| Elements of Ours Authors note: This is a RPC storyish thing. But not exactly an agent one, since we have lots of of those. So I decided to mix it up a bit instead! Hope you like. Guide/Explanation: - Spoiler:
Let me explain the way their powers a bit. Each charrie is based off certain RPC members. Each has an element of theirs. For example, if one was water, they could bend, twist, create or form water. Each element has something they are great at. Each element is suppose to be hostile toward the other five elements. There are six in total. Light, Water, Shadow, Earth, Fire and Wind. Saying that, it's kinda what the story is based off. We don't follow the rules. Emotions of the humans that control each element affect how they use their powers, also.
Element List/Characters- Spoiler:

"Mom!" I snapped, shoving a spoonful of cereal in my mouth. "I'm sorry, Lauren. But this is what they want you to do." My mom replied calmly. Yeah. That's my mom. She never got worked up about anything.Even if her daughter is getting shipped of to a far away place where no normal mortal can go. I slammed the milk carton in the fridge and closed the door roughly. "I hate the EB! They expect me to hate all the other elements. I don't. Anne agrees with me." "Don't bring your friends into this." "Too bad. You made me." I retorted, glaring at her accusingly. Mom continued washing the dishes as I threatened her for an argument. "Lauren. They sent a letter this morning. Your leaving this afternoon. It's only for a year, honey. Besides, you've been there before, a ton." She said quietly. Before I could say something smart back, she continued. "Now, go pack up some stuff." She instructed. I stomped upstairs and slammed my door loudly. I hadn't noticed I was playing with my necklace. I glanced down at it. The charm was a sole raindown, with a swirl of water circling around it, kind of. Each water element has one. I turned on the faucet and stared at the water. It slowly bubbled and rose, following me out the door. It's strange, how the water powers work. I could make it get nothing wet, but also drenched someone. I smiled at the fact. The only thing good about this is that I could see all my friends. We've known each other for years and years, since we were fourteen, I suppose. Well, now I'm seventeen. Next year is the age we are dismissed from home and have to live at the EB. EB stands for Element Base. I watched as teh water started packing up my clothes and some belongings. Someone then knocked at my door in a certain pattern. I jumped up. "Anne!" I cried, opening the door. There stood my best friend of all time, with her long, brown curly hair and bright green eyes. I grinned and hugged her. "Hey Vixxy Wixxy!" She greeted, sitting on the edge of my bed. I wrinkled my nose at her. She knew I hated that name. "Why are you here? I thought you were at the EB." I pressed, sitting beside her. "They set me to get you. Something is wrong there. Don't ask me what." "Shoot." I muttered, swatting the water away when it finished my bags. Anne was also a water Mortal, like me. "But it's important enough where they have to gather all of us. They never do, because, well. Yeah." Anne added quietly. I nodded, understanding perfectly. They also kept us RPC friends apart,'cause we broke the rules of Element frirendship. It caused the EB distress. I dunno why. I think we'll become powerful together, working our elements with others, luring Hunters near us. I shuddered and smiled slightly. "Okay. Lets go." I said reluctantly, standing up. The bed shook a little as Anne hopped up and followed me out the door. I had no idea what I had gotten myself into. Chapter Two- Spoiler:
I leaned back in my seat, groaning as my ears popped instantly. "Aw, Shucks Anne, why'd we have to take the plane?" I whined, clearly in a bad mood. Apparently my mood had spread, because Anne looked just as grumpy. "Shut UP. You've been complaining the whole ride! You have to go, no matter what! Besides, you'll be seeing Rebecca for the first time in years. You two are seriously violent. It was smart for the EB to separate you guys." Anne grumbled grumpily. I smiled in spite of myself. It was true. My and Runa were terrifying together. It was hilarious through our eyes, and we enjoyed it a ton. Especially scaring the newbies. I leaned back, remembering the first name me and Runa met. We scared one of the fire kids so much he set the place ablaze. Our best piece of work was when we made a huge flood, full of murky, black water and shadows. We had no idea how we had done that, but it scared the crap out of the leaders of the six element groups. We haven't seen each other since. The plane started to land, waking me out of my daydream. I hopped out of the private jet and smiled at the pilot. "Thanks, Mitchell!" I whispered. He responded with a smile and then disappeared, leaving only a shadow. I followed Anne down the plane steps and toward the EB.
Anne
The Element Base is a pretty cool place, actually, despite my dislike for the rules. First off, no other Element is allowed in other Element corridors, so we RPC friends meet in the main room. So. When you walk in there's a large room, with nothing in it. Branching off it were six corridors. The first one, one the farthest wall had charred remains scattered all over it. Fire. The second one had a blinding light coming from within it. Light. The next one was pitch black, at least, for us. Shadow Elements can see easily. On the right wall, the tunnel closest toward the door as a slight breeze coming from inside. Then there is a hallway by it. this one is blank, because that is where the Chief Leader is. Now, on the right wall is where Lauren and I go. It has puddles and moist walls. I heard Lauren stomping behind me as we trailed down it. She was grumpy about this, especially coming early. We entered the room. It was tall and wide, the walls shimmers with ocean-like wallpaper, that was MOVING. The floor was soaked, but us Water people don't mind wetness. It's like chocolate to us. It's a sight to see. Me and Lauren walked side by side toward the dorm rooms. We shared one, of course. Water levitated through the halls. We ducked and dodged them. It was fun to do that, but not necessary. We knee the younger ones were aiming for us. I had to tug Lauren along. "Come on. It's not very long. We'll be meeting everyone else in the main room, then head down to the Chief." I said, trying to brighten her up. Lauren shrugged, setting her bags on her desk and snapped her fingers. A mass of swirling water started unpacking her things. She watched it with dull interest. "Well, I guess we should go." She said abruptly. I stood up and watched her stalk out of our room. Usually Vix is all bubbly and hyper. I guess she'll get use to staying here again. I certainly feel good. I haven't seen all my friends forever! I followed Ms. Grump out of our corridor and smiled at all our friends as we approached. Lauren brightened up a bit and hugged Rebecca then high-fived Socky, Otter and Jay. She continued her greetings as I went over to talk with Lilly. She looked distressed for some reason. She glanced at me, fearful. "They're coming..." She whispered, her face pale.
