Annabelle Jones (Branch) – Water/Electricity
Daughter of a Water Element and an Electric Mutant, Anna has one younger sister that hasn’t shown signs of powers yet, powers straight from her parents.
Alexandria Young (Alley) – Flight/Weather
Daughter of an Avian/Human Hybrid and the Granddaughter of Zeus, Alley has no siblings, powers straight from her parents.
Bree Fields (Bree) – Force Fields/Shapeshifter
Daughter of Two Humans, Father deceased, no siblings, powers coming from encounter with wolves and mind element.
Daniel McGavok (Socky) – Extreme Fighting Skills/Pyrotechnic
Son of Remy McGavok (Once LeBeau) or Gambit, His mother Deceased, and his powers come from an experiment and his father.
Jacob Adams (Suburbia) – Teleportation/Technology

Preface –

In a world where Darkness can coexist with Light, you would think this is a world that is different than our own. But I am here to tell you that it is the same world, only a different time. Nine kids, ranging in ages, have two different abilities that have been passed down from their parents. These abilities originated from many different circumstances, and I am here to tell you what those are.
The first, Annabelle Jones, age twelve, has two parents and a younger sister. Her parents were special, he mother, being a Water type elemental being, while her father was an electrician that got to close to some toxic waste while on the job. This has been passed onto her, and only her, and has given her the abilities to control water and electricity. Anna, (promptly called by her friends), can summon ice and water from anywhere, and make mist and fog move in to cover her tracks. Her electricity power can literally light up the night. She is able to control lightning and technology a limited amount. Anna is very special, being able to have two dueling elements come together in her body.
Next, is Alexandria Young, age fourteen. Alex, (another nickname from friends), has no siblings and lives with her mother and father in Michigan at their cabin rental shop that is on tens of acres surrounding Lake Michigan. The cabins are all separated by the water, so it comes as no surprise to some to learn that she has the ability of flight. Alex can grow cream wings out of her back; a trait coming from her father, who is part avian, from an experiment in his lab gone wrong. Alexandria’s mother is different; she has the ability to control the weather, which she passed onto Alex. Alex’s mother is the daughter of Zeus.
Third is, Bree Fields, a fourteen year old girl, not much different than Alexandria. Bree is an only child and spends most of her time dancing in a studio near her house, but her powers are surprising. Since she has no siblings, you would think that her parents passed the powers down straight to her, but Bree’s case is special. Her two powers are force fields and shape-shifting. Bree has lived her entire life with her mother, her father having died when she was young. Because of this, Bree resented her life for a long time, putting up ‘walls’ around her, and soon, she began to develop the ability to block people out. Until one day she was walking around her backyard and wandered into the forest while her mom was out shopping. While walking around, she stumbled across a pack of wolves. Scared, Bree wished that she could transform, and she did, giving her the temporary ability to talk with them and convince them to let her go.
Then comes Daniel McGavok, a sixteen year old with very interesting abilities. First, you must know that Daniel is quite a nerd, loving all types of comic books, but he adores the X-Men series, which is what made him so happy when he discovered what his father had done when he was young. You see, when Daniel was born, his mother passed away, not telling his father that she was on the run from the government for not paying a certain amount of money. When they came after Danny’s father and the baby, they offered a deal, let them experiment on the child, and they would be free. This is what resulted in Dan’s powers of Pyrotechnics, and his extreme fighting skills. Dan, much like Gambit from X-Men, can make anything a bomb, from a card to a car. His other power is much different, Danny is able to learn any fighting move and be able to do it perfectly without a mistake, even with weapons or a gun in his hand.
Jacob Adams, age fourteen, is number five. Not much is known about him or his background, though it has been heard that he has been to every single country and every single state, city, province in the countries. This might be because Jacob has the power of teleportation, which lets him transform into air particles and pop in and out of different places. This power is paired with the power of technology. Jacob can talk to computers, find any information on them, and create internet whenever he needs it. No matter if a computer if blocked with a password, he can hack it. He is truly special, like everyone else.
