Swimming freely under the river, you haven't a care in the world. Suddeny, you collide with a scruffy black she-otter. You both emerge on the surface.
"Hey! These are my waters!" she spits out angrily. Then her eyes soften,"I'm Jet. Would you like to join my colony?"

Okay, I'm not sure how otters live, and I read about an otter colony in a book. Wolf positions here, guys.

Jet padded down the river bank, with her brother Oceancloud. They were following the scent-trail of two she-otters.

((Actually, otters are very violet creatures at times, they are very territorial and will usualy kill other otters. But let's not get into that :D ))
