Dani felt the heat rush to her cheeks as she pulled out her sketchbook. She handed it over slowly, giving up. "I'm not very good... I don't think you'll like them..." she explianed slowly.

Marlin's fingers slowly turned each page. "On the contrary," he said, looking at the extraordinary pictures. "I think you have done quite well with these."

Dani blushed even more. "You really think so?" She asked softly.

Marlin's green eyes looked up at her under his lashes. "Yea." He said, looking back at the sketches. "You must have been drawing a while then?" He held out the sketch book for her.

Dani took the sketchbook from him and smiled. "Thanks, I've been sketching since I was in elementry scool," she said thoughtfully, "I've been trying to get better ever since..."

"You're pretty good already." Marlin said. "Aw crap," He said, looking at a clock. "I gotta go water the crops again. Um.... I'll see you around." He mumbled the last sentence before going out the door.

Dani sighed as Marlin left, and then got back to her sketching as she waited for more customers. She could tell this would be a slow day, as the town was very small. ((Like my new avatar? xD))

Marlin walked slowly to Vesta's farm. All he could think about was Dani. Her hair. Her eyes. Everything. There was a feeling growing inside of him that he couldn't explain.

(Sorry for the taking so long. I had some.... health problems to fix.)

Dani sketched at random for about an hour before she actually looked at what she had drawn. Marlin's face was etched out clearly on the page before her. Her eyes went wide with embarrasment and she tore out the paper to crumple it up and throw it away. She couldn't understand why or how she thought of Marlin; a friend? Or maybe more? She put away her sketchbook for now and only thought of his face while she waited for another customer.

As Marlin watered the cucumbers, Dani's face came into his mind again. He saw her big smile and the crinkles at the end of her eyes. He smiled to himself, but pondered over his feelings for the new girl in town.

Jake ran towards Dani's shop. It was a warm day and he entered Dani's shop, "Hey, I came by to get-" That's when he looked up and saw her. "Erm..." he suddenly felt uncomfortable.
