it under her breath, occasionally breaking out into other random lyrics that didn’t go with the tune. She looked so stressed it made everyone else feel bad that the Admin from RPC had even been dragged into the business. Danny sighed, stopping singing, “I can’t breathe… I want water…” “But what about that picture…” Jay whispered, “The one with the kid, and he didn’t like water and it got on his face…” It was at the point where they were all delirious, talking to each other and referencing it all back to a chat that they had, had on RPC. Ben looked up, “Chowder? Is that it?” “No…” Dan wheezed, coughing, “It was…” “IT DOESN’T MATTER.” Alley stated, laughing manically, “HEHEHE…. WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE….” She swayed back and forth in her chair looking at everyone, “HAS ANYONE SEEN ME BRAIN? I’VE LOST ME BRAIN!” Anna raised an eyebrow, “Does anyone else think it’s time for an intervention with Alley?” Danny nodded frantically, trying to move his chair away from the other girl, and forgetting it was nailed to the floor. Ben and Jake both nodded, while Lauren just chuckled humorlessly, “What’s the point? It’s hopeless; Rebecca’s not going to be able to save us. There are too many guards, and not enough people to help us out. We’re done for.” “LOOK WHAT HAPPENS.” Alley stated, looking at everyone, “I LEAVE FOR A MOMENT AND EVERYTHING GOES TO POT.” She paused, focusing on a dark corner as a sad expression crossed her face, “Why is the rum gone?” Alley started to sniff, like she was about to cry before an excited expression crossed her face, “I HAVE A JAR OF DIRT! GUESS WHAT’S INSIDE?” Anna sighed, “I’m worried for her mental health.” “I think we all are,” Jay muttered, looking at his Admin with scared eyes as she cocked her head to the side and gave a Cheshire Cat grin. “WE’RE ALL MAD HERE.” “You stole my quote!” Anna stated angrily, while Alley turned towards her with angry eyes. “YOU’RE LATE FOR TEA.” She tried to move forward like she was throwing a cup at Branch’s head and glared before starting to quote in a creepy voice, “'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves. Did gyre and gimble in the wabe: All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe. The Jabberwock, with eyes aflame, Jaws that bait and claws that catch, Beware the Jabberwock, my son, the frumious Bandersnatch He took his vorpal sword in hand; the vorpal blade went snicker-snack He left it dead, and with its head He went galumphing back.” Lauren stared at Alley, “We really need to get out of here, guys.” “You think?” Ben asked, cowering away from Alley, who was humming to herself again and swaying back and forth. Dan shook his head, the only way they would get out of there was if a miracle happened. And those were pretty rare in the Spy business, he and Ben knew that much, and so did Rebecca. Wishing wouldn’t help them now. - “It starts with one.” Blake stated as she pulled into a small town in New Jersey, where she was tracking Rebecca and the rest of her friends. This was it. She parked her bike at a small diner, where she had met Rebecca before and looked around, tire tracks were here, when they hadn’t been her yesterday, and there was a note on the door. ‘We are closed for the weekend.’ Was what it read; Blake’s brow furrowed as she looked around, trying to see if there were any clues at all to where her friends could be. Suddenly, Blake spotted a small scrap of green fabric and bent down to pick it up. Fingering it, the young girl looked at it, like she had seen it before, before it clicked in her head. This was a scrap from Rebecca’s shirt she was wearing when they had met. She had been taken right after Blake had left. The young girl stood back up, running a hand through her blonde hair before looking around. How was she going to find them? She didn’t have to worry for one more second though, because just then, a van pulled up and the door was kicked open. Victoria glared at Blake and ordered her guards to grab the younger girl, but Blake had seen the red-haired girl, and she knew who she was instantly. Kicking a guard in the face, Blake wrenched out of one of their holds and tried to run, leaving her bike, but someone grabbed her back and pulled her backwards before tying a rag around her mouth. Blake breathed in accidentally and coughed, starting to feel light headed. This was a rookie mistake, and the blonde girl knew that. This was what made her even madder when she started to loose consciousness. But she didn’t pass out until she heard Victoria giggle, “Hello Blankie, how’re you, Hon? I hope you aren’t still angry with me for killing your mother. You know she was just in my way, and I do hate it when that happens.”
