= JointClan = Part 7- Returning trouble

"Do you want to hunt or fight train?" Fernstar asked.

Branch grinned at Maroon. "Wassup?" She asked.

Maroon shrugged. "Nothing Branch. Why?"

"I dunno. I'm bored, and you sighed, so I was wonderin' why." Branch explained, shrugging.

Maroon smiled. "Thanks. I just mis my sister. I wonder where she is." He sighed again.

Branch nodded. She didn't have any siblings, and didn't know who she was related too. She would soon find out. "Don't feel bad, Maroon, I don't know where my Dad and Mom are." She smiled.

"You got it," Fernstar said, she flicked her tail, motioning for Dewpaw to follow her out into the forest.

Shadowheart saw Brackenheart as he limped stiffly to camp. "Your okay?" He asked. Fur near his neck was ruffled, on account of Mellowstar bringing him down the tree by his scruff. He smelled of MellowClan, he totally knew it.

Brackenheart turned around to see Shadowheart. "Where were you?" he asked indifferently.

"You smell like MellowClan," Larchstar added harmlessly.

Shadowheart closed his eyes for a long moment, and then opened them. He had been pretty reckless, slipping in that tree. And then to have MELLOWSTAR save him? That was embrassing.
"Do I REALLY have to say..?" He asked innocently, and awkwardly.

Dewpaw bounded after her mentor, eyes gleaming, into the forest.

((Darn it, I wish I wasn't broke. Maybe I can convince my parents.. Or maybe I'll just sick Mellowstar on 'em/ xDD))

Fernstar stopped, once they reached dense forest. She smelled mouse, and wanted to see if her apprentice smelled it to. And then, she would see what Dewpaw knew about stalking,

Dewpaw wondered why they had suddenly stopped. Her eyes chased the shafts of sunlight that dappled the ground, waiting for her mentor to give her instruction. Then she realized her mentor was watching her. Then she heard a scuffling sound. Realization hit her. She sniffed the air, pinpointing the location of her prey, but by the time she had gotten into her crouch, the mouse had already spotted her. It darted in the other direction. Dewpaw leaped, giving a last attempt at catching it, but it had already dissapeared by the time she had landed.

"Mouse dung," she exclaimed, turning back to her mentor.

Branch nodded. "Maybe you'll find her, I mean, who knows who we might find!" She grinned.

Fernstar smiled. "That was a good try, and a pretty good crouch too!" She said.
"Don't worry about not catching it, Dewpaw," Fernstar also added, "I even miss my prey sometimes, I know Branchstar did to." She grinned.
Fernstar scented the air again. Another mouse..
"Dewpaw, whatcha smell?" She asked.