Lauren
I was so glad to see everyone. I haven't see Rebecca, Lilly and Grace in forever. Usually when I come here Anne and Bennet are around. Or Danny. Socky and Otter are hard to separate. I went over to give Lilly a hug when I saw her tell Anne something. They both looked deeply concerned and put their heads together, discussing. I walked over curiously. Anne saw me coming and trailed off. "What's up?" I asked, putting my hands in my pocket. "Tell her." Lilly said quietly to Anne. I swallowed, feeling weird all the sudden. Everyone else was whispering, uncertainty all over their faces. "I'm missing something.." I grumbled, biting my lip. It started to bleed a bit. "Chief will explain some of it. But for know, all you need to know is that Lilly thinks someone is after us now, together." Anne explained, glancing at everybody. "We've been, working on something while we waited for you." Lilly piped, smiling slightly and putting a finger to her lips. "Well, what is it?" I demanded, everyone made shushing sounds and snickered. Socky's was the loudest. "It's secret. Not even Chief knows." Anne whispered, grinning slyly. "Tell me!" I whispered excitedly. I hate it when people kept secrets from me. It drives me insane. "We need to go visit the Chief. Now." Lilly said urgently. Anne nodded her head understandingly, and pulled me toward the corridor. Chapter Three- Spoiler:
Arianna
The Chief's room is all too familiar for me. Cool to others though. The Chief- well, isn't that great. He's very serious about all the element rules. That's why he dislikes us, especially me. I give him a bad reputation, apparently. The Chief's daughter should respect him and the rules. Like I'd do that. I prefer my mom over him any day. He's mean to me, and I get no freedom. All I get to do is practice my element training. It's alright, but doing the same things constantly is a little boring. Mom is carefree and joking. She let's me do anything that's safe. Mom's a normal mortal though. I haven't seen her for seven years, thanks to dad. He says she's a bad influence on my training. Yeah. Right. I lagged behind everyone else as he walked down the hallway, our feet echoing loudly. No one said a word. Lauren looked anxious and excited. Maybe a little mad too. I knew she wanted to know the secret. Father doesn't know what we are doing. It's amazing, what we learned. I thought about all the work we had done while Lauren was gone. I smiled at Ellen, my best friend. She didn't seem to notice me, she was busy staring ahead. I looked around, not impressed. The room was huge and nicely decorated, with the six element signs on each wall. I fumbled with my bracelet. The flower charm stood for earth, each of us had one. The flower had six petals, each blue. The middle was a bright yellow. I ignored my father's annoyed glare. It was his way of saying hello to me. I shuffled my feet and stared at the ground. Ellen squeezed my arm and glanced at me. "Ignore him." She whispered in my ear. I nodded slowly and waited for him to speak. "As you all know, I have gathered you twelve to discuss an important matter." The Chief began. "He's as mad as the Hatter." Lauren whispered under her breath. "Someone, or something learned you all get along." he continued, eyeing us wearily. "These people were tracked not far from Fieldsmay." He said. I heard Socky dramatically gasp. I snickered at him. Lilly pinched Danny and he was then quiet and started rubbing his arm. Fieldsmay was a village not far from the EB, where trained and successful Element Mortals live often. Usually they stay there then go marry a normal mortal. "So?" Lauren retorted, glaring at him. "You are all in danger. We received a call yesterday from some unknown person. They demanded for us to send you guys to Fieldsmay. We do not intend to do that, even if you guys violate the laws." He explained. "One other thing..." Chief started, when we all started walking out. "This group has access to each corridor, so you will all be staying In the hall by the water tunnel. It's blocked off to anybody but you all." He muttered, clearly grumpy about this. I grinned and hurried out of there as fast as I could possibly go. I was way ahead of anybody else. When I reached to the Main Room I froze. Two unfamiliar men were standing there. They came closer to me and I frowned and the ground began to rumble, then suddenly everything went black.
Lauren
I was the second farthest person, beside from Arianna, who shot out of there like a bullet. I was halfway down when the ground shook horribly, then instantly stopped. Everyone went silent. Something was very, very wrong. "Arianna!" Ellen whispered and bolted ahead she screamed and I ran toward the ran room. Poor Ellen sat there horrified. On the floor was Arianna's Earth Bracelet and her phone. "Something happened! She never goes anywhere without her bracelet! She's not careless." Ellen said, shaking. I bent down and glanced around. I spotted something on the floor, near Ellen. I picked it up carefully. Lilly frowned at it. "It's one of those medicines that can make our type lose our powers temporarily and become unconscious." She said quietly, deep in thought. "Well. That explains a lot." Rebecca growled. "Someone kidnaped Arianna." She finished. Ellen looked furious and fearful. "I WILL RIP EVERY BONE IN THEIR BODY." She hissed. I shook my head. "That group is like a jabberwocky." I muttered. Anne nudged me in the ribs, telling me this wasn't the time. "Off with their heads, I say!" I added, poking her. "Well. Chief was right. Somebody is after us. And they are serious about it." Grace whispered, glancing around at all my friends. Anne was helping Ellen up, who was still trembling in rage. Eamon poked my shoulder teasingly. I swatted his hand away. "It's time to tell you the secret." He said, looking serious. Rebecca nodded and massaged her shoulders with her hands. "Man. Let's go to that hallway. We can discuss things there." She murmured. I pouted and stalked after her. "I'll be late for tea." I whined. She just shook her head and smiled slightly. Chapter Four- Spoiler:
I just love secrets. Even if they're small ones. If I don't know them and someones keeping it from me, I need to know it, otherwise they'll get a mouthful of water. So, this explains how I felt, following my best buds down that hall. I thought it'd never end. "The EB designed the whole hall. We haven't even seen inside it once." Eamon whispered. We finally came upon a large room, not as big as Chief's, but pretty close. It was rounded. Not a single corner. It was a bit confusing, how it was set up. When you first walk in, they're is a big lounged. Plenty bean bag chairs and fluffy couches for all! A T.V sat on the opposite wall. It would be interesting to watch the fights go on for what channel we watched. On the right wall was a slight opening. I peered through it. It was a kitchen. I opened the refrigerator. Various foods were stocked inside it. Mostly bacon. I grinned slightly at this. Socky would be at home here. I continued to the next opening in this wall. It looked like a blank, empty room. It was no doubt the biggest. Probably where we were expected to practice our powers. Bathroom and supply closets were the rest of the things in the right wall. I turned toward the left wall. It was obvious that was where the bedrooms where. It was a long hall. (If you hadn't noticed, we have a thing for length.) On each side was six doors. Each had our name engraved on it, and the sign of our Element. On the right wall, starting from the closest to the door was Alex, Grace, Me, Anne, Ellen and Arianna. On the opposite wall was Rebecca, Jay, Eamon, Lilly, Danny then Bennet. I decided to peek inside each room, out of pure curiosity. I opened Alex's door slowly. It was about the size of a normally large bedroom. Her walls were painted with trees and nature scenes. Tennis rackets and sport-type stuff were leaning against the walls. A violin was resting on the maple dresser. Her bed was delicately crafted, her bedspread was a light shadow of blue, like her ceiling. The floor had a small white rug laid across it. I closed the door and twisted the doorknob on Graces door. Her room was more computery. Empty picture frames covered her shelves and counters. Her wall was a light shade of ginger, completed with faint swirls. On a desk was a whole designing art set, plus papers, pens, and colorful essentials. The computers looked as if they had the latest drawing and GIMP programs installed in them. Her bed was a little darker brown than the walls. My eyes were getting sore from looking at everything. But I couldn't stop now, especially with my room next. I grabbed the doorknob and swung the door open and grinned. It. Was. Perfect. The walls were red and black. Pictures of the movie, Alice In Wonderland were painted on it. Alice, The red queen, The Mad Hatter, the white queen, pretty much all my favorite characters in the new movie. The copy of the movie was laying on my desk, so was a fairly small television. My favorite quotes from the movie were designed on the walls, floor, rabbit. It was real, too. The cage was on my nightstand. I picked it up slowly and cuddled it before setting it down. "Your name will be Clockworks." I confirmed, shutting the door. I hurried out of my room and into Anne's room. Her's was pretty darn sweet. The ceiling was the first thing I noticed. It MOVED. The scene on it looked exactly like the sky did outside. I wondered what it looked like during night. Her walls were blue, purple and green. You could make out the water with the green land and purple sky. Her bed had the same design, but the sky was blue, the water purple and the land still green. There was a duck on her bed. A. Living. Duck. The furniture was all a dark polished wood, with pictures of all her