~Dusk Leaf Pack~

A slender figure raced through the forest, her orange eyes wide with fear. Her dark black pelt provided her with cover as she kept to the shadows. Behind her, the shouts of Nofurs and the barks of their dogs grew louder. The she-wolf skidded to a halt, her breathing coming in short ragged gasps.

The dark forest was silent once more. The she-wolf growled. The Nofurs had officially destroyed her pack, leaving her as the only survivor. She snapped her jaws together, fury burning in her eyes.

Another wolf-a brute- came to join the she-wolf, lips pulled back in a smug grin. "Hello Blaze," he greeted, "I see you've been chased out of your home." Blaze growled but said nothing. "And do you know why?" The brute stepped forward, his wicked face inches from hers. "Because of me," he whispered in her ear.

Blaze growled. "Figures," she muttered. The brute just smiled and disappeared back the way he'd come. "I'll get you Roderick, I promise you." With that she turned and headed into unknown territory, creating a pack of her own.

Blaze growled, orange eyes burning. "Who are you? Not one of Roderick's followers I hope?" she snarled at the newcomer.

"N-no," the wolf stuttered, "I'm Ciara..,"

Blaze relaxed a little, looking the she-wolf over. "Well then," she said at last, "I'm Blaze, alpha female of Dusk Leaf Pack. Would you like to join?" Blaze looked up past the she-wolf, and scowled.

Ciara nodded hastily, turning to look behind her. A wiry brown brute stood in the shadows, snarling, a look of sly hatred in his eyes. Blaze turned and trotted away, followed by Ciara.
