Amberstar snorted. "He already did. With the medicine cat." She recalled. She smirked. "I was mean to him about it, but with you, i'll do anything to protect them!" She snarled.

Mellowstar snarled, "She has, has she?" Mellowstar pondered a moment. "Hmm.. That makes things interesting."

Amberstar scratched Mellowstar. "Your not going to live to see it!" She snarled.


Pufflekit looked around camp. She flicked her ears. Her mother's scent wavered into camp, and she padded toward it. Pufflekit saw Mellowstar's tail, then her mom appeared. She looked behind her shoulder. No one was paying attention but Bashkit and Amberkit. The other kiits followed her as they left camp without being noticed.

"Oh yeah, how mcuh you wanna bet?" She snarled, pinning her.

Pufflekit appeared at her mother's side. "You first!" She hissed.

Amberstar stared at Pufflekit. She could feel Mellowstar's claws sinking into her skin. Somehow she was...dying.Mellowstar was killing her.

Mellowstar smiled, malice in her eyes. She smacked Pufflekit away, sinking her claws in deeper in Amberstar.

((Epic plot for the win! But the sun's already beginning to set... And if you don't mind, could I say Breezestep had a kit... Crowkit? After this OOC post I'll continue RPing.))

((Oh, yeah, and... Dawnkit has blue eyes, by the way. I posted a picture with green ones.))

Breezestep carefully picked Crowkit up in her jaws. He was a long-furred brown tom, but his eyes hadn't even opened yet; he was so young. The queen admired her kit already. She trusted that he would become a strong MellowClan warrior... probably the most powerful!

Raincloud slept near her kits. Spottedkit had to sleep right next to her belly because the kit's fur was so short. However, Duskkit and Lightningkit were content sleeping against each other, since their pelts were slightly longer. Then there was Dawnkit, who slept next to them but not exactly in their group. The moon was about to rise...

Mellowstar wasn't in camp, and wasn't aware at all about Breezestep yet. She needed to get back soon, for her kits, she couldn't leave them alone for too long. She snarled, and slashed Amberstar's face. "I'll finish this, Amberstar," She vowed, and sprinted back to camp.

Fernstorm was resting in the queen dens, and she sighed, looking at the moon as it rose. Toothstar, her mate, had die of old age. He would never see his kits, in camp that is, he could always watch from StarClan. She felt a pain in her stomach, and looked around. It was nothing, that was nothing.. She hoped.

Breezestep looked at Mellowstar loyally and swished her tail in greeting, Crowkit still being held in her jaws. "Welcome back. Did you get Bashkit?" The white queen's voice was slightly muffled because of her kit, but it was still understandable. Crowkit struggled slightly, and Breezestep placed him down but still kept an eye on him.

Mellowstar replied but shaking her head, and sighing. "He didn't want to come," She said ruefully. She didn't say anthing about the night attack/

Breezestep dipped her head anyway, but her eyes were closed with sorrow. "I do wish he could have come so that we could have another apprentice... but look." Amiably, the queen placed Crowkit in front of Mellowstar. The dark brown kit opened his mouth wide to yawn, but seemed to acknowledge his leader by doing so. Breezestep hoped that Mellowstar would at least be happy of Crowkit... and although he was still young, Breezestep was sure that someday, he would make a great warrior...

Mellowstar nodde, smiling at the kit, pleased. "How wonderful, another apprentice soon enough." She said briskly.

Breezepelt looked up wistfully at the sky, nodding momentarily. The moon was now beginning to rise. "You should get some rest," the queen recommended, gazing at her leader. The white cat began to pad into her den, carefully picking up Crowkit again. As Breezepelt lay down, she kept Crowkit close to her belly with her paws, watching him carefully. With this excitement, she wasn't sure if she could fall asleep... but Crowkit would wake her up if he needed something.

And back in the camp, Raincloud and her kits were still fast asleep...

((DUN DUN DA DUUUN))

Of course, it was night. Larchstar was slumbering peacefully in her den, but Brackenheart was wide awake. A direful wind swept through his den. Something was wrong, but what?

Dawnkit was dreaming fitfully by her siblings. Nobody, not even StarClan, knew that this was the power that she had gotten.