friends on them. She alway had a little kitten curled up by the duck. Also real. I wondered if she'd name it Branch. I closed her door and opened Ellen's. Her room was painted a light blue, with a black curvy line running through it. The line had swirls breaking off of it. Her bed spread was black with the same design on it, but the light blue. Her dresser had a porcelain cat on it, plus a bunch of other animals. An ipod and ipad were sitting against the frame of her bed. Other things covered the floor, but I didn't need to name them. I shut her door and hesitated opening Arianna's. I only peeked inside. You could tell her dad did it himself. The floor was covered in grass and plants. The wood and furniture was wrapped with grape vines. Her walls were a light green, and her bed was a dirt-like brown, or black. Music C.Ds and electronics littered her bed. I didn't dare to look at anymore. I shut the door quickly before glancing up to the beginning of the hall. Rebecca's room was next. I knew there would be purple. It was a sure color. I wondered why no one else was looking though the bedrooms. I shrugged the fact off. Maybe they were just looking at other things. I watched as Alex strolled through where I was and into her room. I heard her gasp before I opened Runa's door. Her room was the strangest sight I've seen so far. Her walls were a dark purple, with various tattoo-looking things all over them. Her bed was floating near the ceiling. She would be able to get up there by shadow, or, I notice a ladder sitting in the corner. A laptop was sitting on her desk, not to mention the floor was littered with different types of electronics. A black labrador was sitting in the middle of the floor. I could make out the name on the collar. 'Runa'. That would make sense. I closed her door quickly, 'cause the dog was starting to get up. I then went to Jay's room. Four more rooms left to look in, apparently. I opened Jay's door and glanced inside. The walls were Blue and silver, with hints of dark grey. It was really messy with stuff everywhere. I wondered why they did that. His computer was in the main focus, sitting on a messy desk plugged in. His bed was unmade with a plain grey comforter. Well, I knew Jay would like it. He's just that way. I shut his door quietly, cause Anne had hurried into her room first. She left the door ajar, and I saw her petting the kitten and grinning at the duck. I turned around and opened Eamon's door. I expected it to be exactly like it was. The walls were all Japanish-like. I didn't understand half the stuff they said. The walls were all red, with the weird words on them. It was a regular Japan and dojo room. It's awfully hard to explain. I shut his door also. Three more. Then I get to hear the secret! I thought. I opened Lilly's door softly. It wasn't much different from Grace's, with all the computer drawing and stuff. But her walls were a light lavender with baby blue stripes on them. Her bed spread was the blue color. A small white hamster sat on the bed, nibbling at lettuce. I closed her door and moved on to Socky's. His had red and white striped walls. His bed was the same. Pictures and things of bacon were laying everywhere. He even had a mini-fridge. No need to look inside. His dog, Baskerville perked up when I came in, and I quickly slammed the door shut before he tried to lick my face off. Last but not least, I opened Bennet's door. His was all about Otters. The walls had a scene where Otters roamed the lake. Otter pictures, figurines and stuff were everywhere. He even had a little pool with an otter sleeping inside it. I grinned and closed the door and jogged down the hall. My friends were hanging out on the couch. "Did you guys see the rooms?" I asked curiously. Anne and Alex nodded, but no one else did. "We decided to wait." Rebecca said, shrugging. "We'll tell you what we've been working on first." She added. I plopped down on an empty bean bag chair. "Shoot. I said, completely anxious. Then they started to tell me.
Rebecca
Lauren looked amazed at the secret. We started telling her, every now and then someone interrupted another. We finally finished talking. Lauren just sat there. "Wow. So like that weird water me and Bex did?" She said, shaking her head. I nodded in agreement. "But a lot better. C'mon. We'll demonstrate." I offered. The training room in here was a change from the shadow corridor. The corridor where we train is dark and gloomy to others, but to us, it's perfectly happy. In there, there are a ton of shadows dancing the walls. The ceiling was a foggy black, that changed every second. It sounds freaky, but it's awesome. I rubbed my shadow charm for good luck as we went into that large room by the kitchen. The shadow sign was black as purple, and was shaped sort of weirdly. It looked like a foaming mist of purple, black, and grey. "Okay, one thing we can't demonstrate here is something with shadow and earth. Me, Jay and Runa can make shadow animals. They get awfully violet sometimes. So we can't really do those." Ellen said, rubbing her elbow. It was wrapped in gauze. Lauren raised her eyebrows. Anne showed how she and Lilly can make ice, and Lauren watched as Ellen and Eamon made a mini tornado. Lauren nodded at the water Anne andJay made. She had saw that before. I grinned as me and Danny concentrated. There was a fire, but it was pitch black. "We can make it only a shadow too, but feel as hot as it does with a normal fire." I explained, and the fire burnt out. Eamon and Anne made a small hurricane. When we were finished with what we learned, Lauren looked totally excited. "Awesome! I bet we could even do more." She whispered. Anne nodded seriously. "Of course! But first, we need to teach you the water ones." Anne said. Bennet made a face at Socky then, and he started to laugh. I glared at them. "Socky, your room is full of bacon!" Lauren told him.He bolted toward that hallway. "C'mon. Let's go start." Anne said. This would be good. Chapter Five- Spoiler:
4 days Later...
I'm awesome at the special stuff we created these days. It took me a couple days to get the hang ofthe powers, but now it's easy. We're trying to learn new things too. But now that I think about it we still have one problem. "Arianna's still missing." I spoke suddenly. I guess everyone had forgotten, we were so busy. I felt like a fool, and Ellen suddenly looked very guilty and depressed. They turned to look at me, and Socky stopped chowing down on his bacon. I sat down on one of the couches as quietly as possible. Where we lived as taken a more home-like look. Our stuff like Books, electronics, bacon wrappers, and pets were all over the place. I glanced around and played with my shirt, which had a picture of Jane on it, from Twilight. Rebecca had one just like it, but she didn't have it on. Ellen was wiping her eyes, trying not to cry. "We... forgot about her." She whispered, sitting beside me. Danny started chewing on his bacon in frusteration. "Is she even still... alive?" Jay asked. Rebecca pinched him on his arm when Ellen let out a wimper. "Possibly. We still don't know why those people want us." Lilly said, trying to relax. I bit my lip, and it started to bleed lightly. I wiped my mouth and glared at the ground. "We need to find her." I pointed out, looking up again. "We haven't even tried yet." "Yes, but we don't even know who these people are, forget about knowing where they are!" Eamon replied, putting his feet up on the table between the seats. "I bet they tried getting Arianna first because she's Chief's daughter. Even though Chief is frantic with wory, he hasn't turned us in." I said, trying to make everyone feel a little better. I guess it didn't really work. All my friends looked disturbed and worried. I glanced at the clock sitting on the wall in front of me. "I think we should just go to the halls for now. Maybe we'll get an idea there." I suggested hopefully and stood up. I was suddenly aware of my friends doing the same. Let's hope we don't lose anyone else.
Lilly
If you've ever had one of your good friends kidnapped, you know what it feels like. This felt worse. I followed Eamon toward the wind corridor slowly, because it felt as if gravity was pulling me back, telling me something. I ignored that feeling. As soon as I felt the familar breeze an felt a bit better. Eamon was ahead of me a few paces, and I jogged to keep up. In case you didn't know, I was the creator of what brought us all together, RPC, so I was respected by everyone, but also treated the same. It's hard to explain. We got to the main area, I smiled at all the familar sights and people. My hair was down, even though the wind was blowing hard in here, I looked untroubled by the forceof it, unlike anyone else that isn't wind element. The wind hall is big, like everything else in the EB. On the walls was a forest scene, with the animals and everything, which moved. The leaders of wind could change it anytime. You see, as wind, it's our job to watch over nature and places. You might of heard people say the wind whispers things to them. That's true, we can make it speak, and it always speaks to us. So we are the first to know of any danger. That would explain why everyone was so edgy today. As me and Sub walked in, the scene changed to a small warehouse in the middle of nowhere. It flickered suddenly, and continued flickering off and on. That never happened. It was as if someone was trying not to let us see them. I peered closer at the walls. The warehouse window was open slightly. I looked closer, thinking I saw something. There, in the window, was a bit of dark, long brown hair. The scene changed back to the forest quickly. I glanced around. No one seemed to have noticed the hair. Eamon looked as shocked as I was, he must have seen it too. One thing I was sure of. That was Arianna.
