Aquapaw padded up to her mentor, " Can we hunt? " Aquapaw asked.

" Okay, Spadepaw, lets try hunting and catching a fish." Stormheart said, leading the way to the ocean bank.

((Hey Moonclaw, are you in Mountain Time?))

"Of course!" Dawnfire replied cheerfully. We'll work on that fishing technique we showed you yesterday."

Spadepaw nodded, eager to learn.

( Nope, we are in Pacific Time.)

Aquapaw nodded happily. She waited for her mentor to lead her to the water.

" Okay, let me show you an example." Stormheart began. He leaned over the water, but not so much as his shadow showed on the water. He waited and saw a flash of silver, and his paw flashed out. He scooped up the fish and quickly gave it a bite to the neck. " Okay, make sure your shadow doesn't show on the water and kill your fish quickly." Stormheart said, and added, " Now you try."

((Oh, I was hoping you were, Harv and I are in MT))

Dawnfire instantly darted off through the camp entrance.

Spadepaw, nodded and swiftfully swam through the water, until her shadow was just in the right spot. She waited... and waited... and waited... until a flash of black caught her eye. She instantly dashed a paw into the water, and threw a fish into the air, quickly snapping at between her jaws. "I did it!" she exclaimed. "I really did it!"

" Awesome job!" Stormheart said, congradulating her.

Aquapaw bounded after Dawnfire.

((Her, Spadepaw is a her))

Dawnfire stopped near the water's edge, letting a few of the waves brush up against her paws. "This seems like a good spot," she commented to herself.

Spadepaw beamed. "Thanks!"

( SORRY, I think everybodys charrie thats a girl I think its a boy! ARRHH XD)

Aquapaw reached the edge with Dawnfire, she sat down. " Yes it is." Aquapaw agreed.

" Your welcome." Stormheart said, he looked at his beaming apprentice. Stomrheart was happy that he had taught something for once.

Dawnfire nodded. "I think you've seen Stormheart do this. You can try it."

"So... what are we doing now?" Spadepaw asked.

" Uh-huh." Aquapaw said proudly. She sat over the water, her shadow showing, and saw a fish. She swiped at it with her paw but she wasn't quick enough and the fish swam away.

" Well, we could catch more fish, I think we should." Stormheart said, adding, " So you can get better at it and all."

"Alright!" Spadepaw agreed.

"Your shadow was showing over the water," she pointed out. "Try moving towards an angle so that your shadow is in the right place."

" Okay.." Grumbled Aquapaw. She sat again, angling her shadow, so now it didn't show on the water. She saw fish and caught it, she quickly killed it. She sat up with the fish in her mouth.

Stormheart nodded, and sat. He caught another fish, " Okay, you can try again." Stormheart said.

Dawnfire congradulated Aquapaw as she caught her fisrt prey.

Spadepaw caught another fish happily.
