The main-land; beaches, boys, and butt-kicking.
That’s my life, Yeah, It’s me, Rebecca Lillian Aradilia, but I might as well change it to Rebecca Lillian Night.
I grinned at Jacob; we were ‘vacationing’ in Florida with all our friends:
Britani: Harvs
Justin: Alweinfang
Tabatha: Dawnfrost
Marie: Khalamari
Amanda: Storm
Alexandria: Winter
Annabelle: Branch
Sarah: Vixen
Arabelle: Jet
Misty: [Ironically] Misty
Maggie: Pixie
Karli: Pirate
There were so many of us, each, having special abilities beyond a normal humans, we were the Immortals; more joined our ranks each day.
Jacob and I, Paired for life as Soulmates:
Amanda and Alex;
Sarah and Annabelle;
Arabelle and Britani;
Tabatha and Marie;
Misty and Maggie;
Karli and Justin;
All paired, for life, relationships that no mortal mind could understand; each relationship miraculous in its own way.
I couldn’t seem to regret the way Jacob and I had our relationship, we had a way, much more different than the others, it was like all the powers in the world had been split down the middle and given half to each of us.
Jacob, my sun, he was light, electricity, fire.
I, the Princess of Darkness, Shadows, Mind, and Force fields was my forte.
Like I said before, we had been on ‘vacation’ in Florida. It had been six months since my sister, Samantha, had been kidnapped, her picture was posted everywhere, and I constantly was reminded of my duty. I had gotten over the pain; I only wanted Revenge, Which was what fueled me each morning I stayed up all night going from Spring Break Party to party. I was a mess, I was mad, and my appearance had changed to fuel my fury, Jacob wasn’t happy about my fascination with murdering people, I had taken to a name that everyone across the country knew me as, ‘Night Owl’. Headlines raged, was I good or bad? No one knew, I used my Immortal powers to help anyone I saw, but I also left quite big messes when I left, whether it was bodies, [I wasn’t accustomed to disposing of them myself] or buildings in rubble.
I was snapped out of my rage by a loud scream, someone was in trouble, I yawned involuntarily and murmured, “I’ll get it, No one move to quickly.”
My appearance changed drastically as I spin into my Night Owl costume, jet black suit, one that you would think a CIA agent would wear, jet black hair flew out behind me, a pale face and pure black eyes. I grinned, “Bye! See you guys later!” I called running off, it was eight at night, early for anything to drastic, but that didn’t mean I didn’t have to make it drastic. I jumped off the side of a building and dropped my body weight evening out as I kicked in my powers, I floated in the air and glided down like a bird descending.
Someone pointed at me and I grinned and yawned again, “I’m here, what seems to be the problem?”
A police officer approached me, “Someone has a hostage in the bank; we have no idea who she is, she looks like the girl that disappeared, Samantha.”
I blinked and showed no emotion, “I’ll take care of it.” Racing off, if it was her, I would get to see her again, I would save her, and she wouldn’t slip through my fingers.
My instincts kicked in as I went in the bank through the side door, I slithered silently like a snake and arrived on the second level, it was where all the vaults of money were, everything important was up there, including Sam. I could see her trembling, tied up. There was another, I couldn’t believe it, it couldn’t be her, it just couldn’t. I shook my head as I emerged…
The blonde haired girl turned and grinned, “Hello Runa, I was wondering when you would come and save your sister.”
I blinked, “Why you? I am not Runa either, I am the Night Owl.”
The girl grinned, “Whatever you say, if your not Runa, then I’m not Adrianna; you can call me… the Black Panther.”
I nodded, “Why would you do this?”
“Because, You broke my brother’s heart, you said you loved him, you go to visit relatives, don’t come back, and then I find out that your basically engaged?”
I gasped, “Engaged? No! Never!”
Adrianna laughed, “What do you think that rock is on your finger?”
I looked at the ring Jacob had given me, he said it was a ‘friendship’ ring; he was going to get chewed out when I got back to him.
