Mellowstar growled back in response. "I have every right in the WORLD, she's my granddaughter, may I remind you."

Fernkit looked up at Uncle Kira. "How do you know? Grandpa already looks at me like he practically KNOWS me." She said, in a matter-of-fact tone.

Graykit pressed up against Branch and Wolf, while Kira talked to his sister. He didn't like the looks on the leader, Mellowtail, and Stormrage's faces. He couldn't see Mellowstar, only Kira, Fernkit, Branch, Wolf, and Wingstar could, so he was confused when Kira seemed to talk to nothing.
"Mama? Why did you do those things that Wingstar talked about?" He asked, looking up at his parents.
Branch couldn't think of a proper answer to tell a KIT. "I.. Uh.." She stammered.

Wingstar spoke up. "Graykit, she did those things.. Well, she did them because she threw a temper tantrum. I wouldn't give her a proper warrior name, because I had it planned for the next day. She didn't like that, she likes things to go HER way." He said. Branch couldn't think of a response still, because every word Wingstar spoke was pure truth.

"And I'm her parents best friend, so I'm like an Uncle!" Kira countered. He wished he could snap his fingers ((XD)). "No, he doesn't know you. He just thinks he knows your mother, so he thinks you are the same way. That's why I want you back with the rest of us," Kira explained. "Will you?"

Mellowstar turned invisable, and made herself only heard to Fernkit. "Its for the best. You'll be a great warrior, all in due time, I promise." She said in her head.
Fernkit nodded. "Ok, Uncle Kira, I'll come back." She padded toward her parents, wishing she could think to Wingstar that she'd be back or SOMETHING. She sighed, and they all set off.

Wehn they were back home, and the kits asleep, she turned to Kira and Wolf. "Oh my StarClan, I wish I could've turned invisable." She muttered, yawning at the pale dawn light spreading across the sky.

"I'm sorry about the kits. WE need to tell them about... us," Kira admited. He looked at the two. "We need to."

Branch looked at them. "You guys didn't do anything, I'm the one who.." She paused, sighing. "Well, you know. Wingstar must've already told them parts of what happened, I'm not sure how much exactly though." She said, looking worried.

((You're right, I don't know exactly how much! XD))

"Oh, well... What DO we do?" KIra asked, confuzzeled.

((I', sorry, but I had to put THAT word))

((Nah, 'tis fine. xDD Wingstar rold 'em about Branch runnin' away, and starting the fight, and that she killed someone. The kits don't know who though. (OH! MIYTERIOUS! xDD)))

"We'll just tell them the whole story, I guess. I mean, Wingstar probably gave a pretty bad version on somethings." He admitted. "But not now, they're probably tired form there little nightime adventure." He said, and padded away to go hunting.

Branch nodded. She sat down, sighing. She stared at the den, and then back at Kira. "I always knew I would have to tell them.. Someday. I just ddin't think NOW." She said.

"I know, Branchy, I know," Kira said, yawning. He laid his head down. "I'm sorry, I think I might have to crash here tonight," He said, falling into a deep sleep.

Branch nodded, yawning herself. "No problem Kira, your practically family." She smiled, and bounded to the den to check on the kits again.

Wolf came back with prey, and dropped a plump mouse by Kira, for when he woke up. He padded to the den, with Branch and the kits.

Kira was dreaming that night. He was in a two-leg house. He wandered around the rooms, realizing the two-legs were not home. He could do whatever he wanted! He walked on the ledge on top of the fireplace, jumped on the couches, even scratched their beds. It felt so, EXILERATING! He found a little rubber door he could walk through and jumped over the fence and back into the forest. He wasn't used to it, but nobody could blame him. He smiled and ran around her too. He had complete freedom, no Wingclaw, no Mellowstar ghost thingy ((XD)), nothing. Just trees and prey and scents of Branch, Wolf and the kits.

((Do I detect Kira wanting to be a soft kittypet? xDD))

Branch and Wolf shared a mouse, and then saved one or two for the kits. When they woke up, Graykit was his usual chattery self, but Fernkit ate in silence. She was listening hard, waiting for Mellowstar to talk her.. Or SOMETHING.
Branch looked at Wolf, and sighed. "I hate this," She mouthed, and he nodded. "I know."

((NAWS! KIRA NO WANT KITTYPET! XO))

Kira awoke, after crashing into a "invisible tree" in his dream. He looked down in front of him to see Wolf's mouse that he left for him. "Thanks, Wolf!" Kira thanked. He laid down by the kits. "So, how are you two after last night?" He asked, praying to Starclan the three of them won't get in a fight.

((Get in a fight, get in a fight get in a fight XD))

((Oh, of course they're is gonna be a fight. xDD))

Well, Fernkit oviously wasn't gonna say that they should be glad she's here, so she stayed quiet. Graykit was chirpy though. "It was so cool! Wingstar was a leader, and he kept looking at Fernkit funny, but it was SO COOL."
"Shut up you stupid kit," She snapped. "Be mature for once, will you? You dealing with Mom being a MURDERER like it never even happened.
Graykit looked fallen, but remained quiet.
Branch growled. "Fernkit, how much did Wingstar actually tell you?" She asked.
"That you ran away about something stupid, started a fight, and I think that's when our wonderful Mommy Dearest burst in." She said.
"Don't be difficult, Fernkit, listen to your Mother." Wolf growled.
"I'm officially the good kit," Graykit murmured.
Fernkit lost it then. "THATS IT YOU STUPID KIT!" She shrieked. "I'LL FREAKING SHOW YOU WHO'S GOOD YOU SOFTIE KITTYPET!" She lunged at him, pinning him down. She was smaller, but faster. Graykit whipped around, and Fernkit dodged under him, and slashed his face with her claws.
That's when everyone went silent in horror, and stared at the small blood drops welling on Graykit's face.

