Book One
Spirits of the Nile
Prologue
Have you ever believed you were an animal before you were born? I have...I believe I, Lillian Rose, would be a snow owl. I never knew why, but I have a special bond with snow owls. But I don't think it's logical...but...maybe.... And that is the thought that started our journey.
Chapter 1:
I yawned and got out of my bed, stepping on one of my brother's toys. "Ow! Jase, pick these up!" I leaned through the door. My brother Jason was leaving his sharp toy trucks everywhere. I can't wait til he grows up!
I walked into the living room, plopping onto the couch next to Jason. "Pick your toys up!" I told him.
"why?"
"Cause they almost broke my foot!"
"Sorry, Lilly."
I got up. "Mom, I'm going to go bird watching!" I hollered.
"K, dear!"
"Bye!" I ran out the door, the could, damp grass against my bear feet felt good. I went to the neighbors yard and threw a pine cone at the left window of the second story. "Krissy, hurry up! The convention is starting soon!" I hollered once more.
Kristin --my friend that was a brunette, freckle face-- came out.
