Echo yelped as she turned her head around. Her back hind leg was bleeding heavily from a cut she had gotten from a bramble bush. She sighed and layed down in the brush.

Maksim padded through his new territory.

(BTW: Maksim is pronounced Max- em.)

Echo scented the air. There was a strong scent of another coyote. She whimpered and licked her wound furiously, hoping the scent would not spread.

Maksim came into view. "I'm not here to fight." He said calmly. "What's wrong with your leg?" He asked. Sniffing the wound.