Lauren
After a couple hours we were finally let out of there. I whisked through the hall, with Anne right beside me. We were the first ones out of the corrdiors, Lilly and Eamon appeared right after us. They ran right over. "Guess what!" Lilly whispered. She looked like she wante dto bounce up and down. "We have our first clue to where Arianna is!" She added, looking excited. Anne's eyes widened. "What? Is she alive?" Anne asked quickly. Eamon nodded while Lilly started to explain. "Well, we got a picture of a small warehouse on our walls. It flickered a lot, as if someone was trying to block the sightseeing winds. Before it disappeared, I saw through one of the smaller windows. Arianna's hair was visible. She's alive, but might be in bad shape." Lilly explained. I was shocked, but it was good to know Jet was alive. Ellen would like to know this news, even though Arianna is still gone. I started toward our 'Base' we call it, when Bennet ran out of the fire hall. He stopped by us and looked worried. "Where's everyone else?" He asked Anne and I. I shrugged and motioned toward all the other halls, where RPC members filtered out. Lilly went one by one to them, probably telling them what she saw. Bennet glanced around, looking for someone, possibly. "Before I went into the hall, Dan wanted some bacon, so he went to get some, and told me to go without him. I did, but after awhile, he never came into the fire room. I haven't seen him." Otter whispered, as if it was a deathly secret. Anne suddenly looked deep in thought. "Let's go check inside." She finally said, heading toward our home.
Bennet
I wasn't expecting what I saw in there. First of all, when the floor is charred and everything is covered in ashes, that's not a good sign. Then when everything was thrown around, messy and ruined, it was another bad sign. The worst sign was when there was an unopened bacon packet on the now black couch. I gazed around, playing with the charm in my pocket. It was a picture of a single flame, with ashes around it. Apparently everyone was back, because the shuffling of feet stopped abruptly. I was horrified, felt horrifed. Danny was gone. "I-I think he was..." Alex started, but trailed off. Everyone knew the answer. I fell to my knees. Now I know what Ellen felt like. FEELS like. I snatched the bacon packet and looked at it with sadness. Who dares to kidnap Socky when he is going to eat his bacon? No one, except the idiots who kidnapped Arianna. Ellen kneeled beside me and took the bacon carefully and stood up. "This confirms it. Someone is defiantly after us." She whispered, almost too quiet for me to here. Boy, we did't know how true that could get. Chapter Six- Spoiler:
Arianna
It was cold. Dark. I knew was terrified, but everything else was slurred and spinning, and I hurt all over. I could tell my hands and feet were tried with rope, a special kind to be exact, which prevents our type from using our elements. I wanted to scream, but I knew it wouldn't do much. I twisted a bit, and a seering pain shot through my arm. No doubt it was broken. I looked around. It was dim, but a small window in the corner gave me some light. I wondered how long I had been here. I didn't remember to much, but I was sure it had been a couple of days, at the least. I listened closely, for any sounds to give me a hint of what was happening. There was a slam of a probably heavy door and a small thump. Someone let out a cry of pain. The door opened then, and something, or someone was thrown in. The two kidnappers stood in the doorway. I could make out a tall man and female, both looked incredibly fit and scary. "Fire and earth." The female sneered, her voice sounded silky sweet and her voice was thick. Defiantly from England. I sat in the corner silently, watching them. "You bruised the girl to much. We are not here to torture them." She added grimly in her accent. The man grunted in response then stalked away from her. The lady followed him, and the door shut again, and I heard a lock click. The person who was thrown in here shifted and tried to sit up. "Hello?" I whispered at it, peering closer. It turned toward me- or tried. "A-Arianna?" Said a hoarse voice. I stifled a cry of delight. I shouldn't be happy, but a least I wasn't alone anymore. "Danny? Is that you?" "Yeah. Where am I?" "Don't ask me. I was blacked out for days." "These people are insane." "Tell me about it." "They took my bacon!" He moaned. I could make out a wide gash on his head that was slowly trickling blood. His leg was obviously messed up. I probably didn't look too great either. I knew my arm was broken, and my legs were bruised and cut. My lip was also cut open, and I tasted blood in my mouth. "Is everyone else alright?" I asked Socky. All this time I had been paranoid about the EB. "I guess. Ellen is full of worry and has been pretty down since you were gone." He answered dully. I shook my head slightly. Poor Ellen. "We've got to get out of here." I said quickly, before Socky could start babbling about something random. "How?" He asked, finally getting near the wall and leaning against it. "No clue. But we'll think of something." I promised him.
***
"This is hopeless. We haven't thought of a single thing." Danny groaned. I "Shut up, Socky." I snapped. I was on my last straw with these kidnappers. I banged the back of me head against the wall in frusteration. I glimpsed out the window when someone opened the door slightly. It was a boy, who looked about our age. He flicked the lights on. I was blinded momentarily by the brightness. I looked at Socky warningly, now that I could see clearly. His leg was certainly broken and was badly bruised. Blood was smeared over his forehead. I looked away quickly, and up at the boy. He had short, blonde hair and blue eyes. He was certainly tall, and was pretty fit also. I disliked him instantly. Just something about the way he looked. The boy strolled toward me. I averted his gaze and stared at the floor. "So, you're Arianna?" He asked, kneeling down by me. Danny stiffened and watched him. "Possibly." I hissed through my teeth. He glanced at my arm. "I could heal you and your friend, you know. Easily." He continued, smirking at Danny. "What's the catch?" Danny spoke up. The boy turned toward him. "Well. You tell us the code to that hall of yours." He replied, standing up and stalking toward Danny. "I know you know it." He whispered and stood by Socky. "Tell us, and you'll get all the bacon you want." "Persuasive, much?" I retorted. "Don't tell, Socky. It's just bacon. you'll get everyone else kidnapped." I pleaded with my friend. Danny looked torn in half. "Bacon... or friends?" He debated, then paused, shaking his head. "The code is... 56743-CDGT" He gasped reluctantly. The boy grinned at him. "Why, thank you!" He sneered and walked out. I heard talking, and was able to make out a name. Jasper. That must of be the boy's name. I glared at Socky, my eyes full of rage. "SOCKY. WHY THE CRAP DID YOU TELL THEM." I snarled. "I-I'm sorry! But he was making me feel weird... like I HAD to tell him. He's water, no doubt. That's what water people do to fire. That's why Lauren and Anne make sure me and Bennet behave." He confessed, looking freaked out. My face softened. "Sorry. I forgot about that." I apologized quietly, and turned and stared at the wall silently. This was bad. Very, very bad.