Chapter Eleven –
- Spoiler:
I looked through the one sided mirror, trying not to break down. Blake was sitting chaired to the chair, while two guards made she didn’t try to break away or kill Victoria who was taunting her from the other side of the table and telling her the long story of how she had killed Blake’s mother. Ethan was no where to be found, probably preparing his ‘grand’ plan. Blake looked furious as she was pinned to the chair, listening to the graphic story. “… Then I shot her!” Victoria giggled at Blake, as the blonde haired girl’s eyes widened and she paled at the end of the story. I assumed she had been checked before they had taken her in, because a cell phone started to ring behind me, so I turned and saw a small box, like they have in Airports for you to put your things in while you go through the Security gate. Picking the phone up, I looked at the caller I.D. and practically passed out myself. ‘Hanna James’, was what the screen read. This was Blake’s cell phone, she had to be looking for all of us, and James was checking up on her. I flipped it open, whispering frantically, “Ms. James?” “Ms. Randall?” Hanna James shouted, “Where are you? Where are all the IAgents?” I took a quick breath, knowing that I didn’t have much time, “I went to Jake’s and was his protection for a couple hours, before Ethan called me and told me that he had gone over to the bad side. He works with the Russians now. There’s this other girl, Victoria, she’s got red hair, and they both kidnapped all of us. Blake, Dan, Ben, Jake, Jay, Anna, and Lauren are all here. I’m acting like I’m evil so we can all get out. Lauren was shot two days ago, and Blake just got kidnapped. You have to send back-up!” Suddenly, Ms. James laughed and the door opened. I whirled around, thinking it was Ethan or worse, Victoria, but she stepped in and gave me a smirk, “You aren’t very smart, Ms. Randall. And here Harrison thinks you are his top agent.” “J-James?” I stuttered, looking at the older woman, “What are you doing here?” She shook her head, “Doesn’t it all make sense, Rebecca? I’m working with Ethan and Victoria.” Hanna James hissed, pinning me to the wall in one fluid motion and snapping cuffs around my wrists, “I knew that you would answer poor, Blake’s phone, because I knew it was all a little act…” She trailed off before clearing her voice and saying in a thick Russian accent, “I’m the main operative for Russia in the States, Ms. Randall, you should’ve seen your face.” She chuckled thickly and shoved me towards two guards. I was pushed into the room with my friends, where two more chairs had been added. I looked down at the chairs that were nailed to the floor and watched all my friends stare at me, looking defeated as I was thrown in a chair and tied to it, my legs and hands bound. I hadn’t even fought, there was no use. Blake soon joined us in the room, except she had small tear-stained cheek. In my entire life, I had never seen the younger girl cry, and that made me feel even worse. Danny looked at me, before Jay stopped him from saying something and asked, “How did you get thrown in here? And who are you?” He looked at Blake with a confused glance, but the young girl didn’t even look at him, so I guess I was supposed to be the one to answer all the questions, thanks Blake. Swallowing, I looked around the room to prolong the silence and procrastinate my answering, but I couldn’t avoid it forever. “That is Blake Olsen,” I mumbled, “Or Blank on RPC, guys. She was looking for all of us when she was captured.” Pausing, I looked up at Jay before continuing, “I was captured because while Blake was in the interrogation room with Victoria, I heard a cell phone ringing. So I turned and saw Blake’s sitting in a box. The Caller ID said it was Hanna James, so I picked it up and told her everything that had happened and where we were.” I grimaced, laughing humorlessly, “And you know what? She works for the Russian government, the one that captured us. She’s been working with Ethan and Victoria this entire time, spying on the US so she could help Russia plan the bombing that they want to do on the main Intelligence Agencies.” Anna looked at me with a startled expression while Lauren glared. Jake and Ben both just shook their heads while Dan pursed his lips, “We have to get out of here and stop them!” “It’s no use!” I shouted back, “I can’t do anything, none of us can! We’re done for!” He glared at me, “Stop being Emo Rebecca!” “WHAT’S THE POINT?” Alley suddenly shouted her crazed eyes serious, “Guys, I don’t want to give up, but there is no choice, we’re never going to see our family or friends again. We’re going to die.” She stated at the end, looking sad, “But we’re going to go together, so we might as well be glad that we have each other.” Danny looked at each of us individually, lingering on Blake, who he had never seen before in his entire career at the Agency. “I can’t believe I called you guys my friends.” He snorted, “You all are a bunch of wimps. We can get out of here. We aren’t going to die! Have a bit of faith people! We’ve been through worse things, doesn’t anyone remember last year? Rebecca’s crazy grandfather? We blew the place up! We can torch this one! We can live.” He stated, but no one paid attention. I felt horrible, defeated. There was no point. Alley was right, we were going to die. And there was nothing we could do about it.

