Preface
Heather rushed into the forest. Her pale face covered by her long black hair, was chilly with the current pushing her the wrong way. She ran as fast as she could the the dense trees and wet moss. "I'll get you!" Was the last faint yell before she entered the meadow. No one had gone here. This was Heather's new home. She sat down cross legged on the soft grass the surrounded her and looked up at the blinding sun. She had been running from the prince of Gerua, Geriaa, who liked Heather. She hated him, completly, and ran from where she was held. The chase between her and the guards and went through the castle, Village, a different meadow, and the forest. She gasped for breath as she stood up and started to explore. The meadow sretched for miles across, showing Heather no sign of anything but the long breezy grass in her way. There were some brambles and sheltered areas, and luckily Heather had her small pocket knife and her bow. Elves were always prepared. She sat in some weeds and sighed. She was going to have to live without elves and people around. The sun started to set, before than, Heather was asleep.
