Amberstar got up and walked part him, limping. She went to her den and hissed to herself.

Stripepelt sighed, and layed down. His mom was probably greiving for WOlfstar, in an odd way..

"Amberstar doesn't look okay," Raincloud said, "Physically or emotionally. I haven't seen someone who hissed to herslef for a long time." She sighed, trying to remember a time, and then shook her head. "If only she could tell us what was wrong..."

Larchheart looked up, her mind snapping back to reality. "Hi, Fernstorm."

Amberstar Curled up in her den. She growled and fell asleep.

Stripepelt shrugged. Fernstorm nodded absentmindedly to Larchheart, and then jumped up. "I have to tell Toothstar something." She muttered to herself, and brisked trotted toward her mate's den.

Toothstar groomed himself and yawned.

"Toothstar, can I talk to you..?" Fernstorm said, stopping just outside his den. She was hesitant, should she really tell him? Well, obviously the answer was yes, but still..

Toothstar turned around. "Uh, sure." He said, kinda surprised.

Fernstorm blinked, and kind of regretted coming up here. She wondered if anyone noticed, if anyone noticed that her stomach was just a little bit rounder, that she was just a little bit moodier.. "I am pregnet." She said, feeling ready to hyperventalate.

Toothstar's eyes widen. He got up and purred. He smiled. "Congratz! I'm finally a father!"

Fernstorm smiled, and purred. "Finally." She grinned.

Toothstar chuckled. "Do you know when they are due?" He asked.

"A few moons, at least." Fernstorm answered.

Toothstar nodded. "Go rest.." He murmered.

Fernstorm nodded, realizing with a pang that she probably had to sleep in the queen's den. "Crud." She muttered, and trotted offl.

"Goodbye Fernstorm," Larchheart meowed. However, it wasn't an ominous statement. Like she would die or something. At the thought, she rolled her eyes at herself. So suddenly you're ALL worried about death. Like that'll happen.

That was when she realized it didn't matter if she died. She had nothing to lose; Brackenheart had already gone to StarClan. However, she also didn't care if she lived. It wasn't a suicide-type situation.

Amberstar looked at herself. She wished sge wasn't so rude. It was just a mood swing in her secret pregnecy. She needed a deputy to take over. She already had someone in mind. She padded out of her den and yowled for a clan meeting.

Fernstorm sat at the entrance of the queen's den. Smallpaw and Lionpaw scampered up, and Stripepelt sat at the entrance of the medicine cat den.

Amberstar sighed. "I need a deputy to take over when I have my kits..." She started, loud and clear. "Larchheart will be our new deputy."

Larchheart dashed out of the den just in time to hear Amberstar's statement.

"Larchheart will be our new deputy."

The she-cat almost fainted. She shook her head and pounced closer to the [place where meetings take place], calmly padding up next to Amberstar.

"I can't remember if there's anything I need to say." There was a tinge of humor in her voice.

Stripepelt grinned, and Fernstorm smiled.

Seeing two cats in the crowd looking happy, Larchheart grinned and looked at the sky. She wondered how Brackenheart was feeling right about now.

Amberstar smiled.

Raincloud retreated to her den, lying down somewhat peacefully.