Kira had to burst into this. He turned his head towards Branch and Wolf. "Do you two know any medicine cat training?" He asked frantically. While he was waiting for an answer, he was deciding what to do with Fernkit.

Branch dashed forward, shoving Fernkit roughly aside. "Umm.. Cobwebs for bleeding, I know that. I can't remember whats for infection though," Branch said frantically, tending to Graykit.
Wolf dashed forward as well, and it was all a blur of sound and movement. Fernkit just sat back and watched lazily, growled to herself. "Whats all the fuss? I just gave the cheeky little kit a tiny boo boo." She muttered.
Mellowstar sounded in her head. "You have the makings of being the greatest warrior, Fernkit. Paitence, remember, paitence." She said.

"Well, just find some cobwebs now!" Kira said frantically. He turned to Fernkit. "You're making him bleed from his face! That's not tiny!" He said. He grudged and searched for cobwebs with Branch, leaving Wolf with the two kits.

((HAHA!))

Branch nodded, and scrambled away with Kira. That's when Wolf spun on Fernkit.
Fernkit interrupted him before he could speak. "I know, I know, I'm in trouble. Save it." She said. "I'm sorry, alright?" She said quietly, hanging her head.
Graykit layed down, whimpering. "It's fine, really, Dad. I'm not hurt, its not Fernkit's fault, I shouldn't of taunted her." He said.
Fernkit felt that pang her heart, and padded over to her brother. "I'm sorry, I really am.." She said, feeling really low.

Branch emerged out of a bush (or something of that nature), and shouted to Kira. "Found cobwebs, Kira!"

Kira was up an old tree when he heard Branch. "Great, let's see if that'll do!" He jumped down and ran back to Wolf and the youngsters.

((Heehee, youngsters. xDD))

Branch dashed back with Kira, and got back to the den. She made Fernkit back up, and pressed cobweb to the wound on Graykit's face.
Graykit whimpered. "Ow.." He flashed a look at Wolf and Fernkit, for he just ruined his cruddy lie he just told.

"It'll only sting for a little," Kira encouraged Greykit. He turned to Fernkit. "Are you OK?" He asked.

"I didn't get hurt," Fernkit said, shaking her head. "I'm fine."

Branch wanted to glare at Fernkit, but really, she couldn't judge. She soothed Graykit.

Wolf looked at Fernkit, eyes suspicious.

Raincloud's eyes were filled with pain as she looked up at the sky. She remembered Spottedpaw, killed by a badger. She had taken Crowpaw in as a "sibling" to the others, even though they seemed to still view him as a MellowClan cat sometimes. Dawnpaw, now called Dawnfrost, was sitting next to her mother, who was a medicine cat. Dawnfrost's green eyes followed Raincloud's gaze, as they looked through the hole in the medicine cat den that revealed the deep blue sky. Dawnfrost was a medicine cat too, and Raincloud had taken her in as her apprentice, even though Raincloud had been her mother.

Dusktalon and Lightningstripe sat far outside the den, not wanting to disturb the two she-cats. Dusktalon groomed himself, while Lightningstripe kept a sharp watch, as if something was coming. His ears twitched from time to time.

Croweyes sat closer to the entrance, his eyes narrowed with shared sorrow at Dawnfrost. His head went down slightly in respect to Spottedpaw, who had only been killed a few days before, just when she would have received her warrior name.

He padded further from the den, looking out into the endless forest, his lightly colored eyes reflecting the brilliant sunlight.

((Aww.. Thats sad. =( ))

Stripepelt sat away from all his kits, and mate, greiving for Spottedpaw. They all knew how she had been killed, and he was feeling slightly meloncholy, you could say. And then the apperance of Branch and Wolf's kits had then the parents themselves had dazed the whole Clan for a few days. Stripepelt was convinced that StarClan was slowly giving up on them, all the fights before this, the murder, the trechery from JointClan warriors, and then this. He looked the sky, sighing, and seeming a lot older then he really was.

((I keep forgetting to do this.))

The Clan had practically fallen totally apart. Larchstar, Brackenheart, Raincloud, their kin and a few others were left. There had been a badger attack, but fortunately only a couple of warriors had died. She had forgotten the rest of the story up to now, but Brackenheart was looking at her like she was an interesting book.

"Come back here, Willowpaw." She gave a soft-hearted but firm mew to one of her kits.

"Can't I go out hunting?" The pitch-black she-cat's head turned, but she slowly began to stalk back towards her mother.

"You're only an apprentice. You need to wait for the dusk patrol."

"It'll be here before you know it," came a squeak from behind a small bush. A light gray apprentice with darker tabby stripes poked his head and front paws out from under the leaves.

Larchstar smiled. This little cat was Rillpaw. He had wanted to be a medicine cat apprentice, but the spot was filled by Bluepaw.

"What, you're excluding me from the conversation?" The third of Larchstar's kits bounced between Willowpaw and Rillpaw. He was Sorapaw, named after a marsh bird.

"Now, now," Larchstar said. "If you're working on your battle techniques, please keep your claws sheathed.

Rillpaw grinned mischievously.

Larchstar already had names in mind for all of them once they were old enough to be warriors.

Raincloud couldn't bear seeing Stripepelt so sad. She wandered over to him and licked his shoulder comfortingly, with Duskpaw and Lightningpaw at her tail. Meanwhile, Dawnpaw watched from a while away, where Willowpaw had been. She tried to stay near Crowpaw, for some reason, but he seemed less fazed by Spottedpaw's death. Or maybe he just seemed strong on the outside.