I gritted my teeth and She grinned, “Just tell me that you’ll never come back to our home-town again and I’ll give you your sister back.”
I couldn’t, my parents… I missed them so much, they had only talked to me on the phone, I didn’t want to show them what I had become.
Adrianna grinned and put a knife to my sister’s throat, “You have thirty seconds… Twenty-nine…”
Chapter One - Spoiler:
I blinked and reacted without though, Adrianna’s body was hitting the wall across the room and Sam was in my arms, she might be twenty-four, but she was still terrified as I leaped out of the window, leaving the paramedics to clean up Adrianna’s body, I let a sob escape me, she was supposed to be my friend.
Sam looked at me with blood-shot eyes and blinked, “Rebecca?” she asked, her voice weak.
I nodded slowly, “I can’t explain, you can’t tell, Alex and Amanda will make sure you get home, alright Sam?” I asked at the end on the verge of tears, I wouldn’t let myself cry. Landing on the ground with a loud smack I told the police Adrianna was left up there, dead.
I let Sam down from my arms and told her to follow me, there were no protests as I walked, then I realized that I was to fast for her. I swept her up into my arms and disappeared, transportation would be quicker and easier.
I appeared and let her down; Sam was gaping at me as I changed back into my normal self. I rolled my eyes, “Alex, Amanda, Take my sister home.”
Alex nodded slowly, she could tell I didn’t want to argue, Jacob’s head shot up, “Darn it…” he muttered when he saw my angry face.
Everyone basically evacuated the room but Justin stayed in earshot, I glared in his position behind the wall, “JUSTIN! IF YOU DON’T GET THE HADES OUT OF HERE I WILL GUT YOU!”
He cringed, I could feel it, and went with Karli, she made him.
Jacob put his hands up, “I was going to tell you… Sooner or later…”
I gritted my teeth, “Sooner or later?! YOU PRACTICALLY PUT A ROCK ON MY FINGER AND PROPOSED WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE!”
Jacob cringed at my anger and then got down on one knee. I put a hand on my head, “Jacob, please get up.”
He shook his head and grinned, “Hand please.”
I gave him a warning look but he took it anyways, “Rebecca will you-” He was cut off as Karli rushed in the room, “Its Annabelle! Help!”
I blinked and ran towards the other room, Jacob was at my heels. When we got in the room Annabelle was knocked out on the couch, I glared, “What the Hades happened?”
Maggie stepped up silently, “She just fainted… We don’t know… Can you feel her mind?”
I touched it, it was like she was dreaming, but she wasn’t breathing, this was not a good sign.
Jacob looked at me worriedly, I was already knelt down beside Anna, I would try to heal her of it killed me. Putting one hand on her heart, a black pulse emanated from my hand and she gasped. Her eyes flickered and I tried again with all my strength, before I passed out from energy loss, she smiled at me.

Jacob was ‘giving me CPR’ again when I awoke. I pushed him away with my hand and he sighed, “You can be out for quite a while.”
I pursed my lips together, “Did I beat my record for a month?”
“Nope.”
I grinned, “Then It couldn’t be that long.”
“Two hours.”
I nodded, “Nice. How’s Anna?”
Anna came into view smiling, “Happy! Thanks for saving me.”
I shrugged, “Nothing to it, what exactly happened?”
Branch blushed, “I- uh – Fainted.”
I grinned, “It’s fine Anna; there’s nothing wrong with that.”
Jacob helped me up with one hand and then motioned for Anna to leave, she scrambled off grinning and I blushed as Jacob got down on one knee once more.
“I’m only going to say this one more time, Jacob please get up.”
He shook his head, “And I’m only going to ask this one time.” He paused for dramatic effect and then asked, “Rebecca, Will you marry me?”
Chapter One: Part Two - Spoiler:
I was frozen.
I couldn’t move, I couldn’t breath.