Lauren
Everybody finally got over the kidnap, but that didn't mean we were still very worried. I paced through my room, thinking about something to do to save Danny and Arianna. Everyone else was back in the element halls, but I hadn't felt too well then. They wouldn't be back for awhile, anyway. I sat down on my bed and stared at Clockworks the rabbit. Then I grabbed my open bag of Doritos and headed toward the main room. It was all cleaned up, thanks to Chief. He was getting frantic, with two of us currently missing. I flopped down on the couch and turned on the TV. I slowly flipped through the channels and stopped when I thought I heard someone come in. I looked up at the entrance. I shot up and stared at the intruders. There was a boy, about their age, and two adults. One male and one female. "Who are you, and how's you get through the protection codes?" I demanded crossly. The boy cocked his head at me. "Oh, you can thank Danny. He told us, and I'm Jasper Kovik." He answered casually, smirking at me. His eyes twinkled with delight, and just pure evil. Then something I also recongized, and I wrinkled my nose is disgust. I started to put two and two together. Water started to dance furiously at my fingertips. I dropped the remote and took a step forward. "Wait a minute. You kidnapped them, didn't you?" I gasped, my eyes narrowing. Jasper clapped his hands together and grinned. "Great job, you figured it out! I'm also about to kidnap another, mind you." He sneered putting his hands in his pockets. The adults started toward me instantly. I thought quickly and darted out of their reach. I watched them skid farther and trp over Runa. The dog yelped and ran toward Rebeca's room. I felt someone grab my wrists tightly and twist them. I flinch and twisted, kicking Jasper in the face. He let go and rubbed his head. I ran toward the couch and jumped up, grabbing a wide shelf on the wall and pulled myself up. I glared down, where the lady, man and Jasper were peering up. "You know, I'm pretty upset about you kidnapping Danny and Arianna, but Ellen and Bennet certainly want you dead more than I do. Then if you kidnap me, Anne will also." I explained to him. He rolled his eyes. and jumped up, trying to grab the shelf. I noticed The pin on his pants and scowled. Water. I tried to kick his face but suddenly lost my balance and fell. Instead of hitting the floor, I fell into Jasper's arms. Just my luck. He smiled at me triumphantly. I struggled and tried pushing him away, but he had a tight grasp. Then, in the entrance, Anne appeared with Lilly and Ellen. She stared and suddenly darted toward me. I suddenly felt a quick poke, saw Anna cry out as she got father away. I felt a sensation as if I was falling down. Then I went limp in Jasper's arms. Chapter Seven- Spoiler:
I have a big death list. A death list is a creation of mine, where I mentally number people that need to die. Jasper gets the honor of being number one. My ankles and wrists were tired together, and I was shoved in a room, which I found out, had two other kids in it. I knew instantly that they were Arianna and Danny. They were in worse shape than I was, I only had a sprained ankle and a bunch of bruises and cuts. This was confusing, though. I was the violent on out of us. I had just woken up when they put me in here. "So, they got you too, eh?" Arianna grunted, like it was nothing knew. I snorted in disgust. "It was just my luck I fell and he caught me. Otherwise I would of made sure he never came back!" I whined denfensivly, shifting into a better position. Danny choked on the piece of bacon they had given him. He was having trouble eating it, too, with his hands bound. "He's insane." Arianna retorted sourly. "Way to point out the obvious." Danny scoffed, finishing his bacon strip. I bit my lip and stared at the door. "We still don't know why he's doing this. But now, I'm think twice about wanting to know." I pointed out, trying to get the blood pulsing through my wrists again. I stared out the window, frusterated when Arianna and Danny didn't respond. I could of won that fight. Agh. I thought miserably, glaring at the floor. Soon enough, possibly to soon for my liking, the door opened. I stared at the black and white tennis shoes. Danny huffed, annoyed and Arianna sighed boredly. I didn't need to know who it was, I already could tell. "Three out of twelve. Not bad." Jasper murmered thoughtfully. He strolled from Arianna to Danny, then me. He stopped near me, right between me and Danny. I stared at the ground, trying to ignore him. "Why are we here, Slimy?" Danny retorted. I wished I had called him that. Shoot. Jasper turned and started pacing again. "It's obvious, is it not? We know what you guys are practicing behind the EB's backs-" "Stalker, much?" I hissed, glaring at him. He looked amused and shrugged. "Anyway, we decided you all would be very helpful if we were to overthrow the EB." He continued, rocking back on his heels. "As soon as we do that, we'll let you all go. Well, most of you. We might keep a couple, of course." He said casually. I felt his eyes burning into me and scooted father away. "We'll get out of here, first." I promised my friends, trying hard to ignore Jasper. He leaned over me and glared straight into my eyes. I glared right back, trying to look confident. "You won't be able to escape this place, Lauren Ari Smithins." He whispered in my ear. I wanted to melt into a puddle and die right then. "Okayyyy... That's close enough. Good bye!" I muttered, cringing when he kicked my swollen ankle lightly. Arianna snorted and rolled her eyes. Jasper stood up and glared at the three of us. "Don't try, either. I'm warning you. I can make you all hurt a lot more than you do!" He leered, before disappearing out the door. I blinked and glanced at my friends. They shrugged. "He's so weird." Arianna commented, staring at the door. "He likes youuuu." Danny taunted me. "Don't you dare remind me, or I'll get rid of all your bacon and comics. " I threatened him. "I wish he was just a normal crminal, wanting money and demanding randsom." I retorted sourly. Danny shut his mouth and Arianna smiled slightly. "We just aren't that lucky." She responded. " But now what? We're going to be pawns in a fight, and we can't do anything about it, because we're stuck in this, dark, moist confined room. Pretty normal-criminal like to me." She sighed hopelessly. I shook my head in disagreement. "I don't like this room. So I won't stay stuck in these stupid concrete walls." I hissed through my teeth and gazed around with hate. My eyes fell on my pocket, which was bulging a little with my knife inside. If I could just reach it... I strugged and my head hit the wall. I moaned and sighed. "Stupid water. Stupid EB. Stupid Jasper." I ranted, and continued hitting my head against the wall. I was going to get us out of here. Soon.
Eamon
I rushed toward the window, where Anne was sniffing a little. I had just gotten back from the wind hall. According to Lilly and Ellen, some boy had jumped out the window with Lauren drugged in his arms. Wow. He's an idiot. Was my first thought. Anne stood up and stared out the window again. Her sadness was replaced quickly with anger. I rushed toward the couch and grabbed a pillow, giving it to her. She punched it and paused, taking a deep breath. "W-Who was he?" She asked, her voicy shaky. "I don't know. Chief might have a file on him or something. I saw his charm. You only get that if you were educated here. He must be the one kidnapping, like a student gone wrong." Ellen explained, shrugging. "I want to be the one to kill him." She added, just to make it clear. "No, I will!" Bennet retorted, standing up. "No way! I want too!" Anna cut in, stalking over to them. My friends started bickering about who got to kill him. I rolled my eyes and gestured at Lilly to break it up. "Guys. Calm down. We have to think clearly. He's clever, no doubt. He could of kidnapped Anne, Ellen, and I too, but he's taking one at a time. We have to start this by staying in pairs. Rebecca and Jay, Me and Eamon, Alex and Grace, then Bennet, Anne and Ellen." She instructed, taking my hint. I nodded along with her. "Second part of the plan?" Alex pressed. "We locate the warehouse, find out what elements they have. The boy is water, I know that much about him. I saw the older female's necklace. Wind. I could tell with the picture of blowing leaves in the wind. Anyone see the man's?" She inquired, eyeing us all. It was silent for a moment. "Well... I saw the light sign. A neon yellow sun." Grace said quietly. Lilly nodded approvingly. "Light, Water and Wind. Now, the boy will have an advantage over Bennet, but Alex and Grace can win over him with their elements alone. But with the extra stuff, it's easier." She continued then paused, staring out the window. "It's getting dark. We'll talk about it tomorrow." She added, pulling me toward my room. I rolled my eyes and closed the door to my room. I sighed at the Japanese things and grinned. This was my happy bubble. I relaxed on the bed and flipped open my phone, starting to randomly play games on it. I looked out the window boredly after a bit. I noticed someone standing below it. Being as high as my room was, it was probably ten feet or so down. I didn't regonize the boy, but he reminded me of the boy Anne described, who had kidnapped Lauren, Arianna and Danny. I shook the strange feeling off and returned to my bed. After a couple more minutes I got bored again. I opened my door slowly and peeked out. I started shufflling down the corridor, and looked through the main hall. I heard whispering and headed toward the entrance, where the whispering was the loudest. "Jasper, this isn't a good idea. Two in one day? They're probably very aware of danger with Lauren missing." Someone said. They had a thick accent, and it sounded female. I slowly peeked around the corner. It was the boy, from the window and Anne's description. I grimanced and clutched a gust of air in my hand. They hadn't spotted me. Yet. "Kayran, I'm in charge. Lauren didn't count. She needed to be kidnapped, because she is one of the most violent, besides Rebecca." This 'Jasper' added. I stepped out into the open and glared at him. I had no clue what I was doing. He stared at me, and a smirk slowly spread across his face. He motioned at the man, and the guy lumbered toward me and lunged. I was surprised by his attack, and tried to push the him off. He pinned me easily and swiftly stuck a needle in my arm. I yelped and everything started to get a bit blurry. Then I couldn't see a thing.
