Gun: Around this time I would be sleep-kicking Remi.

recluse: I was getting tired of leading the pack. "We'll rest here. Two hours. Till dawn starts to rise."

Gun: I sat down.

-a few hours later-

Danalli 1: I woke up. It was past dawn! "Second group! Wake up! We must run to get ahead of schedule!"

Gun: I didn't sleep. "No turning back now."

Gun: I nodded, eyes heavy.

Recluse: We woke up hours before. "Halt!" I pointed. "Look." The tunnel ended....

Sage: I caught a glimpse. "The tunnel.... it's not.... it's not over.... it's melting! It ends just beyond that! Hurry we'll all drown! Aaron!" I howled. "Run!"

Aaron quickly relayed the message, and pelted after Sage.

Aeton, thought for a minute, but then spoke again. "Want to ride? You could probably sleep on the way." He offered, tipping his head the the indent where his wings joined his skeleton.

Gun: "No! I can walk for myself!" I ran ahead.

Sage: "Aaron! Hurry!"

Aaron continued after her, almost catching up in sync.

Aeton stuck his tounge out indignantly, and stayed where he was. "Fine, then!"

Gun: I miss Zen.... I thought I glared back at him

Sage: The ground cracked under us. I grabbed Aaron's scruff and pulled him aside.

Sage: I was on the left and he was on the right. Star Pack let me see! I prayed as my vision cleared. We were left behind... the pack was way ahead, coaching us on. I saw Aaron slip once. "Aaron!" He shook it off. I needed to help him! I saw the gap grow. I have never seen this long before... I mustered my strength and jumped infront of Aaron. "Grab my tail. We're gonna do something stupid." I said. I felt his teeth on my tail and prayed for my power to work. I felt the fire burn from my paws. I melted the tunnel as the rest of the pack jumped to safety. I felt the solid texture under my paws turn to water.

Sage: "Dear Star Pack let my idea work..." I whispered as water pushed Aaron and me under. I saw the water shining orange and pink under the sun rise. I saw Aaron. I mouthed his name but more water was pushed into my lungs. I felt a force under me... not what I was expecting though. I thought I was going to create an ice shard to float us to the top. But this was furry. I gasped for air as Aaron and I broke the surface. I scrabbled on land to see... Fleur... my mother.

Fleur: I threw up water. So so much. Before I rescued them I fell into the water and began to drown, but I mustered my strength and saved them. "My daughter. My alpha... become... great. My life was always meant to be short. Don't end up like me. I'm a terrible sinner. Please... don't try to find out too much. You already know. Some secrets were meant to be hidden."

Aaron collapsed onto the shore beside Sage. 'Thank the stars..." He gasped between heavy inhales. He kept his eyes closed, cowering in the ever-present darkness of his mind. His conscience screamed at him to go help Sage, but he could do nothing. I'm just a blind wolf! What do you want? Aaron cringed at his own thoughts. He heaved his weight upward, and opened his eyes. His fur brushed Sage's and his eyes turned a sky blue as he sat up beside her. The white wolf looked over to see the Alpha collapsed on the shore. "Fleur!" He barked, and left Sage's side his sight faded but he rushed to her side.

Fleur: I growled for him to stay back. "When I die, bury me here!" I coughed up more water and blood. "Here!" I mustered and tossed my necklace to Sage. It was a little purple flower.

Sage: "Mother..." I waited. No reply. "Mother?!" "Mother!"

Sage: I didn't listen to him. I just sat there with my mother. "Fleur..."

Sage: I looked at him and my vision faded. "I know... times will get harder..."

Sage: After I buried my mother I left her side and ran back to the pack, paws covered with sand. "She saved us, Aaron."

Sage: I pressed into him. "I love you too."