Jacob stared up at me expectantly and I blinked once. “Is that a yes? I don’t speak blink.” Jacob asked grinning.
I blinked again and then nodded slowly, “Y-Yes.”
Jacob grinned and got up; he swept me up in his arms and twirled me around like he had down after I had defeated Matthew, except, this time he kissed me softly. I blushed and got light headed as our friends flooded into the room grinning and clapping.
I blushed and tried to get out of Jacob’s grasp, but he just shifted that I was standing in front of him; he still had his arms around me and grinned.
Alex and Amanda were already back, they were grinning at us and Anna looked like she was about to burst. I read her mind and blushed a deep cherry red, “ANNA! I can’t believe you!”
Anna giggled and ran off to go get the present she had gotten us, she came back with a bag and grinned, “Here’s your dress!”
I blinked, “You, mean, you all knew?!”
Amanda grinned, “Yeah! Are you kidding me?! We knew the day he gave you the ring!”
I blushed and looked down, apparently I was slow.
I unzipped the bag and looked at the dress, at least Branch had me down, it was a plain teal/blue dress with different ruffles on the skirt. I looked at it and sighed, “I suppose you already have a date, or are we just going to Vegas?”
Jacob laughed, “We aren’t going to Vegas, and we do have it planned… We weren’t going to tell you until I proposed for real… but I gave you the ring early because I didn’t want anyone making a move on my girl.”
I blushed and he grinned at me.
Alex laughed, “Okay, Okay, now that Jacob has finally proposed, everything can go back to normal.”
I snorted, “Normal, Right. Nothing is ever normal for us.” I was right, because after I got those words out, the wall collapsed on my right side, it buried me and Jacob in the rubble and I heard shrieks from Annabelle and Sarah.
I amazingly didn’t get hurt and I pushed a couple smaller rocks off of me, there was one large one that I had to heave with my mind and my physical body. Alex looked at me with tears in her eyes, “Jacob…” she whispered and I instinctively looked to see where he was, I thought I saw a piece of his clothing under a rock and I let out a laugh, “This is a joke… Right?”
Amanda shook her head and I gritted my teeth and went over to the rock, trying to push it away. When I moved it enough to get the cloth out, it was just a ripped piece of his black shirt. I breathed slowly trying not to cry, “He’s fine, he probably just transported…”
Alex put her hand on my shoulder and I hit it off, she cringed back and looked down at the ground, “Who the Hades would do this?!”
Amanda looked away, “They left a note…”
I blinked, “Are you going to show it to me?”
She nodded and handed me a simple note that said, 'Hello Runa, if you every want Jacob back, then come and find me in the land of the Samurais.'
I blinked, “Crud. Are you serious?! Come on… I don’t have time for this!”
Maggie sighed, “We will go with you…”
I shook my head, “I work alone, no arguments, good-bye.”
Alex tried to reason with me but I shot her a glare, I got all my things together and shook my head, “I’m running, follow me, and Die.”
I left in a blur; I was the Night Owl again, changing my appearance as I ran a blur of black. I was off to find my destiny, it sounded odd in normal conversation, but that is what Jacob was, he was my destiny. Our fates always intertwined, like our hands always were six months ago, I could remember that day I saw him like it was yesterday, he had tackled me, hurt my arm… It had all played out from there.
I smiled softly, I had to find him, I needed to find him.
I started to run across the sea, I needed to get to Japan, I momentarily wondered if I would get a chance to try any cool food while I was there. I grinned; I would treat Jacob to whatever meal he wanted when I saved him, if I saved him. I hoped I would be able too, I hoped I would be strong enough. I wanted to be strong enough, I wanted to be tough.
Sighing, I continued to run, my things bouncing on my back, if I survived, he was so marrying me the second we got a chance. I wasn’t waiting any longer. My feet began to get tired but I pushed harder, I didn’t know where to transport, so I just ran until I reached the side of land, I had no idea where I was, but I didn’t really care, someone greeted me in French and I nodded, “Bonjour.”

