Emmett chuckled. "Scary." he said with a smile. "And horrid. I didn't have the choice for my work for the castle, it was all decided for me."

"Well.... My father wasn't exactly the 'loving' type." Emmett said quietly,"When I was ten, he sent me off to train for the castle."

Emmett considered this, "Well... I suppose not. There weren't many people involved with my childhood life."

"EMMETT!!!" screamed Cassandra over the hills."There you are!" She said and rode towards them.

Emmett closed his eyes and turned to Cassandra, who he thought was really Chris. "What?!" he said fiercely.

"I'm sorry," said Emmett shaking his head. "I'll talk to you later," he said and swiftly stood up. He sprinted over to 'Chris'. "You couldn't have given me two minutes?!" he yelled.

Cassandra laughed. "Dude, you're gonna see 'er again. She's not gonna disappear, and anyways, we have to get ready, the attack could happen any minute!" Together they strode over the grounds, clinking their swords as they went.

The next day, Cassandra began to get her usual stuff on. She pulled her hair back and pulled on her hood to make sure no long girly hair was exposed.

Jake woke up and put on a pair of jeans an a tee. he didn't bother with his hair as he pulled on ajeacket and went outside, yawning.

Mai awakened, and pulled her jeans on with a black top, than her brown coat, and did her hair. It was wavy, and she pulled it into a pony-tail, her bangs falling inher face.

Cassandra walked down to the lake. Through the light fog and mist she saw a boy about her age taking a morning walk. She longed to be able to talk to him as a girl, but knew she couldn't blow her secret.

Jake walked over to the shape of a person. It ooked mysteriously like a girl, but once he came closer, he couldn't tell. He walked up to the person, "Hello,I am Jake!"

"Hey I'm-" started Cassandra, then she realized she was talking like a girl. "Uh I'm Chris." she corrected in a low man voice.