Chapter Twelve –
- Spoiler:
Hanna James, Ethan Cook, and Victoria Peterson were all in Ethan’s office. Hanna James sat in the large spinny chair though, smirking at Victoria and Ethan. The only boy in the group fell awkward, and horrible. He had been played by Rebecca and her little friends yet again. Ethan shook his head; he had always disliked the girl since she had joined the agency before him. Then Harrison had searched the globe to find Ethan, until he had stumbled across the black haired boy in a small town not two hours away from D.C. Victoria’s story was different than Ethan’s, of course. She had lived in tons of different places while growing up, but her parent’s had been one thing, assassins, for Russia. She was America born, taken by her parent’s to Russia, where her family was from, when she turned one. That was when she was introduced to the ‘family business’ so to speak. Victoria had grown up knowing only how to kill, and was trained since she was five on how to perfect it. Ms. James was more different than all of them. She, like Rebecca’s father, had grown up in a family of agents (instead of convicts), so she went into the business when she turned eighteen like her family before her, but something was missing, so Hanna James stayed in the CIA, working her way up until she was a prominent person in the agency. That was when she started selling information to Russia, eventually working for both groups, both agencies, both countries. No one had found out yet, and that was the best thing about it, because that had been over twenty years ago, and she was richer than Donald Trump. The older woman sighed and looked at the two teens, “Has the base contacted either of you yet?” She questioned, turning to gaze at the ceiling, “It’s high time we bomb the CIA and get out of the country, or something is going to happen, and I don’t want that on my butt.” Victoria rolled her eyes, “Hanna, we’re partners here, if we knew something, we would’ve contacted you.” She was lying of course; the red haired girl rarely told anyone else what information the agency had supplied her with. It was fun to watch them get in trouble when they did or said something wrong. It was just entertaining to mess with people; which was why Victoria did what she did. Ethan looked at his girlfriend and then Ms. James, “I don’t know anything either. They don’t tell me anything.” He stated with a shrug, “I’ve never gotten information from the base, that’s why I’ve relied on you two to tell me everything.” He knew that Victoria never told him half the things she knew, but Hanna James always wanted to make sure they didn’t mess up, so she was at least one person he could relatively trust. “Then we’ll go through with the original plan,” James stated, looking at the two kids, “We’ll put them all in the airtight room, and set the bomb timer. When that one goes off, it will activate the one in the CIA’s ventilation system. Then we’ll get out of the country and back across the Russian Border, we’ll be safe there, at least, until the U.S. government figured out what happened.” James looked around the room, “You do have the bomb planted right?” She looked at Victoria, knowing that the red haired girl would’ve planned everything, “Right?” Victoria nodded, “Yeah, It’s done. Built, planted, set, all we have to do is put the IAgents in the bunker, and get out of the country. Well, we’ll have to set it off first, but we can ready the helicopter, get in, and then I have a remote that we can use to set the timer. It’s set for ten minutes, in case we accidently leave something in the base, but I wasn’t planning on turning around.” She glared at Ethan, who was a bit scatter-brained in her eyes; though she still had some evil semi-squishy spot for him, in her black-hole of a heart. Ethan looked back at her and then sighed, “Then I guess we better alert the guards that they have thirty minutes to get out of the building and help us move the prisoners into the area. Then, like you both said, we’ll set off the bomb and get out of here.” He gulped, feeling bad; it was almost to the point where he didn’t care about being evil anymore. He was tired of the charade he put on for Rebecca and all her friends. He didn’t hate them that much, but he had to blow them up if he wanted to not got o jail and be employed by the Russian Government/Mafia, or whoever he was working with now. Hanna James looked around the small office for the last time, glancing at the window before standing up from the spinny chair and walking towards the door, her heels clacking on the floor like she was some high-up Prima Donna. “I do hope you both are following me, because it would be absolutely dreadful to leave you both and accidently blow you both up.” “Maybe she doesn’t like me, as much as I thought,” Ethan muttered to himself, as Victoria snuggled up against him, giggling like a maniac and following Ms. James down the corridor. The older woman snapped her fingers at the two guards in front of the IAgents holding room and spoke something to them before she opened the door and made her grand and final entrance in the IAgents lives. This was the end.