| Chapter Two
- Spoiler:
“Parlez-vous Anglais?” I asked in French. The man nodded and I smiled, “Thank you, My French isn’t that good.”
He grinned, “My English, is not, good.”
I nodded, “Can you tell me where I am?”
“France.”
I cussed in Farsi, a very bad word I had picked up in spare time, I figured if I had to say something terrible, it might as well be in a different language. The man scuttled away and I ducked into an alley and changed my appearance, I looked like a regular French girl and I changed my clothes, I had a bunch of spares in my bag, packing light was not an option, but if I needed anything, I would steal, I had no problem with that anymore. My morals were gone the day I met Jacob.
Creeping out of the alley I blended in with the crowd, just a regular person, I needed to get to Japan, Jacob needed me, my vision flickered and I transported to the same alley before blacking out into my vision;
‘You’ve changed…’ Jacob’s voice sounded softly in my ear. I blinked in the vision; we were sitting on a Ferris wheel, on the top. I just smiled, ‘So have you.’ He grinned and hugged me from the side; I could hear everyone’s thoughts, one stood out from the others
‘Kill them!’
I screamed as the Ferris wheel stopped, it wasn’t about to start again, men scaled the sides, I tried to put a force field around Jacob and I and it worked… But I didn’t anticipate what came next…
My sight came back and I blinked, I was still in the alley, I had only been out for a few minutes, I must’ve woken myself up, the vision had cut off so abruptly.
I blinked again and then got up, I changed into a Japanese girl and then transported to Tokyo, Screw not transporting, I’d run to the mountains from there. I started to walk through the streets; I needed to get to the mountains, but then where? The note had just said to go to the land of the Samurais. I sighed and put my hands in my pockets, I had learned that I could temporarily change clothes with my powers. It was helpful.
I was walking when I bumped into a girl. She stumbled back and frowned, “Sorry Rebecca.”
I glared, “Darn! Misty!”
Misty frowned, “I’m sorry! I wanted to help… besides it Mai here.”
I rolled my eyes, “How were you going to help?”
Mai frowned, “I don’t know! Gosh Rebecca, get the stick out of your butt and let someone help you!”
I bit my lip, biting back lashing out and killing my immortal friend in front of witnesses. I glared, “There is no stick in my butt, now go back.”
Mai shook her head, “No-”
She cut off as I attacked her mind and then transported her, she messed with the bull, she got the horns.
I shook my head angrily and then started to run, Jacob was getting saved as soon as I got to the ‘land of the Samurais’. I grimaced and sighed as I ran, into the hills, over mountains, I was racing no one but myself. Sighing again, I skidded to a stop beside a tree, another freaking note, “Really?!” I shouted to the sky as I read it; ‘Jacob has been moved, to slow. Sorry. Try a land in the air.’
I huffed, “What the Hades is that supposed to mean?!”
Frowning, I tried to decode the message; this person was going to suffer terribly when I got my fiancé back.
I blacked out.

My eyes peeled themselves open, someone was giving me real CPR, I thought. I looked up, it was Justin, of course. I pushed him away and he flew back and hit a tree, “What the Hades?!” I screamed as I looked around, of course, all my friends were here.
Justin rubbed his head and Karli grimaced, “Are yo-”
I cut her off, “He’s fine. I’ve done that to Jacob loads of times, he can take it. Now explain to me why no one listens to me?”
Alex stepped up, “Well, Mai… She came back… Not very happy either… We all decided you needed help.”
I scoffed, “Is that what her name is now? Mai? Gosh, I always knew she was weird.”
I bit my tongue after saying the harsh words and looked down, “Sorry, this is getting to me, why did I black out again?” I asked softly.
Anna’s hand was on my shoulder, “Mai thought it would be best if you were knocked out while we came, it was all her idea!”
