Valia~Book 1: A Princess's tale

Runa screamed into her pillow again. She wished her parents were alive, she needed guy advice, but Eamon was like a brother, she didn't consiter him a servant. She picked up her head from the pillow and looked at Eamon. "My life stinks," She said sighing.

"I think I know why. It's ok, Run- I mean Your Majesty," Eamon said, trying not to get anything wrong.

"Good, I'm glad somone does," She smiled at him and said, "Please call me Runa. Your already like a brother to me."

Eamon looked at Runa with a smile, "Thank you, Runa. I really appreciate that."

Runa smiled, "So, what do you think it is?"

"Huh? What do you mean by 'it'?" Eamon asked, confussed.

"Why my life stinks," Runa said frustrated at Edward and Jared.

"Oh, sorry. I think it's... You're alone. You have no one to tell everything to," Eamon geussed. "Am I right?"

"Yes!"Runa said embracing Eamon with a hug, "Urg... I have to get away, a vacation, or something! All this pressure to pick a prince, bla, bla, bla. I am sick and tired of it all!"

"I guess I could see that. It'll be over soon. Something will happen that will overpower the other wanting to be prince. You'll see," Eamon said, hugging Runa. An unexpected tear dripped down his cheak.

Runa hugged him tight. She saw the tear and said, "What's wrong?"

"I... don't exactly know. This happenes sometimes, and I hate it. Sorry," Eamon confessed.

Runa hugged him again, "You are the best friend I could hope for." She smiled and got a devilish grin, "Come on, lets go do something!"

Eamon smiled and nodded. This was nice. Really nice.

((I jjust noticed it's 3:00 AM where I am but I'm still lovin' this.))

((I know! Oh and it's.... *checks time* 4 here.))

Runa grabbed Eamon's hand and rushed down to the knight training area. She drew her emerald swors and said, "Let's fight!"

"I'm not the most fluent with swords," he mumered to himself. "Ok then," Eamon said, ready for whatever he was going to do.

Runa slashed her sword and waved it back and forth. She tripped and fell, landing on top of Eamon and the breath was knocked out of her. She gasped for air as she rolled over on the ground.

Eamon instinctivly got up and held Runa. "You ok?" He asked. He looked at his hand, when he saw the he had a cut across his palm, slightly open.

Runa gasped for air again. She managed out, "Can't breath."

"It's alright, just calm down and you'll be able to breath. It's ok, you'll be alright," Eamon assured.

Runa shook her head, "I can't Breath!" She gasped and then fainted.

"Runa? Runa!" Eamon exclamied. He put his hand over Runa heart. Ba bump, ba bump, ba bump. Good. She just fainted. Eamon carried Runa up to her room and lay her on her bed. Eamon whispered something to soft to be heard, and left. He would check on her tommorow morning and by that time, she would be awake.

Runa woke up a few hours later parched and hungry. She was weak and croaked, "Eamon!"

Eamon arrived at Run's room moments later. "Runa! You're awake!" He quietly exclaimed.

"Yeah," Runa said quietly, "Can you get me some water? And maybe some food?"
