I padded back to camp, a mouse in my mouth, to give to Spider. Its sent filled my nose, and even if it was pretty scrawny, in looked good.

I paced quickly out of my den, a bit bewildered. I had woken up covered in cobwebs. I knew a Shadow had done it, but it was still a bit unnerving.

Shadowstar padded into Spider's den and pulled some of the cobwebs off of her. "I hae those Shadows. Little fools, playing tricks on cats." he huffed, pulling a bundle off of her ear with his teeth.

Shadowstar shrugged. "No, and I'd rather not. As an Elite I roam the firepaths every day. And with a shadow, it might risk it's life crossing at night when those shiny things roar over the firepaths." he said, throwing some cobweb out of Spider's den.

"Yes." I nodded, but inside I was still rolling my eyes. I had always thought the elite were stuck up. But It didn't realy mater. "Be glad, then, Mine, Lilly, she's a mess." I grinned half heartedly. "Much to cocky around Tall Walkers."

I was talking to a Shadow sevearly about running out onto the Fire path when I smelled Shadowstar and dissmissed the cat, just older than a kit, and turned to greet him.

Shadowstar nodded respectfully. "Very well, but I have noticed more of the prey have scattered out of StrayPack's grounds and territory." he announced.

I returned his nod. "Then we'll have to see about expanding, or at least find out what's going on." Hearing another cat come up, a small one, I turned around sharply.

"Star?" I asked slowly, not wanting to out do it. "Have you seen Spider? I kinda need to talk with him."

Shadowstar nodded yet again. Maple and I helped a small kit being chased by a stray cat a few days a-go, and early this morning I spotted a young female padding down the alleyways and brought her to the camp." he chimed.
