Alana gasped and pulled slightly away. "W-what? How could thi happen?" she gasped. "The one guy I like and he turns out like this?!" she didn't mean to sound mean but she was stunned and shocked.

Emmett dropped his arms. He knew this would happen. He turned away and kicked a tree. "Dang it! I knew this would happen!" He yelled at himself. Gathering himself together again, he turned to Alana. "I understand." He barley whispered. "You can go if you want. I can't stop you."

Alana tried to calm herself but her eyes were wide. "S-sorry, but it's not every day a cute boy that a girl really likes turns out a vulture!" she almost whispered. "I wont leave... I am jusr freaked out..." she told him glumly.

Emmett half smiled for a fraction of a second. "Yea. I said the same thing when my father told me what I was, what he was." He sighed. "You just need some time then. I get that. My only question is if you will still go out with me....." He murmered.

"Still?" she giggled and playfully pushed him back. "Emmet, you never asked me out!" she laughed. "But I'll go out with you!" she smiled her sweet, crooked smile.

Emmett beamed. "Oh right. I forgot. Well, " He put his arm around her. "I'm just glad you can stand being near me, knowing the truth, and not run away screaming." He said with a chuckle, but there was worry in his eyes

"Yah!" she smiled, but deep behind those beautiful, cheerful eyes were fear and hurt. But she sat there and took it... She couldn't make him feel heartbroken... He just ate animals, thats all, although she was a vegitarian, it was fine... Or so she thought...

Emmett closed his eyes. "Your scent smell very nice. Like strawberry." He uttered under his breath. His eyes flew open. "Wait, back up, did you call me cute?"

"Thanks and no!" Alana blushed and closed her eyes. "I called you... erm... pute...?" she said questioningly.

Emmett burst out laughing. "Okay! I'm putey then!" He said with a huge grin on his face

"Oh, I am so dumb!" she laughed as she sank her face into her arms which were perched on her knees. All of a sudden, out of no where, Lady came running up to her and jumped on her. "AHHH!" Alana screeched and jumped up. She turned to see Lady and she scooped her up. "Lady!" she scolded while laughing.

Emmett smiled. "She should meet Pretzel. He's my beagle."

Alana smiled slightly. "A beagle, eh? Lady would like that! She LOVES other dogs! She once tried to play with this hostile dog that was trying to rip her apart! Thats how much she loves dogs!"

Emmett laughed. "I wanna see that! No, wait, I don't. I don't want her to die."

Alana smiled. "It's OK! I understand what you mean, it was so funny!" she giggled.

(Lady really does try to get to a dog that hates her. The dog lives accross the street in the back alley behind my house and Lady always trys to get to the dog! XD )

Emmett looked at the sun. It was finally setting into the horizon. "You must be tired." He muttered.

Alana nodded, her eyelids closing. She sat on the ground, but soon fell over,asleep...

Emmett slowly picked her up and sat her up on the horse. Getting on quickly, Emmett put his arms around her and grabbed the reins. Squeezing his legs, the horse went to a smooth lope.
