"Can I speak with you alone?" Violet asked.

Jacob looked over at her face. "Yeah, sure." He said respectfully. And looked into her eyes.

Violet blushed, "I'm not sure how to say this...

"What is it?" Jake asked confused his stoumach loosening up a bit since they had gotten there.

"Uh... I... Uh..." Violet went paler than her usually pale self and looked like she was about to vomit.

Jacob nodded slowly. "If you don't want to say whatever you wanted to tell me it's ok..." He said comfortingly.

"No you need to know..." Violet said calming herself down, "I can shapeshift..."

Jacob smiled and nodded. "Why is that something you had to tell me in private?" He asked confused.

"It's more hurtful than that... I can shaeshift, but only into one animal..." Violet said shaking her head.

"What is the animal?" Jacob asked trying not to sound urgent.

Violet shook her head and then muttered quietly, "A dragon."

"Why are you so sad about it though?" Jacob asked lifting up her chin with his finger.

Violet shook her head, "You don't understand... I'm some freak... When I'm a dragon I-I..."

"Violet. You could never be a freak though." Jacob said looking into her beautiful eyes.

Violet pulled away and where her hand was a moment before was replaced by a leathery black claw, with purple swirls throught the scales. "Does this look normal?" Violet asked looking down at the claw.

"No. But..." Jacob said lost for words. "It doesn't matter." He said after a few moments. His eye's glinted giving off a handsome glow. "You're the most normal person I know."

Violet shook her head and the claw dissapeared and melted back into her noramal hand, "I have to go, I can't be a danger to you. It will be like I had never met you."

"No. You're not leaving without me." Jacob said strongly. "I don't want you getting hurt or worse killed." He said biting his lip.

"No Jake, I am leaving. And you won't be able to follow." Violet said gritting her teeth, "All I have to ask that is you don't do anything mental." She grabbed her things and walked out of the barn.

Jacob got up from his seat and quickly followed her. "You're going to let me go." He demanded catching up to her. "I'd rather die then have you get hurt."

Violet pushed him back, "Stay away! I won't let you come with me!"

Jake sent an electrical current trough her body that was about 10 watts. "Seriously. Please." He begged coming closer.

Violet stood there literly shocked. She shook her head and pushed him away, "No! I won't let you!"