Chapter Thirteen –
- Spoiler:
We were all quietly talking when the door suddenly burst open and I jumped in my seat. Blake beside me glared at Hanna James as she made her way through the door and grinned, “Hello IAgents! I’m so mad that I have the misfortune of seeing you before you all die! Guards!” I looked at her like she was insane as multiple guards came in quickly and untied each of us before holding us down and dragging us out of the door and down the hall. “Then why even come?” Dan muttered, looking around the hall, “Oh, I meant to ask. As a last wish, can I have bacon before I die?" Hanna James laughed lightly, with a small smirk before answering Dan’s question. “Oh, you’ll get bacon, Dan…” She went into this evil tirade of laughter that is to ghastly in nature to describe to you in this children’s story. When she finally stopped, Ben and Dan exchanged a look before Dan pointed at his ear and made a crazy sign over it. “… And you’re Russian?” Jay asked suddenly, “Crazy, evil, and Russian…? Wow, this is quite possibly the worst cliché I’ve ever seen.” Hanna James glared at him before mocking in a high nasally voice, “… And you’re rich? Snotty, rude, and rich? Wow, this is quite possibly the worst cliché I’ve ever seen.” Lauren glared at her, “I want you DEAD.” She fought the guards holding her down while Hanna James rolled her eyes. All the while I was being held down by three guards. Suddenly we all stopped in front of a metal door that looked like it belonged in a Military Base. She opened it and the guards shoved us all inside. I fell into the room, and barely caught myself before spinning around and watching Hanna James shut the door. “Where are we?” I whispered looking around the metal room and then jumping back, “WHY IS THERE A PIG IN THE ROOM?” Dan grinned, “PORKERS!” He ran forward, “BACON!” Ben grabbed him before the other boy could try and eat the poor startled pig. Lauren sat down on the floor and rolled over on her side while Anna sat beside her. Alley was already sitting beside the pig, scratching behind its ears and rocking back and forth. Jay came over to me and gave me a small smile. “I guess Ms. James was right, Dan will get his bacon.” He laughed idly. I shook my head, “Ms. James,” I snorted, “She doesn’t deserve that kind of respect, Jay. Who knows what’s wrong with the pig. It might have mad Pig disease.” “Mad Pig Disease?” Anna asked, looking up at me, “That’s not even real!” I glared at her and pouted, “No one answered my question. Why is there a pig in here?” “Piggly-Wiggly, Pigums, PIGGY, Pork, Bacon, Pie, People. I’m listing things that start with a ‘P’!” Alley stated happily, rocking back and forth but then she froze, “Why is a Raven like a Writing Desk?” Lauren groaned, rolling over and lying on the floor, “This is horrible-” Suddenly she froze, “Does anyone else hear ticking?” She sat straight up and crawled over near the pig, who looked sick while Alley scratched behind it’s ears. Lauren pressed her head against the Pig’s stomach and cursed under her breath. “There. Is. A. Bomb. Inside. Of. The. Pig.” “No freaking way.” I growled, coming over and leaned down to listen. In fact, there was a ticking sound coming from inside the pig, and I was pretty sure it wasn’t the same ticking like the Crocodile from Peter Pan. “This is her idea of death?” I looked at the pig before looking at all of my friends. “We have to kill it.” Dan looked at me horrified, “NOT PORKERS.” The pig squealed and raced around the room. Jay grabbed it and held it down, “Don’t startle it, people, the bomb might go off!” Anna just sat on the ground frozen in shock. I looked around for Blake and Jacob and saw them both sitting in one of the corners. “Blake, do you have anything with you that can help?” I asked, going over to her. She slowly looked up at me, while Jake just sat there. “No. They took everything.” I glared at her, “Blake, that hasn’t stopped you before. How many times have you saved me without anything to go on?” I snapped, turning and looking at everyone, “We can all get out of here if we just think for a few minutes. I mean, it’s a pig, if all else fails, we kick it until it dies and then disable the bomb.” Dan snuggled the pig to his chest, “You aren’t killing Mr. Piggums Bacon-Miser Porkbutt.” Ben groaned, “Dan, seriously, do you want to die?” He paused, looking up like he was thinking about it before shaking his head, “Yeah, if Mr. Piggums Bacon-Miser Porkbutt gets to live.” “Why would she put it in a pig anyways?” Jake suddenly asked, taking all of our attentions away from Danny. “I mean… It’s a pig… No one cares for a pig except for maybe a farmer in Tennessee and Dan.” I glared at him but then shrugged, “I am from Tennessee, and so is Dan and Ben. Insult our state one more time and I’m giving you as an offering to the pig.” Jake flinched away from me while Jay put a hand on my shoulder, “Come on, we don’t need a mutiny on our hands right now.” “Like you wouldn’t do it too.” I answered with a small smirk. He grinned at me while Anna gagged as the Pig nudged her foot, “GET IT AWAY FROM ME… IT’S GOING TO EAT MY FACE.” She screamed, shuffling away and trying to push the pig away. Dan laughed evilly and grabbed Mr. PB-MP. “All my animals know the smell of fear!” Alley suddenly stood up and walked over to Dan before slapping him across the face, “You sir, are as mad as a Hatter.” “Gee thanks Peachy.” She slapped him again. “Do that one more time…” Alley slapped him a third and final time before sitting back down and looking at all of it and shrugging. “What? He asked for the last one… Literally.”