Lilly
I was watching TV in my room, when I heard Eamon yell. I jumped up and ran toward the main room. I chased after a boy who was just disappearing through the entrance. I reached where I last saw him, but no one was there anymore. My shoulders slumped as I turned around. My friends were peering at me curiously. "They... Took Eamon." I whispered, burying my face in my hands. I was in charge of Eamon, and he had been taken. "Two in a day? They must be in a rush to get something finished." Anne snarled, kicking the wall. "Then we need to work faster, before they get us all." I growled at her. These people are messing with the creator of an epic, active, and awesme roleplay site. Not a good idea. Chapter 8- Spoiler:
Three Days later...
I think I might rot in here. Arianna and Danny were sleeping, their breath shallow and quick. Yesterday they both had continuous coughing fits. I was sure they were getting sick, but I wasn't sure with what sickness. I haven't caught it yet, niether has Eamon, who was kidnapped two nights ago. I was becoming impatient with Jasper by the minute. He was contantly hurting my friends, everyday, every night. It made me literally spazz, watching him do that. I was afraid one of them would die soon enough. Arianna was in the worst shape. I bit my lip and wanted to wipe away the tear that trickled down my cheek. I squeezed my eyes shut, trying to get rid of the tears welling up in them. "You okay, Lauren?" Eamon whispered to me. I nodded weakly. "Yeah. But I don't think Arianna will last another week like this. Maybe not a... day." I whispered back. He glanced over at her fearfully. She was ghostly pale and was badly wounded. As soon as we got out of here, she would need medical help. I inhaled slowly and swallowed, keeping my emotions in check. Eamon suddenly gulped. "Jasper de Vil." He sighed, referring to the movie 101 Dalmations. I scowled at the door. Eamon has been helping us by telling us when he can hear Jasper. It's a thing with wind elements. "Guys! Here comes Mr. I'm so Great." I growled loudly. Danny grunted and yawned. Arianna didn't stir. I felt the color drain out of my face. She was still breathing, fortunatly. Probably unconcious. "She needs help." I whispered to Eamon. "So does Danny. Soon, too." He murmered back, when the door flung open. Jasper appeared, grinning... Plus, holding a Glock. I held my breath in surprise. "You could lose the gun." I offered. He walked in and played with his weapon. Danny was wide awake now, glancing at the gun. He watched Jasper with fear. "Looks like one of you caught a sickness pretty badly." He sneered, gazing at Arianna. I think my insides exploded permently when Jasper laughed and kicked Arianna's leg. "I could do something about it. Heal Danny and Arianna." He continued, grinning at me. Eamon and I exchanged glances. "... But Lauren needs to come with me. As a payment." He said and flashed a smile at us. "N-No way." Danny muttered. I as torn. I defiantly didn't want to go with Jasper DeVil, as Eamon put it. But Arianna and Danny were suffering. "Just go. We'll be okay." Suburbia whispered in my ear. I swallowed a retort reluctantly. "F-fine. But they get the help first." I decided quietly. Wahoo. This should be interesting. "Kayran, Matt, take the hostages to the hospital." Jasper commanded, sounding delighted. They hurried in and picked up Danny and Arianna then disappeared again. Jasper lifted me up roughly and cut the ropes. He held the Glock at my waist, and threw his free arm around my shoulders as soon as I was untied. I stumbled, thanks to my ankle, but regained my balance and glared at the Glock. I was aware of Jasper's arm around me as he forced me out of teh room. I glanced back at Eamon, and he motioned for me to go. I smiled slightly at him. But seriously, I'd rather die right now.
Grace
I was sure now that something was wrong at that strange warehouse. Lilly kept getting images of Danny and Arianna looking sick. We were all now very scared about them now, it was even affecting Anne, Bennet and Ellen they wouldn't leave their rooms. I played with my hamster a bit, when someone knocked on my door. I opened it slowly. Alex stood in the doorway, her hands behind her back. "Grace, we have to do something. Now." She whispered urgently. I frowned when she told me her plan. "Alex, it's incredibly dangerous." I replied, biting my lip. "You know somethings wrong. We have to go help them." She insisted, tugging on my sleeve. I rubbed my forehead in frusteration. "Oh, alright. But I'm blaming you if we get kidnapped." I muttered and stalked after her.
***
We snuck through the forest silently. Alex, after a frusterating two hours, was finally able to find the hidden location of the captor's warehouse. I lagged behind her as we approached an opening. Across it was the warehouse. "You are SO taking the blame, Winter." I muttered through clenched teeth. "Oh, brighten UP, Ginger!" She whispered, rolling her eyes. We used the blinding light beams to hide ourselves as we advanced across the clearing. We reached the warehouse in no time at all. Alex looked up at the window, then glanced at me. "We can easily climb up and through." She pointed out, and grabbed a loose board. She started up the wall carefully. "Alex..."I sighed, but followed her anyway. I slid through the window and landed beside her. Eamon was staring at us, bewildered. "Where is Arianna, Danny and Lauren?" Alex questioned. "Long story. You guys have to go! Jaspers due soon." He told us urgently. I nodded in agreement. "I know. She won't listen though." I growled, scowling at my friend. Eamon's face turned from surprise to horror. "Oh no. He's here!" He whispered quickly. The door opened, and there was that wrenched boy. I stepped back. "Wow, Alex. Wow. You are explaining EVERYTHING to Storms." I hissed, and Jasper pulled out his gun warningly. Alex twitched, frightened, and Eamon moaned. "Oh gawd." Sub gasped. Jasper smirked and came closer. He hit Alex in the head with the barrel of his gun. She fell to the floor and didn't move. I pressed my body against the wall. He grinned and pulled out a small drugging needle and poked it into my arm. I instantly slid to the floor. Everything slowly started to fade out of sight. Chapter Nine.- Spoiler:
I hate Jasper Joseph Chase. Yup, I know his full name now. Like I even wanted to know it. But apparently, I have to follow him, like everywhere. Except where my friends are. I had found out Alex and Grace were in there, too now. I had also learned what Jasper planned to do with me. First, he could use me to get Anne kidnapped, they the same thing with Arianna and Danny. Then he would go for Storms, Rebecca and Jay one at a time. I really hadn't wanted to know this. But you don't have much of a choice when a teenaged boy has a Glock and your friends hostage, do you? I glared at the stupid gun as Jasper continued talking. He paused for moment. I looked up and glared at him. "Hm. I have another idea for kidnapping them." He whispered, smirking. My eyes narrowed. "If it invovles me, forget it. I'm already stuck with you." I retorted, tracing the cracks on the wall boredly. "Yes, it does involve you. But you don't have a choice. You're doing what I tell you too. Or I'll make sure your friends aren't happy." He warned, coming closer. "I'd rather be tied up eating mold than following you around. Just saying." I replied, inching away from him. He grasped the collar of my shirt and pulled me closer. I flinched back and tugged at my shirt. He didn't let go, but only pulled me closer, until he was standing centimeters away from me. I swallowed and tried pulling back again. He shoved me against the wall roughly. "You're going to listen to me, right, Lauren? You wouldn't want Anne getting killed." He questioned, his voice sickly sweet. I didn't respond for moment. "You.. wouldn't kill Anne." I whispered, terrified. Jasper grinned, laughing. His hands were forcing me to stay put. It hurt like heck, too. "Don't doubt me. I would if I needed too, of course. Understand?" He threatened, smirking. I nodded slowly and stared past him, then back. "Fine." I muttered, shuffling my feet uncertainly. Jasper nodded and smiled, leaning closer. I pressed against the wall harder. "Darn it wall, go away! Disappear!" I urged quickly. Suddenly, I felt Jasper's lips against mine.
