Fernstorm saw Amberheart. "Hi!' She said.

Amberheart padded up. "Do you two want to go hunting?" She asked.

Fernstorm smiled. "Sure!"

Branchstar growled deeply. "Don't tell me about my own mate and MY kits." He said, furious.

Amberheart smiled and padded into the forest.

Wolfstar looked at Branchstar. "I have an idea." He said, and Branchstar calmed down. "What KIND of idea?"

aMBERHEART SNIFFED.

Fernstorm scented the air softly.

"Whoever wins her.. Her attention and such, gets her." Wolfstar said. Branchstar considered a moment. "Fine."

Amberheart heard a rustle. She quicky stalked and pounced, killing the vole swiftly.

Fernstorm smelled some mouse, and crouched down low.

Wolfstar stalked away. Branchstar sighed, and looked at his kits, who were playing in the camp center.

Amberheart waited. "AS soon as he catches something we'll go back." She said. Her voice muffed.

Toothfang nodded. Just then, a crow landed on a low branch. He swiftly jumped and grabbed it. It was dead in seconds.

Fernstorm smiled. "That was quick."

Branchstar layed in his den, his mood dampened and his anger fierce.

Amberheart nodded and padded back to camp. She dropped her prey and walked around boredly.

Wolfstar saw Amberheart come in, and padded up smoothly. "Hey! Where were you?" he asked, smiling.

Branchstar saw Wolfstar talking to AMberheart and sighed, jumping down and toward his kits. Cloudkit came bounding up. "Loko what I can do, Dad!"

Amberheart stood up and smiled. "Hunting." She answered. "i'm going to watch the kits. Would you like to join me?" She asked.

"Sure!" Wolfstar said, smiling wider.

Cloudkit jumped ontop of Stripekit, and pinned him down. Cloudkit smiled. "See?" He asked, and Branchstar smiled. "Thats great, Cloudkit!"

Amberheart padded over. "Cloudkit, nice job!" She commented, seeing what he did.

Cloudkit beamed, and let Stripekit up. Branchstar noticed that Stripekit wasn't as playful and active as the others, who were boucing around playfully. Stripekit went into the nursery den.

Wolfstar smiled. "Thats really good, Cloudkit!" Wolfstar said, his voice almost fatherly.

Cloudkit smiled.

Stripekit went into the nursery den, and layed down, quiet, unlike the others.

Branchstar took one look at Wolfstar, gave a mopy and sad face and drifted off, thinking of Stripekit.

Amberheart watched Branchstar leave before following. "Are you okay?" She asked.

Branchstar looked at Amberheart. "Yeah.. I'm fine." He said, looking strangely like the old Branchstar.

Amberheart sighed then shrugged. She padded over toward Wolfheart and watched the kits quietly.
