I used to be a huge Dinonerd in elementary school. So when I saw this I squeaked and ran to my room to find my Dinosaur dictionary. You know what I realized? You know how "Tyrannosaurus" means "tyrant lizard" or "lizard king"? Saurus/saur IS the suffix for lizard, so whenever you see a dinoSAUR name ending in 'saur/saurus", you can bet the Latin meaning is "_____ lizard". Then "odon" or variants of it mean "tooth" (Iguanodon, Hypsilophodon). Then "ceratops" or "tops" usually has something to do with horned face or face. I'm such a genius.


ANYWAYS, I named myself after Ilokelesia, or "flesh-eating lizard" in Mapuche Indian. Found in Argentina, around the late Cretaceous. Families Saurischia, Theropoda, Ceratosauria, Abelisauridae. It's speculated that it's a close relative of Carnotaurus.