Lilly
"Oh. My. God. They went themselves?" I screeched, glaring at the note on Ginger's desk. I tapped fingers against it impatiently. Apparently my two friends had gone and tried to save everyone. But they weren't back, and that only meant one thing. "We lost two more." Anne sighed sadly. It was only Rebecca, Jay, Anne, Bennet, Ellen and I left. I hadn't seen Chief for days- No one has. He's locked himself up somewhere. "This is getting crazy." I murmered, glancing at everyone. I frowned and thought for a moment. "Alex gave us the location, so that should help some. But since Alex and Grace are gone, it'll be harder to win against this boy." I hissed through my clenched teeth. "What about the two older criminals with him?" Rebecca questioned. I smiled slyly. "I don't think they like a seventeen year old boy in charge of them." I hinted, smirking. I rocked on her heels and glanced out the window, thinking I saw something. I shook my head in disbelief then glanced down. There was a small scrape of dirty paper laying at the windowsill. I picked it up and skimmed through its message. My buddies read over my shoulder.
Dear Lilly,
You don't need to worry about us. Yet. Alex and Grace are here too, if you re wondering. So far, a lot has happened. Lauren saved Danny and Arianna's lives, though for a price. She has to spend her time here mostly with Jasper, so Arianna and Danny could go to the hospital. Jasper's insane. He's planning on overthrowing the EB as soon as all of us are kidnapped, using us as pawns because of our new powers. Then he'll let us go. Well, some of us. I think he's gonna keep Lauren, Becca, you and Alex. I'm not sure, but it's not hard to guess. You got to come get us soon. Keep yourselves safe.
- Eamon
I traced the side of the paper with my finger sadly. Anne was starting to hypervenilate dangerously. "Gawd." I breathed, rereading it over again. "So, his name is Jasper, eh? He favors Lauren, too? Yup. Insane!" Anne growled, her nose flaring with rage. I nodded in agreement. "Well, it looks like Arianna and Danny were horribly sick." I pointed out, sighing. "You have a plan, right, Storms?" Jay asked, referring to what I said earlier. I smiled slightly and nodded once again. Chapter Ten- Spoiler:
Jasper pulled away and smirked at me. "WHAT. THE. HECK. YOU. DUMB. BOY." I screeched, and I instantly wiped that smirk off his face by slapping his cheek, and kicking him in the chest. Jasper went flying and hit the wall. He scrambled up and scratched my arm as a distraction, and yanked on my left arm. I cringed and fell to the floor, clutching my arm in agony. It hurt like crud. Gosh, he was strong. I was soon sure my arm was broken, or dislocated. I stuck my foot out and kicked him. Jasper stumbled back as I stood up and tried socking his stomach with my good arm, but he caught it and flipped me over. I hit the floor roughly, and my head slammed against a wall. My vision started to get blurry and I groaned in pain. I was aware of Jasper standing over me. "Told ya!" He whispered tauntingly. I then went unconcious.
***
I moaned, and felt someone's hand on my head. My eyes fluttered open slowly. I stared at the ceiling in confusion as Alex and Grace where leaning over me, concerned. I sat up shakily on the bed, yawning. "Am I dreaming?" I wondered aloud, swallowing the left over blood in my mouth. My left arm was in a cast, and bandages covered my body. Grace shook her head grimly. "No, Jasper left us in here, because we know a ton of medical stuff." She explained quickly, glancing at Alex. "What did you do?" Alex questioned, scratching her head. I noticed a chain on her wrist and glanced down. Of course. She was chained in here. "Oh, well Jasper made a BAD choice at a BAD time, so I taught him not to do that." I growled, cracking my knuckles. Grace snickered in delight. "Wow, Lauren." She giggled. I smiled slightly. "So you guys doing alright?" I inquired, and saw the chains on me also. That's great. Alex shrugged and exchanged glances with Grace. "Not much. Eamon's sick, but not bad enough to go to the ER, but Danny's back. Arianna will be today sometime." She reported seriousy. I frowned sadly at this news, But Alex smiled. "Don't worry. Lilly sent us a message, because Eamon had sent her one earlier. She has a plan." Grace said excitedly. My face lit up. "Show me! Please!" I begged. My day just got a ton better. You wouldn't believe it. Alex pulled out a piece of paper and slowly unfolded it.
Guys-
Hang in there. I've got an idea, but it's risky. Find Lauren and tell her too. Okay. The rest of us are going to come there and give ourselves up. But, while there, we'll TRY and get those strange adults to help us with our idea. Lauren will distract Jasper as much as possible. We found a glitch in the ropes keeping you guys tied together, so we'll use that to get the others untied. We'll get out of there, and Bennet, Ellen, Anne and Lauren will get rid of Jasper. We'll go over things when we get there. Okay? Stay as healthy as possible!
- Lilly
I bit my lip. "I hope this works." I murmered. Alex nodded in agreement. "It will." She promised, but I caught the doubt in her voice. It will work. It HAS too.
Rebecca
"Everyone ready?" Lilly asked uncertainly. I nodded, patting my pocket. In it was the tool we needed to get the ropes off everyone. I took a deep breath and disappeared, only my shadow remaining. Jay did the same. Shadow travling was easier, and quicker than walking. Lilly ducked through the door of the EB. I followed, and glanced back one more time. We were going to risk our lives to save this place. I wondered if we were doing the right thing. We could just grab everyone and ditch Jasper right then and there. I bit my lip. Of course we were doing the right thing. Correct? I moved among the shadows, ahead of everyone. It took awhile to reach the warehouse, but we soon did. I nodded at Lilly, and we strolled in casually. We walked through the room, where guards were staring at us, puzzled. Lilly opened a door on the right. It was a large room, and Jasper was standing over a table, with Lauren sitting in the corner, pouting. She winked at us and poked Jasper roughly. He looked up and blinked at us. "We're here to give ourselves in. We can't take it without our friends." Anne pleaded. She was awesome at acting, because her voice sounded convincingly nervous and sad. It was fake, you could tell, because her eyes showed the courage that she really was feeling. Jasper slowly came over. He showed us to the room Eamon, Alex and Grace were in. Arianna, Eamon, and Arianna were back. They quickly smiled as Jasper tied my wrists and ankles and put me my a wall. He finished and smiled. "Very good. We'll start tomorrow!" He sneered, and left quickly. This better work.

| o.0 You guys scare me. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 11
Lilly
So far our idea was working. Rebecca was currently using the special magnet to reverse the ropes, making them change so we can use our powers. She then helped Eamon, Danny, and Arianna up. They still wern't in good shape. "Okay, Jay and I will go talk with the two adults. Rebecca, get Eamon and them out of here." I instructed grimly. Jay nodded silently and watched as I picked the lock easily and slipped out. Jay become a shadow once again. We made our way through the empty building, making sure we weren't caught by any wandering guards. I spotted our targets around the corner and stopped. Jay quickly reformed make to human. We approached them cautiously. They looked corcerned but puzzled. Why, hello!" Jay said cheerfully. "How did you.." The man growled, but trailed off as I held up the magnet. He cursed uner his breath. "Now. I take it you two don't like have a seventeen year old boy in charge?" I started, biting my lip. They exchanged glances but didn't make a move to stop us. "How much does he pay you?" I asked first. "Ten dollars a week." The lady hissed. I shook my head in disgust. "Hmm. That's too bad. I could give you so much more." I sighed sadly, pulling the huge wad of bills out of my pocket. Don't ask how I got them. The older couple froze and the man twitched, ready to grab it. "But that won't cover the rest of our life." The lady growled, grabbing her sniper warningly. I backed up a step. "We could work something out." I added quickly. The lady didn't move. "So, here's the deal. You help us, you get all the money, maybe more." Jay finished. "Hmm. What do you think, Matt? I don't trust them!" The lady spat. Matt blinked and kept his eyes on the prize. "No more of this nonsense with the boy. I'm tired of Jasper bossing me around. You choose your side, Kayran." He decided quickly. The lady frowned thoughtfully. She was silent for awhile. "Very well. What do we have to do?" She asked, sighing in defeat. I grinned and whispered their jobs to them.