Chapter Fourteen –
- Spoiler:
As soon as Hanna James left the room, She passed Victoria and Ethan in the hall and snapped her long manicured fingers at them and glared, “Come on, you can make-out in the helicopter. We’ve got to set this place ablaze.” They separated in an instant and Ethan coughed while Victoria just glared back and stalked behind the older woman, mimicking her walk and making sure that she did it in the worst way possible. Ethan groaned and followed disdainfully behind, knowing that there was no way he was being left behind, but not wanting to be stuck in a helicopter with Hanna, Victoria, and a pilot that wasn’t able to speak because of a mistake that happened while he was training to be a pilot for Russia. He shuttered while he thought about it and slunk forward behind Victoria feeling shameful for letting it end this way, but he let his anger fuel his steps. You see, to Ethan, Rebecca was like one of those really annoying flies that kept coming back again and again and just wouldn’t die. Since the beginning when he started work with Harrison, He had heard of the reasons he had been hired. There had been talk of a girl, with amazing fighting skills and a background to rival James Bond’s. He had been instantly interested and started searching the database. To bad that he had found what he wanted. Weeks later, after Ethan had read and re-read Rebecca’s file, he had met her for the first time. This was when he was still a little kid and thought personal hygiene was a myth. He hated her the first time he had saw her. She was so… perfect. A suck up, always batting her eyelashes and lashing out at anyone who didn’t follow her instructions, not to mention the way she had shouted at Harrison when things didn’t go her way. Then, Ethan had met Hanna James. They had instantly started to talk, share their hatred for the girl, and she set him up with a contact from Russia. As soon as he had made the deal with Russia and been set up as a double-agent, he had met up with his contact, Victoria. When he had seen her, he knew something was up when he mentioned Rebecca’s name. Then, she told him everything about RPC, and the plan was hatched. Ethan sighed, walking outside the door to the roof and seeing all the guards fleeing the building below. In a few minutes they would set off the bomb in the CIA’s Head-Quarters and then they would get away from the US for the last time in a while, at least, until they had another assignment. He climbed up into the helicopter behind Victoria and sat down in the seat beside the red-head. Victoria grinned and sighed, “I’m glad it’s ending this way. It makes me have this cold and stabby feeling in my black hole.” Hanna James just groaned and climbed into the Passenger seat, while Ethan glanced at Victoria, “One, stabby is not a word, and two, that is just wrong." She shrugged and leaned her head on his shoulder, looking up at him with big brown eyes, “But Ethan… You have to be nice to me!” She pouted, using her highest pitched voice that drove him crazy. Ethan winced and looked at the back of the Passenger seat with dark eyes. “James, you better be pressing that button right now.” He growled, as the older woman flashed him a grin and then pressed a button on the dashboard, “It’ll go off in ten minutes, like the bomb in the building below us.” Victoria snarled, her eyes growing dark as she launched forward, “NO. You said that it would be instant! That’s what we agreed on! It needs to be instant! What if they get out?” She glared at Hanna James and wrapped her hands around the older woman’s neck, starting to strangle her, “You lying Witch!” “Victoria!” Ethan yelled, darting forward in the helicopter’s back, trying to stop the maniac red-head. The pilot had already lifted into the sky and it shook the helicopter from side to side when Ethan launched forward to stop Victoria. But the girl had already wrapped her hands around Hanna James’ neck and the older woman’s face was turning purple from the lack of oxygen. Victoria shook Ms. James and glared, before Ethan pulled her off and pinned her to the seat in the back. Hanna James gasped, clutching at her throat and feeling the spots that were red from Victoria’s fingers. She turned and looked at Victoria with red eyes, “You,” She rasped, “You little-” Ethan glared at the both of them, holding Victoria back from strangling Hanna James again. “No, you both listen to me. James, you said that it would go off automatically and you lied. Victoria, you need to calm down, James is our head agent while we’re on this mission, kill her and we’ll get killed ourselves.” He looked at Victoria, “Besides, if there is anyone you need to strangle, it’s those IAgents, but we’re too late for that, because in,” He looked at his watch, “Seven minutes they’re bar-b-que along with that stupid pig.” “Poetic,” Hanna James snarled, looking at the pilot, “Floor it, I want us out of US sky territory in less than an hour. I hope you can make it, or you’re going to be deaf too.” She pursed her lips and her jaw became taut as she touched her neck again and glared out the window fiercely.
