DawnClan (yes, again...): Rise

As all good Clan RPs start with a prophecy or intro of sorts, here is mine:

A new kind of fever was spreading throughout the Clans. It was deadly, and contagious, but was spread through fleas, not air. It was thought to have been brought to the Clans by a kittypet straying from home. Once infected, a cat would:
-Vomit
-Lose their appetite
These two common symptoms would eventually lead to starvation, or dehydration. And dehydration would lead to the cat entering a lethargic, comatose-like state, even hypothermia if it's cold weather and their temperature drops enough. StarClan doesn't want to see the Clans end like this, so weak and feeble, so they must tell the Clans what they need to know to stop it. But will that be enough?

ATTENTION: AMONG THE TWOLEGS, THIS FEVERISH DISEASE IS KNOWN AS FELINE DISTEMPER. I WOULD PUT OTHER SYMPTOMS AND WAYS IT WOULD BE PASSED TO OTHER CATS, BUT THEY ARE VERY YUCKY. SO.

After a chilly night of rain, it's good to feel the warm breeze in your fur. The temperature will probably be comfortably warm, but come nightfall will drop slightly. It looks to be a dry, sunny day, and the ground has already soaked up all the rain so that there's a good place to lie down.

Name: Snowstripe

Description: A pure white she-cat with faint gray stripes and light green eyes and long fangs. (picture:)

Personality: Snowstripe is extremely persistent in hunting and fighting, but she won't break the warrior code to get what she wants. Adamant-natured, she works to find good and bad points in different options before making a decision. She prefers to be sneaky rather than assertive, and knows that the good point to leaf-bare is the snow in which she can camouflage. Outside of battle, Snowstripe is very calm, even a bit aloof and impassive. She tends to hide her feelings about everything, although deep inside she feels like she values her Clanmates.
Full-Character Description For The Clan List: An impassive white she-cat with faint gray stripes and light blue-green eyes. She is extremely sneaky and strategic, and also hopes to one day be deputy.

Personality: Fun-loving and sarcastic, she doesn't take things very seriously, and would rather play then train. Some describe her as lazy.
Full-Character Description For The Clan List (as long as you want!): A mottled silver she-cat with icy eyes; she loves to play and have fun. Work is hard for her, but she'll do it without too much complaint...usually...
Kin: Unknown; she was found during a storm near a twoleg den when she was barely more than a newborn kit.

Personality: Determined and strong, but not unkind. He comes across as tough and hard, but he's just trying to make himself and his clan appear as strong as possible. He rarely shows his emotions, but if you watch him carefully you'll see him stop to watch a beautiful sunset, smile at playful kits, or laugh at the antics of the apprentices. He's trying very hard to be a good leader.
Full-Character Description For The Clan List (as long as you want!): A large, powerful-looking orange and black tom with many battle scars. He appears vicious, but he's an old softie on the inside.
Kin: He's older, so his parents are unfortunately gone, and he lost his brother in a long-past battle. You might say he lost his brotherly love.

Personality: Nightwhisker is sort of talkative and casual. He's also a tiny bit naive, but it's not really noticeable even if someone has ten conversations with him over the course of the month. Mainly, he's an enthusiastic fighter, but he has a somewhat calm personality while in camp.

Burnedstar left his den and padded into the early morning sunlight. The night had been cool, filled with the kind of rain that made a warrior curl into as tight a ball as he could, just to keep the dampness away. Stretching, the powerful tom let his claws sink into the ground, which was now mostly dry, and then sat to give himself a quick wash.

Berrypaw heard the morning birds chirping and knew she should get up. But she was feeling stiff anf lazy after the night of rainfall, and so she simply resettled herself in her nest and yawned before falling back to sleep.

Oh, and another thing, Berrypaw needs a mentor, I just realized. You can pick.


Blazewhisker sat up in the warriors' den, blinking his eyes as his vision came into focus. He licked a paw and drew it swiftly over each spray of whiskers before stretching and padding into the clearing. Stopping to observe the scene, he quickly thought up a border patrol: Nightwhisker, Snowstripe, and Berrypaw could go. A little exercise in the morning would do good for that apprentice. he thought with a smile, and started towards the apprentices' den.

Snowstripe's light green eyes slid open slowly. Remembering the dream of the dark alley that she had had the other night, the white tabby shivered. Her mother had been a rogue but was brought into the Clan soon before Snowstripe was born. The she-cat quickly drew a paw over her ear, trying to clear the memory away. To soothe herself, she gazed up at the light blue sky, her ears pointing towards the clouds. The warrior flexed her shoulders, then stood up, noticing Blazewhisker a fox-length or two away.

Whoopsies, I fixed it. ^_^" And how about Snowstripe, if you two both agree?

Blazewhisker stopped just short of the apprentices' den before he noticed a flash of soft white fur in the warriors' den. He caught Snowstripe's eye and flicked his tail, motioning for her to come over. "Hey," he mewed. "How about a border patrol?"

Snowstripe turned around as she felt someone touch her shoulder. It was just Blazewhisker, she realized. "Oh. Of course," she replied, lowering her head slightly. If she didn't go on patrols, she couldn't be deputy. But she didn't want the leader to die either. She wanted to seem organized, at least, so she stood up straight.

((We're trying to decide on Berrypaw's mentor. And Snowstripe is fine with me if she agrees.))

"Picking patrols Blazewhisker?" Burnedstar meowed, padding over with his tail high in greeting to the two warriors.

Berrypaw heard the other cats talking outside and snuggled into a tighter ball. She didn't want to go out, but that wasn't much of a change. She knew somewhere in the back of her drowsy mind that once she got moving she'd find herself filled with energy, but lying in the warm nest was her priority now.

Nightwhisker watched the activities from afar, in the corner of the camp. He groomed himself impassively, pretending to notice nothing going on. He usually had his eyes closed, but occasionally he peeked out of his peripheral vision. Maybe he should strike up a conversation.

Berrypaw flinched at the deputy's voice. She had been hoping she'd be allowed some extra sleep time, but that was incredibly rare. So, she forced herself to sit up and stretch, give herself a quick wash to smooth down her sleep-tousled fur, and leave the den drowsily.
"What's up?" She asked with a yawn.