Next is James Smith, age sixteen, and Dan’s best friend. James is the most interesting of everyone. His father was Alpha, a superhuman with light abilities, and he married Omega, a super-villain with dark abilities. They produced James, who has both of them combined together, coexisting in his body. James is an only child, so he has formed a bond with Dan, who is the ringleader of a few… pranks in his time. James has a dark side and a light side, along with his powers. When he is angry, he uses his dark powers, and only those. This is vice-versa with his light powers. When James is happy, he will use his light powers, if needed. There are very few things that make James angry though, so it is rare that he shows that side.
Seven is Jay Night, age fourteen. Jay has quite the large family, though they don’t carry the gene. With him being the oldest, and the only one to get the gene, it quite hard to understand. You see, Jay has Super Speed and Fire. The fire is a product of his Father’s doing, you might know him from a movie, his name was Johnny Storm, but he’s changed it since those days. Jay’s Mother’s name is Aurora, her, you just might recognize too. She was a part of the early X-Men, and had a twin brother. Jay’s Fire power is much like his father’s, making him able to shoot it out of his palms and completely ‘flame on’. Though, he cannot use both powers at the same time, his super speed gives him the ability to reach speeds near the speed of light.
The second to last is Lauren Mallory, age twelve, and a true power human. She is the first in her entire family to have developed powers, and she is happy for that. She has a younger brother, and two parents that have lived normal lives, and it came as a surprise to her when she learned she could control the earth and rocks. Lauren, much like someone who might have telekinesis, can lift, alter, and transport rocks and earth to her own will. With the combination power, she can create Earthquakes anywhere in the world, and is not affected at all by physical attacks, because she gains fuel from being on the ground and near plant and rocks. If you fight her near the mountains, worry about a rockslide.
You might be wondering who the last person is, and how I know so much about these people. The last and final person is I. I am Rebecca Grimm, The daughter of Rogue, one of the last true X-men still alive. My father is unknown, but I do know one thing. I got my power absorption from my mother, and my immortality and mind power from him. There are few things I cannot do with my absorption power, being able to be just in the presence of another to take their power; yet, I am cursed with my Mother’s problem. I have to wear gloves, because if I touch you with my palm, I can suck your life force out of you, but all of my powers will grow stronger to the point of being undefeatable. My Mind power is simple, I can read, alter, and speak into a person’s mind. This makes personal conversations between two people and me easy.
The Year is not important, neither is the month or day, but what is happening is. There has been an uprising. People with abilities have always coexisted with the normals since the last uprising, and now, a new villain has come to power, putting thoughts into particularly dangerous Immortal’s heads. My Friends and I have a few weeks to band together and protect our friends and family from the Up-rising and from certain death. Now, I want to know, fellow Immortal, where do your allegiances lie?
Chapter One –

“Mom, I’m going out!” I shouted as I made sure my gloves were on securely. Pulling my long brown hair back behind my ears and throwing into a loose pony-tail, I trotted downstairs and blew a purple chuck of hair that hung in my eyes. My Mom came around the corner and leaned against the wall with a calm expression on her face.
“Rebecca Grimm,” She drawled, her Texan accent coming out even though we had moved away from the south years ago, “Is that McGavok boy going to be there?”
I rolled my eyes, “Mom, my Pyro friend will not set me or any near-by building on fire, and no, he is not related to Remy. Sorry.” She laughed, and waved her gloved hand at the door, allowing me to leave, though it wasn’t like I couldn’t have made her let me go, but that wasn’t exactly morally right to do, considering, well, she was my mother.
Making my way out of our huge estate near the mountains in Oregon, I looked around before muttering, “Jacob, you better get here soon.”
Suddenly, a boy with shaggy black hair and brown eyes popped into view and grinned at me, “Did you call, Ms. Runa?”
I groaned, “Please, refrain from calling me that name.” Truthfully, Runa was technically my ‘superhero’ name, or, alias, because it meant secret in Scandinavian or something, I tried not to use it, it was embarrassing. But Jake insisted on using it, even when we were outside our lair...
Right, Okay, you know how Batman had his lair underneath his house? And Tons of other superheroes always had lairs somewhere? Well, since I’m part of the Immortals, and we’re all friends, we have one place we meet up; it’s in the Canadian Mountains, just because it’s pretty up there. Because none of us can just up and fly there, (Well, Bree and Alley can but…), Jacob transports to all of our houses and then transports us there, and it seemed like, I was always the last one to be picked up, so to speak.