Chapter Fifteen –
- Spoiler:
“How big do you think the bomb is?” I asked Dan, looking at the pig who was literally just sitting in Dan’s lap. It kind of freaked me out how calm the thing was around him, I mean, the boy wanted to keep the pig alive, because he wanted to cook it later for bacon… It was just wrong. Strange and wrong. He shrugged looking at it, “Well, it has to be pretty big for us to be able to hear the ticking out here…” Suddenly, Dan looked at me with contempt, “Why do you want to know?” I cleared my throat and looked at him, “… Dan… If the bomb is that big, we need to get it out of the pig and dismantle it, so we don’t die… We need to kill Mr. Piggums Bacon-Miser Porkbutt.” “NOOOOO….” Dan shouted, shuffling towards the corner and curling up in it, while hugging the pig to his chest, “NOT MR. PB-MP.” Ben glared at his friend while Jay held me back from beating Dan to a pulp and killing the stupid pig by myself. Lauren and Anna just sat against the wall, and sighed almost in unison. It was slightly freaky. Blake stood up and walked over to Dan, pushing Ben aside and leaning down. “Dan, release the pig.” He looked up at her and shrunk against the wall while letting the pig go. Turning, the young girl walked over to the pig and looked at it before saying, “We need to kill it and then I should be able to dismantle the bomb.” “Isn’t that a bit… gross?” Alley asked, looking up from her spot in the other corner, near the door. Suddenly, I heard a sound like something was dying and turned to see Dan rocking back and forth in the corner, wailing like an injured child. Alley glared at him from the side but I had already walked over to him and shoved his shoulder into the wall. “Dan!” I shouted, “Get a hold of yourself! We have to kill it, or we’re all going to die!” He looked at me and then frowned, “I hate you.” “As long as I get to kill that stupid pig.” I growled, “Now who is going to kill it?” I stopped, “Wait, I’m an idiot, hold on.” Leaning against the wall, I tapped the sole on my boot and felt it shift. Pulling the shoe off, I stuck my hand down into it and then pulled out a hunting knife. Lauren looked at me with raised eyebrows before I threw it to her. She caught it with one hand and laughed, “You scare me sometimes.” “I think she’s AWESOME!” Anna shouted with a grin. Lauren rolled her eyes and stood up before coming over to the pig. I closed my eyes, blood made me squeamish. A few seconds later, I opened them and sitting on the floor was a ticking bomb. I will spare you the ghastly details and the fact that I refused to turn around because I was almost positive there was a dead pig behind me. Blake crawled over to the bomb and cursed under her breath causing me to glare at her. “It has a timer.” Oh that wasn’t good. “It was set on ten minutes, I think, it’s counting down from five now. We have five minutes to dismantle this thing, or die trying.” Lauren handed Blake the knife trustingly while I looked at Jake, who was sitting in the corner, looking at me with contempt. Great, people were blaming me for this. Of course. Dan came over from his corner and moved me aside with one hand. I sat with my arms crossed, glaring at him, “Hey, pig-boy, that was my seat.” He raised his eyebrows at me, “Would you like to be to first to die if this bomb goes off?” “No.” I answered, moving back a little a squeaking when I felt something touch the back of my shirt. Suddenly there was laughter and Jay sat down beside me. “That was me, calm down.” I shuttered and looked at Blake, who was concentrating on making sure she didn’t cut the wrong wire. “I think she should cut the green one.” Jay muttered, nudging me. I shook my head at him, sighing, “You annoy me.” “Me annoy you?” “Yes.” “Yes?” “Shut up.” “Up shut?” “I dislike you a lot right now.” “You dislike me a lot right now? At this very moment? Second even?” Jay clarified with a grin. I glared at him and shoved his shoulder, without saying anything. Here we were possibly about to die and he was making jokes. “Come on,” He stated, smirking, “You’ve got to lighten up, we might die, sure, but at least we all met each other before.” Ben came over and sat on the other side of me with a smile, “Yeah, Jay’s right. I mean, we’ve got pretty much the entire team here!” Dan turned and looked at me, “Vix, Branch, Myself, Otter, Als, Subby, and even BLANK!” The younger girl in question jumped and glared at him before going back to snapping another wire, making Lauren flinch beside her and Anna cower behind her. Suddenly, Blake froze and grinned, “Shut up, do you guys hear that?” I listened as everyone went silent and looked at her, “Do I hear what?” She leapt up into the air and danced around, “EXACTLY! I DISMANDLED IT!” She ran straight to the door and grinned, “NO ticking! Nothing! We’re saved!” Blake did a little dance before going over to Jake and smiling, “Get up President-Boy! We’re saved! We’re not going to die!” I laughed as Anna and Lauren hugged each other and Alley tackled the door, “NOW THIS NEEDS TO OPEN.” Ben stood up and grabbed my knife up off the floor before looking at me, “Does this have ANY sentimental value to you at all?” Shaking my head, I was about to ask why before Ben went over to the door and stuck the blade into the slot where the lock was. “I’d plug your ears.” There was a metallic screech that rang through the air, before I heard something snap. “I really hope that was the lock.” I whispered, looking at the barely visible part of my knife. “Poor Slasher.” “Do I want to know why you named your knife?” Jay asked. Looking at him, I shrugged, “Not unless you want to go get me a real Stampy.”