I grimaced, “Not, helping.” I started to pace, I just wanted Jacob back, I needed to whine to someone, I wanted to know that he was safe…
My mind came back to the task at hand as Justin grinned at me, “Alweinfang, if you don’t wipe that smirk off, I will shoot you.”
He grinned, “Nah, its fun torturing you.” Karli smacked him across the side of his head and chewed him out right then and there.
I grinned softly, ah Karli, she was the best. My smiled faded as Amanda stepped up, “Have you gotten anywhere with Jacob?”
I shook my head and then something miraculous happened, I heard his call in my mind, clear as day. I grinned and shouted back, he apparently could connect thoughts with me and I replied, ‘I’m fine, I need to know if you are… I love you; I’m trying my hardest to find you!’
Jacob’s smile came through his words as he whispered back, ‘I love you too, I’m on a mountain, I don’t know where…’ His thoughts trailed off and I sobbed as I lost the connection, Alex looked at me like I was mental or just being bipolar. I just shook my head and sat down on the cold hard ground, defeat was looming over my head.
Chapter Two: Part Two
- Spoiler:
I frowned as everyone tried to get me, up, I was accepting defeat and they were still hoping. Finally, I snapped, “Just leave me alone!” I shouted and put my head in my hands.
Anna’s voice rang softly, “I think she’s going through hysterics, let’s slap her!”
I groaned, “Please, just shut up.”
Anna frowned and muttered, “I was just suggesting it.”
I groaned quieter, “If I let you help me find him, Will you guys promise not to follow me again?”
Alex nodded as did everyone else and I sighed, “Let’s get this show on the road.”
Justin swept Karli up in his arms and grinned at me before turning and starting to run up the mountain, I was going to scope out every mountain until I found Jacob. Alex and Amanda were talking casually together, with Maggie and Mai. Arabelle and Britani were laughing hysterically as they chased each other up the side of the mountain; Tabatha and Marie were shaking their twin heads in unison and I swear I heard Marie mutter, “They really need to grow up.” I had to chuckle at her either, thought, or words. Sarah and Annabelle were acting like they were spies, shooting fake guns, and I chuckled again. I frowned as I realized, my Soulmate was gone, kidnapped. Sighing, I tried to locate Jacob’s mind again, I wanted to know he was alright; I needed to know who had done this…
‘Rebecca?’ I heard Jacob’s mind whisper. My heart skipped a beat as I replied, ‘Jacob?’
There was a bunch of shouts from mind to mind as we finally had a clear connection,
‘I think I’m getting closer to you…’
‘I’m not on a mountain like I though…’
‘Where are you?’
‘In the sky, you think your getting closer because you’re probably on the top of a mountain. Right?’
I nodded and then remember he couldn’t see me, ‘Yes, Wait, you’re in the sky?’
‘Yes, I can’t see much, just clouds, I’m in something metal.’
‘Hold on, I’m coming for you, everyone is with me, and we will save you.’ I muttered back and then yelled to Amanda and Alex, “He’s in the sky.” I said plainly and I thought Alex was going to put me in a white jacket until Amanda cussed loudly, I might add. Everyone was over by us in a second and I waited patiently for Amanda to explain. “Sorry,” She started, “I think I know where he is, I don’t know why, well, I do, but I won’t tell, that is between you and him.”
I blinked, “Okay, I’m ignoring that fact, I’ll jut get it out of you later. Now please tell me how we are getting up where ever he is.”
Amanda sighed, “That’s the problem, only five can go, each must go through five tasks and whichever gets to the end, gets to save Jacob. You will go, I will go… You choose the other three.”
I blinked and shook my head, “I am going, Amanda is going, Marie, Justin, and…” I trailed off, I had picked for each of their powers, I still didn’t know how I was getting up, I didn’t know if I could fly, but Marie was Light, Justin was a shape shifter, Amanda was storms, And I needed one more person. My mind ran through the rest of my friends, I didn’t want to hurt feelings so I said, “The last person going is… Anna.” I didn’t know why I chose her, but I just needed to know that I had a friend going with me.