He grabbed my shoulder and we popped out of my yard. There was a pulling sensation like I was about to throw up before my ears popped from the pressure and we landed outside a door in the mountains. I pressed my hand, un-gloved, against a palm reader before the air pressurized safety lock unlocked and swung open. Jacob and I walked through the door before I was met by my friends in our conference room.
The first one that rushed up to me was Bree Fields, my shape shifting/force field friend. To describe her in one word: Dancer. She had a slim built body with feathered dirty blonde hair that always seemed to look windswept, and bright brown eyes that sometimes had a crazy look, like some of the plans she came up with. I glanced at her and then shuttered, she kind of reminded me of a female Dan, and I didn’t know if that was a good thing or a bad thing.
“REBECCA.” Bree stated, loudly and happily, grinning at me, “I NO LONGER AM ADDICTED TO KE$HA!” Suddenly, a song burst through the intercom speakers in the lair and Bree started dancing in circles, “SO I GOT MY BOOTS ON, GOT THE RIGHT ‘MOUNT OF LEATHER, AND I’M DOING ME UP WITH A BLACK COLORED LINER.”
Danny groaned, plugging his ears while wailing, “TURN IT OFF.” He started trying to pull his shaggy brown hair from the roots and closed his blue eyes in pain. “It burns! Not to mention the bleeding coming from my ear! Please, Bree. Not eating bacon for three years would be better than this type of torture!”
James, Dan’s best friend raised his eye brows and ran a hand through his black hair giving Bree an intense look with his green eyes and said sarcastically, “This is serious now, Dan is comparing this to years without bacon, we have a problem on our hands.” Lauren rolled her blue eyes while she walked into the room and pulled her pin straight blonde hair into a ponytail, while Anna, gave everyone a look that said she wasn’t here to joke around with dark chocolate brown eyes and tried to make her poofy brown hair manageable.
I shook my head at them while Alley, the ring-leader of our little rag-tag group came in with her dirty blonde hair streaked with black and cropped short, while her normally bright brown eyes had circles underneath them. As she sat down and everyone made their way to their personal seats, I looked around for my best friend, Jay. “DAD.” I heard suddenly, as the doors opened and Jay walked in, literally flaming from anger, “Leave, now! Your days are over as a part of a superhero group, so it’s time to leave…” He trailed off, coming over to his chair and sitting down.
I looked up at Jay’s dad and tried not to stare, because he was Johnny Storm, part of the Fantastic Four, and still amazing in my eyes, it was strange, knowing that more than just me had parent’s that were ‘super’ or had powers of some sort, but what I couldn’t understand was why only Marvel’s comics were real, maybe the world just preferred Wolverine over Superman. Mr. Night (He changed his name after he married Jay’s Mom, Aurora) stormed out of the room (Hehe, I made a punny) as I sat down in my spinny chair and looked at everyone before Alley called the meeting to order and looked around the table.
“You all know why we are here.” She stated softly, “The world is coming to another war between the Humans and the Supers and this time, I’m afraid we might not survive. There is another Immortal that goes by the name Victor Creed or Säbelzahntiger.” Alley said in a thick German accent, which I didn’t know what it meant, but it sounded evil, and sent shivers down my spine. “Anyway, Victor has something in common with one of us here.” Alley looked directly at me before stating, “He is the descendant of a powerful Mutant that was part of the original Brotherhood.”
I paled, looking straight at Dan, who knew exactly what I was thinking, “Sabertooth,” Dan muttered, his brow furrowing, “Darn it, why can’t one of us be related to the awesome Wolverine?” I sighed, thinking back to the original comics, before James caught my attention. He was fiddling with a piece of paper on the table and muttering something under his breath, but what caught my attention was that his form was glowing in a bright light, hinting that he was about to power up, which tended to be uncontrollable when something was making his emotions go haywire.
Jacob looked at James and paled before looking at Alley for help, if James got mad that someone was after us (which was a slim chance), it would be bad and we all knew that. I felt the air suddenly crackle with electricity as Anna powered up and her hair started to freak out, standing on its ends in her ponytail. James looked up at her with dark eyes before I watched the ethereal light dim and Dan touch his friends shoulder, “Come on, Dude, let’s go get some bacon.” They both stood up and left the room, while Lauren glanced at her friend warily, we all knew Anna was crazy powerful, but she had never scared James into acting right. I just hoped everything was okay.