Chapter Sixteen –
- Spoiler:
Harrison was very worried. First Rebecca had gone off the map, and then everyone else had disappeared, ending with James. Pacing the room, a couple of agents glanced at him as he practically pulled his hair out, “We have to find them! Do you know what would happen if we didn’t find them? They are under our protection!” Suddenly, he turned around and pointed at an agent who was sitting at a computer, typing up something, “YOU!” He marched over, “Do you have a lock on their position yet?” “No Sir,” The Woman stated, flinching back from him, still typing frantically. Harrison had gotten angrier and angrier as more people had disappeared, and it was putting a strain on the entire agency. There had been a complete rampage this morning, and the poor woman’s husband was one of the ones that had gotten randomly fired, though the head of all the intelligence agencies assured the both of them that he would get his job back. Though, the woman wasn’t sure, Harrison was furious, or something much worse than furious. Suddenly, the door to the room burst open and a red haired man ran in, his breath coming in short gasps, “Harrison! Harrison!” The man in question turned and raised an eyebrow at the other while he straightened up, “We’ve found a bomb in the building! It’s set to go off in six minutes! We traced it back to a remote control that someone set off while getting out of the country. It’s hooked up to another bomb that is set to go off at the same time! We have to get out of the building; the bomb squad is almost here!” Everyone stood up; following the procedures they had practiced so much all the agents could do it in their sleep. In one pin straight line, everyone filed outside quickly, right as the bomb squad came into the picture, pulling up in vans and filing out even more organized than the FBI. Harrison was boiling as a team of three squad members in suits leapt out of one van and went straight towards the doors. Entering the building, they looked at each other before walking down the hall and locating the food storage container, which was only opened three times a day by workers, the perfect place to store a bomb that would go off in ten minutes, without anyone knowing. The team stepped into the container and shut the door, one of the suited figures stepped forward and took off their face mask, breathing in the cold air, the girl smiled and then bent down while looking at the bomb, “I’d know this shotty work-man ship anywhere. When should we tell them that Hanna James is a double agent?” One of the other figures laughed and took off his helmet, “When you dismantle that bomb and there isn’t a risk that we’ll all die and end up looking like a fried grasshopper on the pavement on a hot summer day.” “I hate your Texas-isms.” The other girl stated, glaring at the lone man, “Those are the weirdest things I have ever heard someone say.” The first girl turned around, with the bomb in multiple pieces in her hand and grinned, “Done. I think that was a new record.” The other two rolled their eyes and filed out of the room, I guess being special helped. - Hanna James sat in a hard and cold metal chair in an interrogation room, glaring at the girl in front of her with fury, and not so surprisingly, her tone matched the icy room perfectly, “I hate you.” The brunette slammed her hand down on the table, her eyes showing that she was more furious than anyone had ever seen her before. “Oh, I hate you a lot more than you hate me. You and your little pawns ruined my year, you hurt my friends, and you almost killed us. I should shoot you right now, and not give a flip if I get blood on the freaking walls.” The brunette sat down in the chair opposite of Hanna James and gave her a fierce look, “Now, I want you to tell me why you did this. Why you betrayed the country.” The blonde woman stayed silent, challenging the girl silently with her eyes, “NOW!” The girl shouted, slamming her hand down on the table again, “Darnit James, you better open your mouth right now or a bullet is going through your knee-cap.” Suddenly, the blonde woman started to laugh, a high cackle that sent the Brunette’s head spinning. She hated that woman so much that she wouldn’t hesitate to shot her right now, but she needed to know, and she needed to know right now, or they would never get an answer. Hanna James chuckles died down until she was barely giggling every few minutes. “Oh,” She clicked her tongue, “I’m never telling you what happened, because you don’t deserve to know how she died.” The girl’s mouth went into a hard line, “She was a part of my family, I deserve to know, or be the one to put a bullet in between your temple.” “My, My, always talking about shooting someone,” James stated cocking her head to the side, “I always thought she made you angry, made you frustrated. I thought you didn’t like her.” The Blonde was taunting the brunette in a rage that she knew that she might not come out of alive, but it was better this way, torturous, watching the younger girl squirm under her gaze, knowing full well that if she shot her now, that she would get in trouble. A calm smile suddenly graced the Brunette’s lips as she pulled out a gun and sighed, “Ms. James, I never liked you, from the moment we met, I always thought you had something shoved up you butt, and now, I hope it’s stuck up there all eternity. Because now, I’m going to kill you for killing my sister. A life for a life is the price you have to pay.” And then, Anna pulled the trigger and the bullet shot out of the gun and hit Hanna James square in the face, right between her eyes, a straight and clean shot.
