Stripepelt sighed, and looked at Raincloud. "This is terrible," He said sadly, but tried to perk up for his mate.

Larchstar looked up towards Stripepelt. "Almost the entire Clan fell apart... but we should have faith."

Raincloud nodded. "StarClan cannot abandon us. Not when that 'light of the jagged storm' is still here," she said, quoting from her dream moons ago. Her tail swished back and forth to rest on Lightningpaw's shoulder, and for a moment she thought she saw the sky darken. Was it close to nighttime?

Stripepelt nodded. "But even wayy back then, when we had the fight with Mellowclan there was lighting.." He said, looking troubled. "Of course, we should have faith." He said.

((soooooo what do we do now?))

"We have kits nearly ready to be apprentices, our leaders, the medicine cat, and a few warriors. We should be able to survive for a while until..." she counted seven kits. "Our seven kits are apprentices."

((I have a plot in mind, actually. =D ))

Branch and Wolf went to bed again the next night, and Fernkit and Graykit stayed awake, wide awake. Fernkit was feeling low about scratching Graykit and bored.
"Its time!" Mellowstar hissed in her head, encourageingly.
Fernkit checked to see if the parents were asleep, and stood up. "Well.. I'm leaving to go explore JointClan more! You coming?" She asked.
"I swear," Graykit muttered, following reluctuantly.

They soon reached the camp, only to discover that people were talking inside the camp, near the entrance. "If we get caught again.." graykit started to threaten, but Fernkit cut him off hissing. "SHUT UP OR THEY'LL FIND US!" Maybe a little to loudly, I suppose. It was loud enough for Stripepelt, Raincloud and Larchstar to hear.
"Now you've done it. We're dead." Graykit growled.

Larchstar heard "SHUT UP OR THEY'LL FIND US!"

As did Brackenheart.

The leader only giggled, but Brackenheart stood stiffly, glaring at the entrance.

Well, that started Graykit and Fernkit's shoving match. Graykit, being the stronger, shoved Fernkit hard, and they both toppled over right in front of Brackenheart, Larchstar, Stripepelt and Raincloud.
Graykit and Fernkit froze. "Oh, now we've done it," Graykit fretted nervously.

(Oh, wait. Raincloud's kits are warriors.)

Raincloud chuckled. "Kits are always so rambunctious." She smiled at Graykit and Fernkit, her eyes closed contentedly.

Dusktalon seemed to have a glare, but he was far away from the kits, and his amber eyes just turned away, his head down. He knew he couldn't scold the kits for being kits...

Graykit cocked his head, wondering if they knew who their parents were, or if they knew they're weren't supposed to be here. He padded up to Raincloud. "Your.. Raincloud, the medicine cat, right? Mama told us about you, and Stripepelt.. And even Fernstar and mellowstar to!" Hee said.
Fernkit's tail was across his mouth is an instant. "Quiet!" She growled, but it was already to late, he had opened his big mouth. Next, they were probably gonna ask who their parents were. Joy.

Brackenheart's eyes narrowed at the kits, but he knew Larchstar was watching, so he stepped back. No one said anything, but Willowpaw bounded forwards and looked at them curiously.

"Oh, look, more kits!~"

"We're almost apprentice age!" Fernkit protested lightly. "I think we outta go now.." She said, taking a step back.
"Your the one who said you wanted to learn more about Mom's old home!" Graykit said before she could silence him.
"I'll give you another scratc-" She threatened, before looking up and seeing Wingstar approached. Oh, how this couldn't get any worse. Next thing you knew, Mellowtail or Stormrage were gonna be out here blabbing out their Mom. Branch, the murderer, the traitor. Great.

Raincloud nodded. "So, wait... you're kits from outside the Clan?"

She looked for Larchstar, wondering cautiously if the leader approved.

Dusktalon's eyes widened, his ears flicking back with surprise. Where exactly did these kits come from. A soft growl came from his throat, so quiet you would have to be a tail-length from him to hear it. Lightningstripe's tail slapped over his brother's mouth, and the dark gray tom was immediately silenced, his blue eyes suspicious. Why didn't his brother care?

"Umm.. Well sort of," Fernkit confessed. "Technically we're related to Wingstar, and Fernstar, because our Mom is Branch. But we're not like her," She said. Lies. This was all rubbish and lies she was telling. Well, about her. graykit was good, not her though.

"Wingstar and Fernstar? Your mother is Branch?" It was impossible to read Larchstar's expression. Kits had a habit of getting into trouble. "...Who's Branch again? I forgot."

Brackenheart looked suspicious.

"Umm.. Umm.. Branch was from BloodClan, all those seasons ago. She.. She joined MellowClan, and became Branchthorn and attacked the Clan. She's a traitor. She's a murderer." Fernkit said, her expression unreadable. Wow, Fernkit was calling her MOM a traitor, when she was really one as well. Graykit nodded in agreement to her words, catching Brackenhearts suspicious eyes.

"I swear to StarClan when I get my paws on those KITS." Wolf growled, padding over to Kira to wake him up. "Get up! We have to go find the kits. Again." Wolf said, clearly worried, anxious and angry.

Branch took a deep breath in, an dthen out, in, out. She was going to kill those kits, so help her StarClan. It obviously hadn't been Graykit's idea, he was a good kit, he didn't sneak off and talk to evil dead cats. (xDD)

KIra groaned again and rolled up. "Yeah, yeah, the kits are gone, let's go," He said, slightly bored. "Ya know they aren't in life threatening situations," He assured Wolf and Branch.

"Yeah, I know. But its getting pretty irritating. Fernkit's acting out a bit, if you haven't noticed." Wolf muttered under his breath, so only him and Kira could hear.

Branch padded ahead, reaching JointClan camp quickly. This better not become a regular routine.

"As if it wasn't obvious enough," Kira said. "Let's go. Branch already left," He advised.

Wolf bounded after Branch, his friend following. They pretty much didn't bother sneaking in, and marched right in quietly. "Sorry about the kits, I'll take them back now," She said to Raincloud, Stripepelt, Brackenjheart and Larchstar, interrupting Fernkit's rant about her being a murderer and a traitor.

"I swear to starclan i will murder you," Kira said to Fernkit. He shruged and picked up Greykit by his neck.

((Ya know what I meant by that))

Fernkit rolled her eyes. "Blah blah blah. Like I believe that, traitors." She said, feeling horrible and low. She was a horrid person, she was stupid, reckless, an IDIOT. But Mellowstar commanded it.

Graykit felt himself being picked up, and struggled to get free. "I wanna stay!"

"So sorry, they snuck away. Again," Branch apologized to the group of cats, wanting to get out of there and fast. She couldn't wait 'til they were alone and Wolf started yelling at Fernkit.

"It's dangerous, and I don't want you to end up like your sister," Kira explained to Greykit in a muffled voice.

"Fernkit is not bad, she and this Clan is NOT dangerous!" Graykit snapped right back, and wriggled and twisted around, trying to break free. "Fernkit is not going to end up like ANYTHING."
