Let me get my book-o-stories, and I'll edit real quick and tell you all!

Ah, here we go. "Narcissus and Echo".

Of all the nymphs of river and wood, a dryad named Echo was the best beloved. She was not only very beautiful and very kind, but had a haunting musical voice. The other dryads and naiads and creatures of the wood begged her to sing to them and tell them stories--and she did. She was a great favorite of Aphrodite who used to come all the way from Olympus to chat with Echo and listen to her tales. Being goddess of love, she was especially concerned with gossip--which is mostly about who loves whom and what they are doing about it. And Echo kept her entertained like no one else could.
Aphrodite said, "All the world asks me for favors, Echo. But not you. Tell me, is there not someone you would wish to love you? Some man, boy, god? Just name him, and I will send my son Eros, who will shoot him with his arrow, and make him fall madly in love with you."
But Echo laughed, and said, "Alas, sweet Aphrodite, I have seen no man who pleases me. And gods are too fickle. Man and boy--I look at them all very carefuly, but none seems beautiful enough to match my secret dream. When the time comes, I shall ask your help--if it ever comes."
"Well, you are lovely enough to demand the best," said Aphrodite. "On the other hand, the best happens only once. And who can wait so long? However, I am always at your service."
Now Echo did not know this, but...


OKAY, KNOW WHAT, THIS IS A LONG STORY SO I'LL SHORTEN IT.

Echo helps Zeus when Hera goes looking for him, then Hera comes back and gets mad at Echo for tricking her. And Hera makes it so that Echo repeats the last words that were said to her. Then Narcissus comes running along, and is very vain,but she loves him, but she can't really talk right so he gets mad. Then Echo prays to Aphrodite to just end her pain, so she disappears. Then Aphrodite takes revenge on Narcissus by making Echo's reflection in the water, and Narcissus sees it and falls in love with her. But she only repeats the last words he says, and disappears, and he stays there, staring until he becomes PART OF THE EARTH HIMSELF--a flower. XD

The story is about some handsome guy who this water nymph falls in love with. When he looks in her river he says, "What about beautiful face," even though he's talking about himself. Eventually he stays there forever looking at his reflection in the water and dies, where the nymph makes a beautiful flower after him.
The end.

MORAL: If your name sounds a lot like 'Narcasistic', stay away from mirrors.

My mom told me that he stared at his reflection in a pond all day, and eventually he fell in and drowned...

I dunno, I got it from a book.
And if he fell into the water the nymph probably would save him, considering that that was her river and she was in love with him. But ya never know.

Anyway, back on topic: I love cherry blossoms, they're cute! :D

Oh, yeah. I knew there was something about a greek Narsissus or whatever but I never knew the actual myth.

But anywho. Cherry blossoms are a YES :]

Also, one of my friends from Thailand told me "naruto" is a kind of Japanese noodle or something, which I got a kick out of.

Some sort of dish. I've heard it defined as "fish cake" but I'm not completely sure. :P

I'm also named after a character in Animal Crossing, since I originally named this Pokémon character after a blue cat named Rosie in AC, but now I see them as completely different.

And apparently Branch named herself after the same flower as me. Woo Roses! ^o^

Not really. It's hard to explain if you haven't watched Naruto, but the simple way to put it is that she was injected with something that allows her to transform. But she usually stays normal. :)

EDIT: It's interesting that you would put it as a cat, though. Now that you mention it, she does look a bit feline in Second State... :D

Speaking of which, there are werecats in Eragon :D right now I can only think of two, and I can't even remember their names -.-
