= JointClan = Part 7- Returning trouble

Kira heard Branch screaming and it ending abruptly. He turned towards Wolf. "I think we should find her!" He exclaimed to Wolf.

"You do?" Branch asked, feeling her hopes lift. "Branchthorn sounds amazing, but.." She trailed off, looking over her shoulder. She though she saw a glint in Mellowstar's eyes, and it didn't look good, but she wasn't sure. "What do I have to do to get my warrior name?" She asked, feeling anger rise in her again as she thought about Wingclaw. She dug her claws into the soil.

Fernstar pricked her ears, and bounded into the forest. She stopped, and saw Branch and Mellowstar talking, there was a glint in her eyes. Both of there eyes, and they looked very frighteningly familiar.
"Mother." She greeted coldly. "Branch, come on, you shouldn't be around this cat."

"She's related to me, and I can be around her if I like. She'll give me what I want, SHE thinks I'm ready for a warrior name." Branch snarled, standing in a defensive position. Her fur bristled, and she bared her teeth. "What do I have to do, Mellowstar?" She asked again, turning away from fernstar.

Kira, IRRITATED THAT WOLF WOULDN'T REPLY TO HIM, left on his own, hoping that he would find Branch by himself.

((Gah, my "H" is hard to push. and everything has an H in it now!))

Wolf shook his head. "Sorry," He mumbled, and dashed after Kira. They came upon Branch talking to Mellowstar, and Fernstar telling Mellowstar off. Wolf paused. "Quiet.." He hissed to Kira as a reminder. Wolf watched from the bushes.

Kira turned his head and watched the two argue. He hoped that nothing serious was happening.

Wolf felt an alarm going off in his head. Branch, talking to Mellowstar, this could not be good. Not at all.
"I'm worried," Wolf whispered to Kira.

Kira could be slightly more worrieed but knew Branch wouldn't be tempted enough. Because of this, he whisper replied, "Don't be."

"But, isn't Mellowstar evil? Why would branch be talking to her?" Wolf replied quietly, eyes dark and his mouth pulled into a frown.

"I'm sure Branch is good enough to avoid being tempted by her," Kira replied, hoping it would end the conversation.

Wolf nodded, even though he slightly disagreed. Branch was good, of course! Branch was a little reckless was all, and acted upon emotion at the time, and doesn't think about the consequences, thats all Wolf was worried about. "Whatcha think they're talking about?" He asked Kira, trying to lighten up a little.

"I dunno, just be quiet!" Kira said iritated.

Wingclaw followed, and barred his teeth. "Leave her alone! Mellowstar!" He spat and slaked closer. "YOU put copperstar in me, and I forced him out! Stay.Away.From.My.Daughter." He said to her, locking his eyes into hers. Wingclaw glared at Branch. "I didn't say you were ready. It was past sunfall remember?" He retorted.

Branch rolled her eyes, "Yeah. RIGHT." Branch said, and then Wolf burst out from the bushes. "DON'T. Branch, come back!" He said, practically begged.
Branch looked at Mellowstar, and took a step closer. "Branch, please?" Wolf begged, eyes wide.
Branchthorn stood by Mellowstar. "Its BranchTHORN." She said, growling.

Kira jumped out with Wolf. "PLEASE BRANCHTHORN!" He pleaded, moving towards her.

Mellowstar hissed. She laid her ears back. "Come on." She growled.

Wingclaw calmed down. "Come on, Branchfeather." He hissed. "I was planning it all along. No cat is suppose to know when they get their name!"

Branchthorn looked from Mellowstar, and to Wingclaw and her friends. She looked back at Mellowstar, and padded away with her. "Branchfeather is weak," She snarled, and stalked off, her tail in the air.

Kira snarled in his mind and standed there, waiting for the others to leave. He had a plan.

((She doesn't come back until wayy later in the plot, just remember that. =D She's a stubborn kitty. xDD))

Wingclaw watched her go. "Get the apprentices. Start training. I read Mellowstar's plan. WE did defense." He hissed, then looked at Wolf. He looked away and left.


Mellowstar smirked. She knew Wingclaw read her mnd but didn't care.

Branchthorn padded by Mellowstar's side. She knew she was way to stubborn to go back now, and she turned to Mellowstar. "What are we going to do to them?" She asked.

Fernstar dashed into camp, after Wingclaw. Wolf stayed with Kira. "What are you doing still here?" He asked.

"Uhm, uh, just, uhm, admirring the clouds today. Not that we don't have a serious situation on our paws, just distracted for a second," Kira said, improving an excuse. "I'll see you back at camp," He said, finding a clearing to "admire" the sky.

Wolf raised an eyebrow (if cats have eyebrows xD), and looked at Kira curiously. "Alright.. If your not back soon, I'm coming to get you, Mr. Spacey." Wolf teased, yet was still serious looking. He padded away, and was soon outta sight.