She smiled at me and Alex smiled also, “Alright! We will make camp here and then wait for your return! Now let’s get started!”
I smiled softly and Justin turned into a hawk, Amanda floated up in the air with a wind current, Maria did the same, except she looked like she was an angel the way the light covered her, Anna just smiled and floated up with her wind powers. I cocked my head to the side and Amanda just smiled down, “You know what you have.” I nodded, somehow I did. Suddenly, Large black feathered wings came out from my back, they had violet tips and I smiled and flew up slowly, I probably looked like the Angel of Darkness, because that was about what I was. I changed my hair to jet black with violet highlights and messed with my eyes until they were violet. I looked like an RP character I had made.
Annabelle smiled, “Pretty!”
I grinned and Amanda led the way into the clouds, I was going to save Jacob, no matter if I died after I did.

| Chapter Three
My wing beats were slowly the only noise as our small group went higher and higher in the clouds. I flew beside Anna most of the way but slowly made my way to the head of our group with Amanda. She had her eyes closed as I came up beside her and I smiled softly, “Amanda?”
She nodded and looked at me, “Hum?”
“Where exactly are we going…?” I asked looking at her skeptically.
“High into the clouds, there are another special type of human hybrids, they have wings and are about two percent bird, they all live together in the sky, they have never liked the Immortals because unlike us, they only have their flight, there is truly nothing special about them, they were shunned from the mortal and human world a long time ago.” Amanda explained and I gulped, “Joy”.
She laughed quietly, “You will probably fit in better than the rest of us. You have your wings, as long as you stay exactly the way you are and read their minds, we should be safe… I should warn you though, the tasks, are always the same, they change in themselves though. Number one is the easiest, and then you go all the way to the hardest which is number five. If you don’t complete some, you can die.”
I gulped, “I should have brought Karli.”
She smiled softly and then a giant kingdom made up of clouds came into view, It was my time to make peace and get Jacob back.
We fell into place, I led the way to the city’s gates, and Amanda was behind me, then Marie, Justin, and Anna. Anna was the last, she was small, but very strong, her wind could knock them all away if we had to leave quickly.
A girl approached us, she was about my age, I could tell, she didn’t block her thoughts and I smiled softly, she was wary of us, but she seemed nice enough. The girl’s hair was long and blonde with brown speckles and her wings were tan-ish blonde with the same brown speckles. “Hello,” She greeted in a strong voice, “I am Blankfeather.”
I couldn’t help but let my jaw drop, “Blankfeather… On RPC?” I asked appalled.
She nodded briskly, “Yes, how did you know?”
I grinned, “I’m RUNA!”
Blankfeather almost tackled me but she turned to my company, “Are they…?” She motioned with her hand as to ask if they were members too.
I nodded, “Amanda is Stormfeather, Marie is Khalamari, Justin is Alweinfang, and Annabelle is Branch.”
Blankfeather grinned, “This is a surprise! How did you know…?”
I gulped, “I didn’t, we believe you have something of mine, my f-” I tried to choke the word out but Amanda finished for me, “Her Fiancé, He is Jacob on RPC and Jacob in real life. We are Immortals. We need him back.”
Blankfeather nodded softly, her feathered hair falling in her face, “We have him, I know of who you speak of; I am sorry… I don’t have the kind of power to just give him to you directly, but I can send you into the tasks, I am the task keeper. Don’t worry. I promise to help.”
I smiled, “Thank you so much, do you have a name other than Blankfeather?” I asked at the end purely wondering.
She nodded, “Of course! That is just my ‘bird’ name, my real name is Robin, and it’s ironic, because I have nothing red about me. I am part hawk and sparrow.”
I nodded, “Okay Robin. Thank you for the help, we should go ahead and get to the tasks, I would really like to have Jacob back.”