Three claws shot out of each of his hands as he sniffed the air and looked around. “Ah, lost it again!” He cried out in anger as three woman and two men appeared in the forest behind him. A woman with light brown hair stepped up with it pulled back behind a head-band, like her old suit, while a man mirrored her movements, he had blonde hair streaked with soot and shook it out, like a dog to get the black flecks out, an unfortunate side-effect to his powers.
One of the other women, having jet black hair and dark brown eyes to match had a permanent frown on her face, while her husband had streaked brown hair, that was slowly turning grey prematurely, but he was smiling, and seemed to be glowing with health. The man with the claws had streaked black hair and wild eyes, while the last woman had auburn brown hair and bright green eyes and was staring at him like she was seeing a ghost.
“Come on, Rogue, this isn’t right.” The Human Torch stated, looking at Wolverine’s back, “You know that tracking the kids to their hideout is crazy, as much as I wanted to follow Jay in there, your little kid wiped my mind, now I can’t remember anything!”
Alpha looked at Aurora and rolled his eyes, “Is he always like this?”
Omega frowned, but it wasn’t like she didn’t always wear a permanent scowl, “We are being immature, if our children feel the need to get them selves killed looking for some stupid way to save the mutants for a third time, let them do it. It’ll teach them a lesson.”
Rogue whirled around on Omega and glared, her green eyes mirroring her daughter’s perfect glare, “Don’t you dare go there!” She shouted in a thick Southern accent, “If our children get involved in this war, we won’t know who will survive! Or if anyone will!”
Wolverine turned around and glared at everyone, “Rogue is right, we have to track Saber tooth and his little son down before something happens. I don’t care what any of you think, but I’m going to keep tracking him until I die.” The black haired man’s claws retracted back into his skin while he ran a hand through his hair and looked at everyone, “Either we’re all going to cooperate with each other, or I’m leaving again.”
“I don’t think that’s a good idea, Logan,” A thick French Voice stated stepping closer to the tight knit group, “I mean, you all have Remy here now, Cherie,” He kissed Rogue’s gloved hand and stepped away, “Your daughter would kill me, not to mention my son if he knew.”
Rogue chuckled, “I just think it’s amusing she hasn’t realized that Dan is your son yet. Living in denial isn’t as blissful as it seems. I learned that the hard way.” She fingered the white piece of hair in the front and looked at everyone, “Then we’ve all silently agreed, we don’t let our kids out of our sights until this Mutant War is over with. Correct?”
The Human Torch let loose a horrible swear word and looked up into the sky, “I think we’ve already failed at that task.” Alley shot across the sky with tawny brown speckled wings extended, while she held Dan and James with one arm each while Bree followed as a huge white Gryphon with Jay and Rebecca on her back. Lauren and Anna were making do by Anna floating on a current of electricity while Lauren sat on a brown rock and floated across the sky happily.
Logan groaned and watched the kids leave the area before his claws shot out of his hands again and he crossed them in an ‘X’, “We ready to hunt down some mutants?”
“Rogue mutants,” Gambit clarified, looking at his son’s fading body, “And oui, I am.” Omega and Alpha nodded in unison while The Human Torch and Aurora just gave a silent yes, while Rogue looked into the forest and suddenly took off her glove, and flexed her worn hand before slipping it back on and nodding along with her old friends.
“I’m ready,” She whispered thickly watching as Logan raced into the forest without another word, followed by Aurora with her super speed and Johnny in a flaming blur. Omega melted into the shadows, while Alpha brightened up to a light so harsh that Rogue couldn’t look at him anymore. Gambit and her exchanged a look, before he pulled out a card and flipped it around in his hand. Rogue smirked, “I guess it’s time for some card tricks. But we get to play first.” He threw the card and a tree blew up, while Rogue ran off into the forest to follow the rest of the team.
Their children would not fight Victor and his son alone, even if that meant it was over the adults dead bodies. But that was the thing Rogue was worried about, Rebecca still didn’t know… something, and that worried her more than anything in the world, good thing the girl wasn’t headed to any airports anytime soon.