Lauren
I started talking to Jasper randomly, trying to keep him busy. I managed to get him to talk about his ideas for the future. Yuck. I frowned and didn't listen, knowing ths would not hold for long. I slid my hand closer to his, cringing internally. For my firends... For my friends... For my friends... I repeated constantly in my head, before I place my hand on top his. He stopped talking for a second and stared at me in surprise. I stared back, trying to look innocent. "What, do I bother you?" I asked, giggling fakely. Lilly better be back soon, or I was going to puke. "Uh... no." Jasper murmered, grasping my hand. He seemed to totally forget what he was doing. I scooted closer to him, and again, I think my insides fizzed and died. He seemed shocked, but apparently decided to take the opportunity. He started talking rapidly again, when the door busted open. Standing there was Bennet, Anne, Ellen and I suppose Lilly had decided to come. Probably to make sure we didn't go overboard with this advantage. They all had guns, probably with the help of Kayran and Matt. I grinned and bolted toward them and glomped Anne. She handed me a gun. I turned, and Jasper looked furious, but crestfallen. I bit my lip, suddenly feeling guilty. I shook that away. "Did you really think I'd like you?" I sneered. He backed away and pointed his gun at me, glaring. I ran up and knocked it out of his hands and wrestled hiim to the floor. He flipped over and pinned my to the ground quickly. Anne hurried over and knocked Jasper off. He grabbed his Glock and hit her with it. She stumbled back, and a deep gash started forming on her forehead. I grabbed his foot and yanked, hard. He tripped and crashed to the floor, and from there I socked him in the stomach, but he then hit me in the face. I shoved his head against a wall and we wrestled roughly. I finally got him pinned firmly. "You might win this time, but I won't give up!" He threatened and threw me off him. I smacked into a wall, and horrible pains shot up through my body. I itried to ignore it and chased after him. Suddenly, a bullet whizzed past me, and I heard someone instantly cry out. I whipped around and ran toward Otter, who was laying on the ground in pain. There was a bullet hole in his arm, and it was red and bloody. I glanced at Lilly, who, with the help of Ellen and Anne, were trying to take Bennet outside. I glanced behind me, tempted to go after Jasper. "Lauren, It's no use. C'mon." Anne called back at me. I nodded reluctantly and trudged after them. I threw the gun on the ground and kicked it away. At least everyone was free.
Danny
I sat by Bennet's hospital bed and waited. For what? No clue. He was still sleeping, and had lost a lot of blood this morning during the fight. He was going to be alright, according to the doctor, though his arm may never work normally again. I put my head in my hands and rubbed my eyes. I hadn't gotten much sleep for days. I've been having weird dreams lately, which I didn't care to discuss. I swallowed and watched the heart monitor repeat the same pattern constantly, and started thinking of Sherlock Holmes. I closed my eyes drowsily, and slowly fell asleep.
"I'm not finished with you all yet." Someone chanted in my ears. I suddenly felt like I was drowning, and it's a very bad feeling, especially if you're fire. But I couldn't see much. My breath was shallow and confined, plus the chanting didn't stop. I tried to swim toward the very faint light, but it kept getting father and farther away. "Her 18th birthday..." He started chanting this time. I glanced around franticly. It was pitch black now, and someone started laughing cruelly. I froze in the midst of my struggling and no longer could move. The pressure became overwhelming and I started falling down, down, down....
I jerked awake, panting furiously. I thought about my dream a little, and I suddenly realized something. I knew that voice. I knew that laugh. I glanced at the window, into the lake behind the hospital. I could of sworn I saw someone quickly dive in, and not come up back again. Also, I hope it wasn't who I thought it was.
Epilogue
"Happy 18th Birthday, Lauren!" My friends cheered. I laughed and hugged them. Today was June 13th, and it's been about year when I first left for the EB when I was seventeen, and had found Jasper. He hadn't shown his face again, though Danny had confessed of weird dreams. I glanced at Socky. He was sitting in a corner glumly, looking worried. I decided to not bother about him. Nothing could ruin today for me. Anne tackled me in a hug and we celebrated. Otter pulled Danny up. He had gotten better since Japer shot him, but he couldn't move his arm very much. I grinned and flicked a piece of cake at Arianna, who was fully recovered from the strange sickness. She flicked it back and giggled. I had already opened presents about a couple minutes ago. There were a ton of photo's and trinkets. I got a new phone from my mom, and she also sent me an old book I use to love. That, of course, had been my favorite. We played some games and finally crashed on the couch after about three hours. I smiled at the TV. "Can you believe Cheif let us stay here as long as we want?" I wondered aloud. Anne smiled at me. "I guess our luck is getting better." Arianna giggled. I laughed a bit at that. Danny still looked horribly worried. I sighed and glanced at him, confused. "Danny, what's up?" I asked impatiently. He clicked his tongue. "Well, in my dreams, Jasper was chanting 'I'm not finished with you all yet." He confessed. Everyone was silent for a moment. "And, well, he was also chanting 'On her 18th Birthday.' But your the youngest, so we are all eithteen already.." He explained, biting his lip. "It was... Just a dream, Socky." I pointed out quickly. He nodded and shrugged. Suddenly, there was a loud gun shot across the EB. I shot up and ran toward it. Apparently it was in the Chief's hall, because no one was in the main room. I skidded to a stop in there and stared. Arianna came up next. She stumbled and fainted instantly. It was completly silent as we all stared at the murdered body of Chief. "Oh my LORD." I whispered, kneeling down next to him. A gun shot wound was visible through his shirt, and his eyes stared straight up, all glossy and blank. I grabbed his gun and growled, looking across the room. Someone giggled, it was high-pitched and I knew it was a girl, but not one of us. I stepped back, alarmed, as a girl stepped out of the shadows, smiling at us. She had straight blonde hair and dark blue eyes, and looked weirdly familar. "You must be Jasper's enemies. Except... you!" She squeaked, pointing at me. I coughed in disagreement. "Where. Is. He. Or I'll shoot his little girlfriend." I spat, aiming at her. She stuck her tongue out in disgust. "You wouldn't shoot my sister, Lauren." Responded a casual voice. Anne clutched my arm nervously. "WHAT DID YOU DO TO CHIEF, MR. MURDER." I snapped, glaring into the shadows. Actually, I wasn't sure where Jasper wa. I whirled around when I heard him snicker again. He was standing there, blocking the exit. He quickly flipped the lights off, so it was pitch dark. "Yup, you're even worse than I remember." I retorted, feeling around for anyone. Anne screamed, and was cut off quickly. "Anne!" I called. I heard a muffled reply, and gulped. "She's with Mia, Lauren. Now, if you ever want to see your best friend again, I suppose you'll listen to me, hm?" He murmered. "Can't you guys see him?" I whispered at Jay and Rebecca. They shook their heads in unsion. "These are special lights Chief.... or former Chief installed so none of us could sneak in and prank him." Jay explained quickly. Jasper clicked his tongue in annoyance. "Anyway, meet me down in the library of Fieldsmay on Saturday. If not, well, let's just say Anne won't have a happy ending." He said, chuckling once again. I could tell he was very close to where I was standing. I growled but didn't move. "Fine." I muttered, backing up carefully. "Good." He murmered. "Oh, and, Happy Birthday, love." He added, and then it was silent, except for the window slamming shut. "WHATDIDHECALLME? TELLMETHAT'SNOTWHATHESAID." I shouted, starting to hypervenilate. "Hold on, I think I found the light switch." Alex called over. She flipped it on and it became bright again. I started blinking rapidly and looked around. Anne, Mia, and Jasper were no where in sight. "Looks like this isn't over yet." Bennet sighed as leaders of the elements trickled in, we had to explain what happened. Arianna was crying and leaning over her father's body, as so were many other people. What a birthday.