The gray tabby was sitting at the entrance to the camp, all the warriors gathered in the clearing. Dawnkit's blue eyes stared ahead, and a calm wind blew through the trees, carrying a sparkling material. Starlight? Dawnkit asked herself. The starry wind mystified her, but when she looked back at the Clan, all their gazes were staring ahead as if there was a monster at the front of the camp. Dawnkit turned her blue eyes back to the entrance, but just as she did so, she heard a frightening caterwaul. Whirling around onto her paws, she watched in horror as the wind slashed the warriors, one by one. The wind became a frightening gale, and went through Stripepelt. As it did, it looked like it was tearing his pelt as claw-wounds blossomed on his body.

Dawnkit flinched in terror as the stormy presence took a sharp turn and did the same with Raincloud. "What's going on here!?" Dawnkit yowled to the sky.

Breathing hard, Dawnkit found herself awake, next to her kin. She gazed at Raincloud to make sure she was still there. However, the medicine cat was perfectly fine, drowsing peacefully.

In the fear that the dream would become real, Dawnkit battered Raincloud with her paws until her mother woke up. "Mama, I had a bad dream."

"What is it?" Raincloud sighed, knowing that the kits would probably do this every other night or so.

"There was a wind... it carried starlight! It felt calm at first, but then it turned into a set of claws! And it slashed through you and Papa!" It looked as if she was about to cry.

"It's okay, Dawnkit," Raincloud soothed, only hoping that the dream didn't mean anything. "Go back to sleep."

"Okay," Dawnkit reluctantly mewed, curling up. She didn't have the slightest clue that it meant Mellowstar would attack.

But the kit couldn't fall back asleep. Worried, she padded into Larchstar's den, but she was snoozing as well. Patiently, Dawnkit sat at the entrance.

Mellowstar waited until Breezepelt and Crowkit were sleeping, and crept out of camp. She was nearer, and nearer, and BAM. She was right in front of JointClan camp. She crept in, scenting the air to make sure nobody was awake. She didn't know Brackenheart and Dawnkit, and even Stripepelt were awake. "Thank you, Amberstar!" She growled lowly, she was gonna kill Stripepelt, the kits and Raincloud,

Stripepelt wasn't asleep, but in his den, awake and bored. He couldn't sleep, why? He didn't know.

One of Larchstar's ears pricked as she heard the tiny steps of a kit outside her den. She sat up, half-asleep. "Come in," she yawned.

Mellowstar froze in mid-step when she heard a voice. Larchstar, she assumed. It didn't matter, she just needed to get Stripepelt, Raincloud and their kits. That was her only target. She didn't think about the fact that THEY might have powers as well.

"I... I think I had a funny dream. It was a calm wind... carrying starlight... and it slashed through my parents," Dawnkit explained in a clear but frightful voice.

Raincloud breathed deeply, and drew in the scent. "MellowClan!" She shrieked, her pelt bristling. The medicine cat raced out of camp, hoping she hadn't woken everyone up for nothing.

Dawnkit's ears pricked, and she raced to her mother. "I just thought of something. The wind... was Mellowstar!" She caterwauled, racing into the den and barreling into her siblings. Meanwhile, Raincloud stood in front of Mellowstar, claws unsheathed and fangs bared. The scars on her side and left side of her face were still there from the time when she was an apprentice. "I vowed to kill you and I'll do it now!" Raincloud slashed at Mellowstar's face, across her right eye.

Mellowstar snarled, and saw Dawnkit streak across to her siblings. "Why so mad at me? Amberstar was the one who told me about the kits." She snarled and growled, slashing at Raincloud's face. Get her out of the way, and then Stripepelt, and lastly the kits was her plan. She nipped at Raincloud's ear.

Raincloud ducked to the side but rolled over, and then felt teeth sink into her ear. Yowling in pain, she slashed towards Mellowstar with her claws, then rolled onto her paws, Glaring. First, Raincloud leaped to the side, but it was a trick, and she jumped up, trying to land on Mellowstar's back. She was in for it now... Raincloud would stop at nothing to kill the one who had once taken her mate's live. And she would do it never again! Her blue eyes were wild with passionate rage.
