"Let's.. just.. get out of here. Now." Fernclaw said quietly, backing up a few more steps.

"Oh, I'd be happy to enlighten you." Branchstar growled quietly. "Mellowheart, or Mistress, as you call her, is a traitor. She attacks JointClan regularly, just out of fun. She has no mercy, on anyone. At all. And everybody in that filthy MellowClan? Rogues, kittypets, and loners." Branchstar snarled.

"Got it," Clawflower told Fernclaw, and growled at the JointClan warriors. He whirled around and fled away from the border, but a bit slowly.

Fernclaw followed behind, keeping pace.
Branchstar just shook her head, and padded across the border. Forget this, forget the fact she was completely outnumbered, she was going to MellowClan camp and getting her kit back, and NOW.

Clawflower's ears twitched. They were following. "We have to tell Mellowstar," he said, and swerved in the direction of the camp, picking up the pace.

"Oh StarClan," Fernclaw muttered under her breath, keeping up with Clawflower. Finally they reached the camp, and Mellowstar looked confused. "What's going o-" She stopped abruptly as Branchstar entered the camp.
Fernclaw was horrified. She felt locked in place, unable to move.

Clawflower said it for Fernclaw. "It's Branchstar. She intentionally crossed the JointClan border to follow us."

Mellowstar just nodded, looking at Branchstar. "Leave. Now."
"Not without my kit." Branchstar vowed, growling.

Clawflower turned around. "Who's your kit?"

"I'm not exactly a kit anymore," Fernclaw muttered, flattening her ears.
Branchstar flicked her tail at Fernclaw. "Fernpaw, of course. Mellowstar kidnapped her."

Clawflower was confuzzled. "I didn't know you two were related."

"Don't exactly like the fact we're related." Fernclaw muttered. She breathed. "She didn't lie about what Mellowstar has done, either."
Mellowstar hissed. "lies."

"You two are contradicting each other." He turned to look between Mellowstar and Fernclaw, careful not to meet the latter's eyes. He turned back to Branchstar. "If you're not here with a medicine cat, that must mean you're hostile?" It was more of a question than anything. He was trying to act like a naive fool.

"Just a little." Branchstar murmured. "I want my kit back." She spat at Mellowstar.
"No way! She's with me now!" Mellowstar snarled in return.
"What if I don't want to be with either of you?" Fernclaw murmured under her breath, but both were so worked up they didn't hear/

Clawflower flicked his ears toward Fernclaw, but didn't reply. He didn't know how to.

Fernclaw used both of the older cats distraction to slowly slip to the back of the crowd, and then turned, almost to the entrance. She really did NOT want to deal with this at the moment, and never would.

Branchstar and Mistress both looked completely hostile, fur fluffed up, teeth bared.

Clawflower awkwardly stepped back, following Fernclaw to an extent.

Branchstar's claws unsheathed, growling. She lunged at Mellowstar furiously.
Mistress snarled, dodging quickly and pouncing at Branchstar.
Fernclaw looked at the two leaders, rather emotionlessly, and padded into the forest.

Clawflower was curious, so he followed Fernclaw out of the camp silently. He didn't like this unneeded violence now.

Fernclaw was breathing deeply, basically picking her direction at random. She looked like she was about to cry, actually. It was all so stupid, and she wished they would just stop fighting for once.

Clawflower followed Fernclaw stealthily. For some reason he didn't want her to know he was there.

Fernclaw didn't really know where to go or what to do. She had no idea Clawflower was even there. Finally she just stopped, unable to hold her slight tears back any longer.

Clawflower stopped suddenly as Fernclaw began to cry... the wave of sadness made his heart lurch. It hurt him just to see her sad, and he had the urge to rush over and comfort her. Without knowing what to do, he just stood there.

Fernclaw finally noticed Clawflower, a few feet away from her. "Oh StarClan, I look like an idiot, don't I?"
