"Why did you leave?" Stripepaw asked in his mind softly, and Branchstar watched sadly. "Stripepaw, you really should go back to the Clan.." He said softly to his son.

Amberheart didn't here Stripepaw, she didn't know her powers were fading.

Stripepaw heard his dad, but it fainter then usual. "I don't want to.. Now your both gone.. "Stripepaw thought, and Branchstar heard him, and sighed. He didn't know it, but Stripepaw and Amberheart were loosing their power.s

"Somehow, we need to help!" Rainpaw exclaimed. "It's for our Clan! We need to kill Stormwind!"

Stripepaw raced back to camp, and heard Rainpaw's words. "You can't kill Stormwind.." He paused, he's my grandfather, he thought, and continued. "He's gone, and so is A-Amberheart." Stripepaw stammered softly.

"Why not? He's caused so much peril to the Clan!" Rainpaw retorted. "Isn't it the warrior code to protect and defend your clan even at the cost of your life?"

"We just can't." Stripepaw said through gritted teeth. His eyes were daggers. "And I'm well aware of the warrior code."

Stormwind looked at his daughter. "Why did you want to leave?" He asked quietly.

Stripepaw cast one last look at Rainpaw, and stalked off, tearing up the grass with his claws near the fresh-kill pile. He looked up at the sky, it was slowly darkening, and he was sure StarClan was watching.

Amberheart looked at him. "StarClan told me about this day..a cat I know, would tell the Clan. I don't know who it is, but I figured it out. They said I was related to them and they would betray me." She gulped. "It happened before I came out to see you with Stripepaw. It-It was-" She stared at him. "The rogues." She whispered. "Mellowheart was with them, and-and so was..." She looked away. "A traitor I know." She stood up. "A cat I know I'm also related to."

"Who was it?" Stormwind asked softly.

Stripepaw looked at the stars starting to shine in the sky. Why was nothing fair anymore? Why? He tore up more grass. "Branchstar? Amberheart?" He wondered in his mind, trying to reach them, but no response came.

Amberheart looked at him. She was crying. "S-Scarstar and Cl-oudpaw." She whimpered. "Cloudpaw tackled me at battle. He made all my scratches."

"Cloudpaw and Scarstar." Stormwind repeated, his voice was soft and saddened. "I thought Scarstar helped JointClan against Mellowheart." He didn't say Mellowheart and him, "And Cloudpaw.."

Stripepaw stared at the sky, and a single shiny tear fell down his cheek. His parents were gone, they weren't coming back. The rest of his siblings were curled up in the apprentice den, and the Clan was slowly retreating to their dens.

Amberheart nodded. "Cloudpaw was not himself. He-He was controlled somehow. Scarstar, did something, Cloudpaw is in BloodClan as a captive."

Stormwind nodded slowly. "Is, now? Or is going to be?"

Stripepaw tried to reach his parents again, but it was no use. He looked around the empty camp, everyone in their dens, and blinked sadly, and sighed.

Amberheart nodded. "Now."

Stormwind nodded. "Can't we get him, save him somehow?" He asked.

Stripepaw padded to the apprentice den, and noticed his big lump of fur brother, Cloudpaw wasn't there, everyone else was. "Hm." He sniffed the air..

Amberheart shook her head. "No..."

"You're sure?" Stormwind asked, looking at the sky.

Stripepaw looked around, Cloudpaw was gone. Well, Amberheart probaly wouldn't care, he was going to find him himself. He dashed out of camp, and scented the air, he scented his brother! He followed his trail.

Amberheart nodded and sniffed. She caught a trail of Stripepaw.

Stormwind smelled it too. "What do you think he's up too?" He asked quietly.

Stripepaw didn't relize that he crossed the border into BloodClan. He stopped, and sniffed the air again.

Ambberheart sniffed. She froze. She bolted up and dashed toward BloodClan border.

Stormwind followed swiftly.

Stripepaw froze as well, hearing things behind him. He spun around, only to see Amberheart and Stormwind. It felt like his heart was being pierced with a thorn, over and over and over again. "What do you want?" He asked, trying to keep his voice calm. "If you want to know, I'm looking for my brother, I, unlike SOME people, care about my family." He said, and sensed that had a double meaning. Amberheart and Branchstar, had looked at each other weirdly before he died, and Wolfstar.. It was just weird.
