Cross smiled back; it was a somewhat toothy grin but with a playful look in her eyes. She shook herself off and then leaped up onto a rock that was poking out of the water, her attention now on Noel.

Eclipse let out a howl of approval. She gave Cross a delited glance, congratulating Cross.

Cross smiled slightly as she stepped up, dipping her head after Noel had finished speaking. "Thank you," she replied quietly, placing her paw on one of the slippery rocks. Suddenly, it felt different... akin to her. But how...? This was strange. But maybe it would give her good experience. Sometime, she would test this power out...

Eclipse sighed and left.

((What? Guh.
But at least now I get what that means.))

Cross shook herself off as she stood up, heading patiently out of her den. After scenting the air for a moment, she turned to face Dasher, giving him one more look. He seemed rather anxious... about something. But there was no time to talk. Her golden eyes rested on him for a bit more. She thought, He's the one who helped me get this. It's because I helped him. As she turned to leave, her blue and sky fur flowing in the wind, she shook her head to herself. My life is suddenly so confusing... It seemed like only a second before she reached Noel. When she suddenly stopped moving, only the crickets could be heard... it was suddenly so silent. Cross waited patiently, examining the cave entrance behind Noel.

Noel looked at cross. "Come" she said, walking towards the waterfall.

Instantly, Cross followed towards the waterfall, but was sure to stay calm and graceful. She didn't want to seem immature at this important moment...

"Now, we have to swim across the waterfall. I know it sounds weird, but trust me, You'll thank me later" noel said, flicking her ears to the ice cold water in front of her.

Eclipse watched them sadly. She wanted to go as well, but stopped and disappointedly watch them go without her. She sighed and continued to watch them go into the ice water.

Onidori nodded to Noel. "Is it possible for me to fly across?" he questioned.

Eclipse paused. "Noel, can I COME with you and Cross? I asked politly.

Cross nodded, dipping her paws into the water, iced cold by nighttime. Reluctantly, she took a deep breath and forced herself in, shivering wildly as she pushed herself through the frigid current. "It's fr-freezing," she huffed, but knew that she had to keep moving in order to get to the other side -- and stay warm.

"Sorry, no. this is a sacred event that can only be watched by the alpha." she told eclipse and onidori through mind-speak. Noel led cross to the waterfall. "Follow me through the waterfall. It may be alot of pressure, but a medicine wolf put magic on it so we may cross" she said, trotting through the waterfall. ((theres like a cave behind the waterfall if you go through it))

Eclipse watched them go and shrugged. She padded off. Where was Daasher?

Dasher was in his den by the waterfall. "Eclipse!" he whimpered as he saw her walk past.

Quickly, Cross flexed her front paws, ready to jump in... all of a sudden, she burst through with all the power she could muster. As her pads stopped scraping against the stones, she realized that she was in a dark cavern. "Where are we?" she asked herself, although she was also talking to Noel.

Noel looked at cross and then to the middle of the cave. There, a crystal stood. "Touch your nose to the crystal. It will give you your powers, altough, it will make you fall asleep for a while." Noel said.

Cross nodded, shaking. Cautiously, she stepped up to the bright blue crystal, her steps wobbly from tension. As she touched it, the grasp of the sleep it was giving her were startling, and so cold they seemed to freeze her to her very bones. She gave a startled yelp, but fell to the floor slowly, falling into sleep.

Noel watched her and then smiled. "She deserves it. The powers....." noel muttered as she walked back to her den. Noel was excited to see cross when she awoke with her new powers.