Chapter Two –
"What do you mean we aren't strong enough?!" Jay shouted at me. I flinched backwards, rubbing my forehead with my hands before crossing my arms and leaning against the mats that hung on the training room walls. Sighing, I watched my breath fan out in front of me, like I was smoking a cigarette. Yuck, I'd never had one, nor did I ever want to taste one. He glared at me, stalking towards me with flaming eyes. Jay rarely got angry with me, but when he did, it usually had to do with me being stubborn.
Snorting, I uncrossed my arms and gave him a blank stare, "We aren't. You know that. I know that. The entire WORLD knows that, Jay. As a group sure, we're pretty strong, but up against an entire nation's worth of mutants, with powers that we couldn't counter in our wildest dreams? No. We CAN'T. There's no possible way that we could even attempt it without having to go ahead and make a deposit on our grave." After James and Dan had scuttled off to our kitchen to fix some bacon, Jay had pulled me aside too offer me one of the craziest plans I've ever heard. He wanted to take on Victor and his creepos all by ourselves. Uh, can I get a NO?
Jay glared at me, moving forward, "We can do it. Don't you dare tell me we can't. Most of us have powers that no one else can rival except our PARENTS. You realize that you're just scared that we're going to find out too much for our own good if we actually look into some of this stuff!" His arms were flickering with tiny flames, mostly contained to his fingertips and hands. I turned to look to the side and swallowed harshly.
"This discussion is over, Jay." I muttered, walking past him, but not before swiping my hand across his and feeling energy surge through my body. Suddenly, I felt like I was boiling, and Jay was shouting behind me. I could feel his head pounding from the headache. I had stolen his powers, of course, he was going to be more than mad at me later, but he would thank me... In about two years, after he cooled down. I just didn't want him doing anything... too... rash. Of course, me stealing his powers wasn't really the prime example of what you should do, but I was babbling too much.
Walking out of the training room, I stalked down the hall and blew out a frustrated breath before entering the conference room and was met by a very peeved Dan and James. Dan had a piece of bacon in his hand, and he was glaring at me like he was about to kill me. "What now?!" I shouted, glaring at every, Alley, Anna, Lauren, and Bree behind the two guys, but what really killed me was that Jacob was giving me a stern look from a little behind Dan and tossing a piece of metal back and forth from his hands. I heard the door open behind and whirled around to see Jay walking pointedly towards me, looking pale.
"Give Jay back his powers." Dan stated, making me turn back around to face him and raise an eyebrow.
"You know very well that they don't work that way. It's a one way deal. I take, I don't return. Wait an hour, and maybe he'll be able to light a match." I growled back sarcastically, giving my friends a pointed look. "And besides, I don't really appreciate the glares. What have I even done to you all? I was making a point in the training room. One that I didn't mean for you guys to spy on through the security cameras. There was a point it was a conversation between Jay and I. It's OUR fight, not yours."
Suddenly Alley broke into laughter, "Your fight. Right, because it doesn't pertain to all of us here. Everyone here is an Immortal, Rebecca, you aren't kidding anyone. You can't just protect the world. Nor can you hide and expect someone not to come after you. We're facing an uprising and you don't want to leave the hideout! What is your problem? It's one guy, one BOY. We could all take him down in our sleep. What does he have that we don't? What aren't you telling us?"
I groaned in frustration before going to sit down in my chair and feeling my hands start to flame up. Anna slammed her hand down next to mine and iced it. Searing pain shot up my arm as I broke the ice off of it and muttered under my breath. Lauren sat down beside me and smirked, "Just in case you decide to try and bolt before we can torture your information out of you." A rock slammed down behind my chair, making it impossible for me to move unless I somehow blew it up, which, I wouldn't be able to unless I could reach Dan, and he didn't look like he was going to let that happen.
"We're doing this our way, Rebecca. Majority rules." Jacob stated, giving everyone a look before taking a deep breath, "We've all decided that we're going to D.C. to see if Hank is there. If he is, then we can talk to him and see if he's heard anything of the old Brotherhood members getting back together... To generally take down the world." It all seemed stupid to me. We were Immortals, meaning that no matter if there was an uprising, and no matter how powerful we all were, we would never be able to take down someone like Sabertooth or Lord forbid, Magneto, if he showed up.
