Thunderstar looked at Featherstar, he signaled for her to start.

She nodded. "We have decided to hold off on chosing deputy, but we need a medicine cat- for each Clan- right away. If anyone had ever wanted to be a medicine cat, please speak now," she mewed firmly.

"Great," Featherstar mewed. "When we get back, I will test your skills."

"She absoloutly hates me..." she whispered to River, rolling her eyes at FeatherStar's words of the 'perfect warrior'. "And no cat is perfect. You should know that! Don't pretend you don't, speak upfor yourself!" MistyRain whispered quietly and than glared at FeatherStar. Who is she to inquire some cat is perfect?! she thought. She smiled as she turned a light gaze to ThunderStar.

Thunderstar flicked his tail, his bold amber eyes scanning the small crowd of cats. "For now..." he muttered just loud enough for everyone to hear. "We will be sending out patrols to look for new cats. Depending on the leader's choice is where you will search." He paused for a moment. His eyes flickered to Mistyrain and River. "For now, we will start with the forest rouges and the kittypets..."

River glared at Mistyrain. "True, but there is practically perfect." Then looked back up at Thunderstar. He barley flinched at the word rouges, and nodded.

"That is all," Featherstar finished, hopping off the rock.

River nodded and padded back to camp behind Featherstar.

She crossed the broken log, swiftly jumping through the air. When she arrived at camp she paused to look at River. "I almost forgot, I need to give you a warrior name," she mewed to him.

River looked taken aback. "Well you could just call me River... But I guess I need one." River twitched his whiskers in embaressment.

"Well, I promise it wont be that different. It's just gives you a sense of feeling in the Clan," she mewed. "Well... I'm going to sleep. Mistyrain, you have first night-watch. You can come get me to do it at Moon-high."

River nodded in understanding. "I will to I guess." He guessed that he would be woken at Moon-high too, so he wanted to be rested and ready.

"Suit yourself," she mewed, shrugging, and padded into her den.

River padded over to the warriors den and found a nest os moss awaiting him. He smiled at himself. "This place has everything. If only I could help get more warriors to repay their kindness..." He muttered to himself as he lay in the bed.

That night Featherstar had a dream. A mighty silver-cat had come to save the Clan. Such bravery and kindness had been shown by this cat, Featherstar feared for her position as leader. Than she remembered another position... deputy.

River's eyes fluttered down and he finally drifted to sleep. He dreamed of finding many warriors, and bringing them all to the clan, but it slowly became a nighmare as there came too many warriors and kits, that he had to leave. Rivers eyes shot open. He padded out of the den. The moon was all most high.

MistyRain and sat at the gathering spot or hours, thinking of the words said at this meeting. "There is no 'practiacally perfect!'" she hissed to herself. "There is good! Perfect is a myth!" she glared up at where FeatherStar was once sitting, just glared...

River padded around the camp, waiting for Mistyrain to return. He slowly walked over to the fresh kill pile and picked up a small vole. Eating small bites, he bacame absorbed in his own thoughts.

((Featherstar never said perfect, she said brave and cunning, my old character, Flamestorm, was brave and cunning...))

Featherstar padded out of her den, and yawned. She looked for Mistyrain... but didn't see her. "River, do you have any idea where Mistyrain is?" she asked in a drowsy tone.

River nodded and stood up. He padded out of the clearing, and darted through the forest. If I was Misyrain, where would I be? he asked himself. slowing down, he walked slowly, absorbed in his thoughts. His ears pricked up as he came closer to the gathering place. Tasting the air, River spotted Misty's scent. He shot through and halted behind her. "Misty! Are you done patrolling?"
