"What's stopping me?" Jacob asked quizzicaly.

"Me." Violet said pushing him away again.

"Please." Jacob said desprately looking into her eyes.

"No!" Violet yelled taking Jake's arm and using it to push him on the ground.

Jacob scrammbled back up. "Violet, Listen to me..." He said rubbing where he had punched himself.

Violet turned away so Jake wouldn't see a stray tear, "Go! I never want to see you again!" She yelled pushing him again.

Jacob stared at her and nodded. He turned and sprinted towards the barn. His teeth gritting with frusteration and face wet with tears. He stormed in and went over to where his backpack was and slung it over his shoulder. He was going home.

Violet sprouted black and violet feathery wings and lifted into the sky. She looked like some twisted angel sobbing.

Jacob ran out the door before Ace or Annabelle could ask him what the matter was. He sprinted as fast as he could for two miles before he started to slow down.

Violet flew directly above Jake, watching over him. She was concealed by some smoke and appeared invisable.

Jacob stopped and pulled out his cellphone he dialed Violet's number. Hoping she would pick up.

"Darnit," Violet muttered fumbling with her phone, "Uh.. Hello?" She had fogotten to check the caller ID.

"You or no one can kill me." Jacob said quickly into the phone. "I can heal."

"I know that and I would't kill you!" Violet hissed into the phone hoping desperatly that Jake didn't look up.

"I thought that was your problem with having me come with you." Jake said calmly not knowing she was right above him.

"It is." Violet said biting her lip.

"Then, Come find me." Jacob said slowly shuffling his feet.

"Look up." Violet said shutting off her phone and hovering in the air. The sun was setting behind her and it cast a subtle glow on her wings, making the black shine and the violet swirls stand out. The Feathery appearance didn't match the way you would picture her in drragon form, because that wasn't her in dragon form. Those were just her wings. She hovered for a moment her jet black hair flying out in the wind before touching down on the ground and her wings dissapearing.

Before Jacob could look up she was already on the ground in front of him. He bit his lip waiting for her to say something like 'Get out of my sight.' but she didn't atleast not yet. "I have a secret of my own..." Jake said taking a swiss army knife from his backpack that he had taken from his house.

"What is it?" Violet asked looking at Jake with stern yet soft eyes. Her wings came out of her back again and she hovered in the air with the big black feathery wings behind her. There were swirls of Violet in the feathers and on each tip was colored bright violet. She sighed and hovered in the air waiting for Jacob to tell her the secret.

"I can't feel pain." Jacob said with a bit of glumness in his voice. "It's like my whole body is numb." He said biting his lip and with his free hand pushed up the sleeve to his short sleeve shirt revealing his shoulder. He took the silver glinting knife and drove it into the muscle of his shoulder. He didn't even wince. It just felt like nothing was happening. He pulled it out and the wound healed up again. "There you have it folks. I'm now a freak." He said with bitter sarcasim.

Violet hovered in the air, "Emotional pain or just physical?"

"Physical. Not mental as I just learned." Jacob said rolling his eyes and wiping the bloody knife on the solid dirt ground and folding it back up. He slipped it in the waterbottle holder of his backpack in case if he ever needed it.

Violet's wings beat silently as she shook her head, "I don't want you coming with me. I don't want you in danger, just stay with Ara and Ace. They'll take care of you."

"Violet, I'm in less danger then you are!" Jacob demanded looking into her eyes. "Anyway, You said Ace's and Arabelle's house is the 'safe house.'" He said reaching up and grabbing hold of a branch and lifting his feet off of the ground dangling.