"Fine." I snapped, lunging across the table and swiping my hand across Dan's arm before feeling my limits reach their highest peak. Turning around, I placed my hand on the rock Lauren had created and blew it to pieces, the shards scattering across the floor. "We're going to need people to transport us there. Alley, Bree, Lauren, Anna, you all know what to do." I turned to look at Jacob and scowled, "I better see you in D.C. as soon as we land, or Lord help me, I will track you down." He saluted me before there was a tiny POP and he was gone. Alley smirked before she hit a button on the control panel and the ceiling opened up. As I looked back at her, she had huge tawny brown wings and was leaping into the air, holding onto Dan and James. Why did I get myself into these messes?

Roughly, Victor guessed that his theme song would be something cool, hard rock maybe... but a Britney Spears song? Facebook seriously needed to get new quizzes, because he got very bored when there was no one to generally terrorize and no one to kill. Besides, all of his little minions and people were out doing something important that he had told them to do hours ago, but they were just now getting around to it. The door to the underground lair opened an a girl swept in, her hair piled onto of her head in a bun and her eyes hidden by glasses, "You wanted to see me, Victor?"
"Rachel!" Victor stated happily, "Rachel Summers, Scott Summer and Jean Grey's daughter, I will never get over how weird it is knowing that our parents used to fight... and now look at us, on the same side... The RIGHT side." He sighed in contentment and gave the girl a smile, "You said you have some news for me?"
She merely nodded, before grinning at him, "I have word from a very reliable source that the parents of a certain group of kids our age have decided to try and take down our little operation. What do you say we give them a run for their money?" Rachel grinned diabolically before sighing and then frowning, "I just wish we could have a little fun with Alley and her lot before their parents came and ruined all our fun."
"Now, now..." Victor mumbled, frowning at Rachel, "Don't have a mind-set like that, or we might just loose!" The idea was insane of course, with all the power they had in their grasps, it would be almost impossible to stop the revolution after everything was snapped into place and it was set into its final motion. Victor knew though, that there was a slight chance that Rebecca Grimm and her band of merry little Immortals would come barging in and save the day, like they had heard of their parent's doing in their glory days. He scoffed at that idea.
Rachel sighed and then sat herself down on Victor's desk, looking at him pointedly, "I know... But think about it Victor... I mean... If we don't prepare and if you don't tell me what your plans are and keep them in that head of yours-" She tapped his forehead, giving him a wicked smirk, "-then we'll never know if it's good enough to defeat all the good-two-shoes mutants out there and wipe out all those pesky humans. I hate humans." She sighed at the end, rolling her eyes, "They're all weak and pathetic."
"You get to the point about as quickly as your father used to..." Wolverine muttered waltzing into the room, followed by Rouge and Gambit, then Aurora and Torch, finally Alpha and Omega. He, unfortunately, didn't have his claws out, but just the same, Victor growled defensively and stood up from his position in his chair.
"You have no right coming in here and insulting us. Get out. Now." He cracked his knuckles ready for a fight and stepped forward and down from the platform his chair and desk were on. "None of you are allowed to be here, I promise I had security on this." Victor growled, glaring at the large group of adults.
Logan rolled his eyes and let out a short laugh, "Gosh, you are an idiot to think that some guards could keep us from coming here, Victor. They've been tied up for at least ten minutes, and no one has a chance of finding them until we're long gone and you're... well long dead." He threw his hands to the side, the three metallic claws on each hand whipping out and making a clinging sound.
"Try and fight me, Uncle and find yourself thrown across the room." Victor hissed glaring at Wolverine with hatred in his eyes, "If my father were still alive, I'd let him handle you himself, but since he was killed by Humans, I have revenge to seek, and it's not with you, or any of your friends."
Rouge stepped forward, her eyes a deep and piercing green, "Just because your worthless excuse for a father was killed by humans, doesn't mean that the entire race needs to be wiped from the planet. You're insane if you think that anyone is going to let you get away with this!" Victor smirked while Rachel grinned.
"That's just it, you see," Rachel whispered, gliding forward as the doors opened behind the adults and guards rushed in, restraining them in chains, "We are going to get away with this... It's possible... Darling... It's possible." She smiled as the pair watched the guards haul them away in power resistant chains, but not before she watched Wolverine turn and glare back at her.
Victor rolled his eyes at the drama and sat back down at his computer, "There was one thing that the Southern Belle said that was right though, Rach."
"And what would that be?" She purred, looking at him with a grin.
He smirked and felt the side of his mouth curl up, "We are insane."
