= JointClan = Part 7- Returning trouble

Wingclaw thought about. "Fine...." He sighed, and looked at Branch. "Your siblings are Maroon and Peaceheart. How do I know? Your mother is Fernstar....and I'm your father. You see, Fenstar use to be in BloodClan with me, when Copperstar was leader. We became mates and...." He trailed off.

Branch stared. "But, but.. Toothstar was Fernstar's mate, and she has kits. And.. And.. That would mean Stormkit and Mellowkit are my half siblings and.. I'm related to Mellowstar! WHY DIDN"T YOU GUYS TELL ME?" She gasped, and felt an overwhelming pan g of greif for Maroon.

Wingclaw rolled his eyes. "We didn't tell you because of Maroon." He said, and flicked his tail.

"Poor Maroon.." Branch said. "Well, if your my Mom and Dad, why do I look like some dead leader and not one of you?" She asked.

Wolf felt really awkward considering it had been him that had killed Maroon. Well, technically Wolfstar, but still.

Wingclaw shrugged.

Branch looked at Fernstar, and then Stormkit and Mellowkit. "Wow, I actually have a family."

Wingclaw nodded.

Pufflepaw jumped all around as Fernstar called for a meeting.

Fernstar smiled as Pufflepaw bounded around in excitement. Bashpaw sat next to her, grinning and quiet.
"Pufflepaw, and Bashpaw. You have trained long and hard, and its time for you to become warriors," Fernstar called. "From this day on, you will be known as Pufflefeather and Bashwind."

All the Clan cats called out there names.

Pufflefeather grinned, and stood proudly.

Bashwind stood by her, grinning. He beamed with pride. "Finally, we're finally full warriors of JOintClan!" He whispered.

Mellowkit was staring at Bashwind, and didn't take her eyes off him. "Bashwind makes me feel odd.. I dunno why though." Mellwokit said, curious. Well, Mellowkit didn't know that Bashwind was her.. Uncle? And that she was named after someone so EVILL. xD

Pufflefeather nodded.

"Wow. This is so exciting!" Bashwind grinned, and Fernstar dismissed the meeting. Bashwind leaped down with Pufflefeather. "Awesome name, by the way," He smield.

Pufflefeather blushed. "Thanks. You too!" She purred, delighted.

Bashwind felt a purr rumble in his throat. "So, do you wanna go hunting or something?" He asked. Pufflefeather and him had so much in common. They even both didn't have any family members to celebrate this with, but at least they had each other. (Awww.. Romatic. xD))

Pufflefeather smiled. 'That'd be delightful!" She said, sounding all proper. She giggled.

Bashwind chuckled. "Very polite, proper sounding, Pufflefeather." He grinned, and bounded out of camp into the forest. It was really cool to be out in forest without having to ask, or with a warrior. Without realizing it, he had come close to the MellowClan border. He skidded to a halt, and gazed across the border. "Whoops." He muttered softly.

Pufflefeather followed him. "Nice going..." She murmered, and looked up. She saw a familar, smiling face....Grasstail!


Grasstail bounded toward the two cats. "I'm free!" She cried.

Bashwind was shocked. "You're free? How'd you get out?" He asked. How did you get out from my mother? Is what Bashwind finished in his head.

Grasstail smiled. "I'm not telling anyone, even newly appointed warriors!"

Bashwind stuck his tounge out, grinning. "Yeah. yeah. What happened with my Mom and her other kits?" Bashwind asked.

"Your mom is of course, alive. our siblings.....dead." she sighed.

"How'd they .." He trailed off, feeling greif threatening to overwhelm him.

Grasstail sighed. "Trampled on in battle." She answered, sadly.

Bashwind blinked. "That's terrible." He said softly. "We'll take you back to camp," He said, padding toward JOintClan camp. He didn't dare speak, for he knew he was gonna cry.

Grasstail nodded, again. she watched poor Bashwind. She entered JointClan camp and smiled. She saw Shadowheart. "Shadowheart!" She called.