Robin nodded softly, “Follow me, you know the rules, the first task is a simple riddle, whoever doesn’t get it stays behind.”
I nodded and we all lined up, Justin had shape shifted so he just had hawk wings, he needed to be able to speak.
Robin smiled softly, “Here is your riddle; Walk on the living, they don't even mumble. Walk on the dead, they will crumble. What am I?”
I knew the answer at once and I wrote it on the piece of paper that had appeared in front of me.
Amanda wrote her answer next, and then Justin, Annabelle, last was Marie.
Robin told us to turn our papers around, I was right, it was Leaves, Justin, Marie, and Annabelle was all right too.
Amanda didn’t figure it out, she was left behind, I smiled softly to her and Robin took us towards a forest, I already knew the next task from her mind, it was an unfair advantage, but it was an advantage.
The next task was almost as easy as the first, all we had to do was identify three things wrong with a very detailed picture, but Justin was gone at the end. We went a few leagues into the cloud forest for the third task.
The third task, it was agility, Robin quickly explained, “Whoever jumps to the top of the tree last is out… GO!”
Marie and I jump simultaneously but Annabelle used the wind to get to the top right after me, Marie was a second to late and she was out. It was Annabelle and I left for the fourth task.
Robin smiled, “Congratulations!” She led us deeper into the forest of clouds and then said, “Your task next is to turn one of these clouds into a real tree.” I blinked and then frowned. Annabelle and I neither had powers to make something what it wasn’t; maybe I could use an Illusion…
Annabelle was staring at her tree and I was contorting mine into the illusion of a real tree, it was so realistic, Robin stopped and grinned, “You win Rebecca… I am sorry Annabelle. You can go back to your friends.”
I nodded and smiled softly at Annabelle’s wary face, “Don’t worry, I’ll come out with Jacob.” Annabelle nodded and walked back towards the entrance to the forest.
Robin smiled softly and then took me deep into the forest where the clouds slowly turned to real trees, flying was still mandatory if you didn’t want to fall through the cloud, but I was appalled that there would ever be real trees. Soon there were giant hedges coming into view. Robin nodded, “The last task, it’s a giant labyrinth, there are things that you wouldn’t even think existed in here, you fail, you don’t come out alive, in the center, that is where you will find Jacob. When I say the center, I mean it. You have as long as you like to get Jacob and get out alive, good luck Runa.”
I nodded and blinked as I walked towards the entrance, a giant hedge curved into an arch, I stepped through and it disappeared behind me, this was going to be interesting.

I was being chased. This wasn’t good, the hoof-beats behind me were enough to make my skin crawl, no Minotaur was behind me, it was some evil Pegasus. I know that doesn’t sound very scary, but when it’s jet black and has red eyes with flames for a mane and tail, and it’s hoofs leave trails of fire, you get the crud scared out of you.
The ear splitting shriek came from its mouth again and I cringed, I was seriously going to have to take this thing down because I sure as heck wasn’t going to let it kill me with its flaming breath.
I kept my wing beats fast as I summoned all my strength for a mental attack, this animal wasn’t dumb, it had the IQ of Justin and Jacob smashed together, they were smart too. I attacked full on and the animal shrieked before disappearing, at least I knew there was a way to eliminate them, maybe if I eliminated it, it wouldn’t come back. I continued on slower, I had no idea where I was, it was- I cut my thoughts off, I was an idiot, a pure idiot. I gathered my strength again and closed my eyes, melting into my mind and sending a message to my group of friends that were waiting for me, Come deep into the woods, there is a giant labyrinth, fly overtop of it and send me thoughts and pictures, I need to get to the center, Jacob is there, you can’t come in, but Help! Soon! I received comforting thoughts back and grinned, I had help, this should- ‘Crud.’ I muttered, there was another sound, and I saw its source, in front of me. A giant lion was growling and crouched low, it was a light crimson in its coat and I was pretty sure it wasn’t a very friendly lion. It pounced.