Epilogue –
Let me explain to you what happened after Ben broke the lock on the door. We all rushed out and navigated our way through the halls before bursting through the front doors and landing on the front lawn, not two seconds before the entire building imploded on it’s self. There had been a back-up bomb. We were all breathing heavily when cars flooded the lot and Harrison rushed out of one of them. He looked at us and then paled, “No.” I was confused at first, I mean, why would he be sad that we all survived? But then later, I learned that Hanna James, as a last spiteful thing to do, locked up Anna’s little sister in the building without us knowing and she had died in the back-up bomb. Anna had broken down of course, but when Harrison told us the good news, she was instantly changed. They had tracked down the helicopter, shot it out of the sky and gotten Hanna, Ethan, and Victoria into custody. We all gratefully let Lauren take Victoria’s interrogation and Anna have Hanna’s likewise. But no one wanted to talk to that slime-ball Ethan, until I decided I had a score to settle with him, so I took it. We all watched Lauren interrogate Victoria, and that ended with a broken neck and a trip to the morgue for the red-haired girl, but no one watched Ms. James interrogation for the simple fact that Anna deserved to have her all to herself. I had even given her my favorite gun, in case she needed it. She needed it. After Anna was finished with Hanna James, I took to the interrogation room, alone with only Ethan Cook as my company. Now, as I think back to it, I wish I had brought someone with me instead of what ended up happening. Let me take you back to the cold room with the hard chairs and one sided mirror. Ethan was sitting in his chair, with his hair matted, black circles under his eyes, and a hateful look in them, corrupting any possibility that they might be a bit pretty. “Ah, I see that they chose you to do the interrogation. Are your little friends in the next room, ready to come in at your beck and call?” He sneered, looking at me with a smirk with laying his hands down on the table and blinking his eyes at me. I had glared at him and just sat down in my chair, looking at him evenly. “Actually,” I stated my voice eerily calm, now that I remember, “They trust me enough to let me interrogate you alone. I don’t know why… But, they do.” He had chuckled and gave me another smirk before sighing and giving me a look that said he knew exactly what I was thinking. “I know that you want to kill me, and I know that you don’t want to give me the benefit of the doubt because of all the things I’ve done and helped do, but I don’t care. Dying right now, would be better than spending my life in jail, reminded of the fact that you and your little friends put me there.” Ethan growled in an icy tone while glaring at me after his little rant. I just gave him a raised eyebrow and sighed, “You are the biggest Drama Queen I have ever met.” “But I’m a guy.” “I could beg to differ, Mister Cry when someone takes the last chocolate pudding in the cafeteria.” “ONE TIME, Rebecca! One TIME!” Ethan wailed, looking at me with dark and angry eyes. I laughed thinking back to how many people just stared at the boy broke down about pudding in the middle of the line. I wasn’t that melodramatic on my worst days, and I could only imagine what Victoria had to do to ensure that Ethan didn’t compromise a mission because of pudding. “You know what Rebecca?” Ethan suddenly asked, and I gave him a ‘What-in-the-world-do-you-want’ look. He smirked and then pole-vaulted across the table between us, his hands unbound and around my neck in a minute. Throwing him over my back, I leapt up from my chair as he brought his hand around and crashed it into the side of my head while he tried to wrap his hands around my neck again. Anna had my gun. I was at the mercy of my hands and Ethan. He lifted me up and then threw me backwards. As I slammed into the wall, the door burst open and Dan rushed in with a gun. A Machine Gun. “Don’t you dare hurt my friend.” He hissed, shooting Ethan with the gun, twice in the chest and once to the head. I was gasping, trying to catch my breath as I watched Ethan’s body fall to the floor as Dan rushed over to me. “You cannot die, Rebecca, you are the only other Soul Stealer I authorized!” Making a sad attempt at a wheezing laugh, Dan helped me up and to the infirmary, away from Ethan forever. Now, I sat in my bedroom tapping a pencil on my thigh while I worked on my Swahili homework. The black and purple bedspread I was sitting on was rough from the couple of years I had, had it and I glanced up at the plain cream walls that were in every room in the boarding school. I was one of the lucky ones, the older ones, the ones that got a room to themselves. I was one of the IAgents, we were pretty special. Speaking of us, Ben opened the door with Jake (Who had been sworn into the agency) and motioned for me to hurry. We were going out for food again, and this time, I wasn’t going to be sent off on a mission… Hopefully. | |
