"Beautiful." Jacob said sarcastically. "My friend is a lavalamp." He laughed smiling weakly jealouse of her new power.

Violet became angry and the light brightened. She was testing to see if Jake's emotion power could tame the light.

Jacob noticed what she was doing. He made her think of happy things that had happened in her life. The penpal letters. Him. Atleast he hoped.

Violet tried to shake the thoughts, but she got this sickening warm, gooey, feeling inside. She wreatched and turned back into her normal self, "Oh my word, That was the most unpleasent thing I have ever seen. I have never been so freakin' happy. Yuck."

Jacob laughed. "You need it." He said hoping she wouldn't kill him. "I have a question that I've been meaning to ask you. If the 'safe house' was supposedly safe why didn't we just stay there?" He asked changing his tone to a more serious one.

Violet gave a death glare to Jacob and growled, "You were supposed to."

Jacob felt a lump in his throat. "Now that wouldn't wok would it?" He whispered and turned his back. He hated that she was keeping everything a secret from him. He wished the world would just stop so he would have time to plan everything out for his life. Just when he had finished thinkin about that the world stopped aroud him. A leaf that was falling to the ground was suspended in midair. He took a step. He looked over his shoulder at Volet she was suspended where she was.

Violet was about to say somthing smake-alec back when she froze. She was suspended in the air, her face in a painful growl.

Jacob stared unsure what had happend. He picked the leaf out of the air and put it somewhere else then let everything go back to normal. "That.was.cool." He said staring at he leaf that was floating towards the ground.

Violet unfroze and then started to lash out again, "Why couldn't you have listened? You could've been safe!"

Jacob ignored her not wanting to get in a fight. "You'd be lying here dead" He muttered grumply.

"No, neither of us would have been." Violet mumbled.

Jacob rolled his eyes and leaned up against the trunk of an Alder.

Violet silently cursed to herself and then looked at her watch, "Why is my watch frozen?"

"How would I know?!" Jacob snapped at her hearing the curse.

(It's not actually frozen, It's stopped, you know from Jake messing with time. It never went back to normal.)

Violet invated Jakcob's mind harshly and probably hurt him, she got the information she needed and screeched, "YOU CAN CONTROL TIME?!"

Jacob nodded slowly and made the time freeze for a minute. He walked over to a tree and climbed up it. He let the time start again. "See?"

Violet got up with amazing speed and threw a stick at Jacob's head.

Jacob stopped time and plucked it out of the air and twisted it so the force would direct it towards the bushes behind Violet. He let the time unfreeze and jumped down. He bowed as if it was some amazing act.

Violet glared at him and sat down in front of the fire in a huff. The flames mimked her thoughts and they shaped into Jacob. She blushed and swiped at them trying to make the image go away.

Jacob didn't really notice. He sat down beside her and asked "So. What did I say in my sleep?" He asked hoping it wasn't anything to personal.

"Nothing." Violet stated as the flames transformed into her and Jacob's parents, reflecting what Jacob had really said in his sleep. "I HATE THESE FLAMES!" Violet screamed swatting at them.

Jacob blushed glad he hadn't said anything about Violet.

Violet shook her head angrily and stomped off towards a tree. She swung up in a branch with ease and laid her head against the trunk watching the Sun rise. The yellow and orange lit up the sky like fire and Violet smiled.

"What in the world is wrong?" Jacob asked frowning looking over at her. He hated it when she was mad because it always made him mad.
