The next morning was a quiet one. The sky was a relaxing grey, and soft rain spattered the thirsty territory of the Clans. Fallenstar awoke with a start when a leaf that had fallen earlier that night and collected rain tipped over into her nest. The ashy tabby shook out her fur and poked her head outside the ferns surrounding the broken bench of her den. "Leaf-fall is here!" she yawned, looking around. Bright reds and oranges and golds were spilled on the earth, a few casually fluttering in the gusts of rain.

Sagepaw, having gone to sleep late after her search for Otterpaw, lifted her head groggily and shook a curled up leaf from her head. She noticed leaves had fallen all around the den when she looked out, and she yawned. It was cool, and gray, so she felt even more tired. With another yawn, she settled her head back down, covered her face with one paw, and drifted back to sleep.

Vixen

Whispwind yawned and laid her head on her paws. She thought about last night. It was so weird without the other ShadowClan cats. She curled her tail over her paws and closed her eyes again.
Songpaw sat by the entrance of his den. He blinked and watched the leaves fall around him.

Fallenstar rounded up the warriors for the morning when the rain began to ebb. "Anyone for the dawn patrol? Sootpelt, you can lead." she prodded the few still-sleeping masses of fur.

Despite her tiredness, Sagepaw was now too awake to go back to sleep. So she sat up and stretched, gave herself a quick grooming, and glanced over at the nest where Robinfur was still sleeping.
"Lazy old elder." She murmured softly. She used to tease Robinfur like that all the time, but she hadn't for a while. With a yawn, Sagepaw padded out of the den, paused in the entrance to shake the clinging bits of moss from her spotted coat, and then headed for the fresh-kill pile.

Leopardstrike nuzzled Snakefoot before cantering out to meet the patrol.
He smiled, leaf-fall was the best season for the kits.
They would love all the leaves.

SagePath yawned as a leaf dwindled down to his paws outside the den.
He could feel it slightly brush his nose and smelled the crisp, dry scent.
The black and white tom stretched, and padded outside.

When she was confident there was a stable patrol getting ready to leave, Fallenstar trotted over to Sagepaw, a rabbit in her jaws. "Morning." she dropped it in front of them, and found a comfortable position before digging in. Her stomach growled as she took the first bite.

Sagepaw, having chosen a sparrow for herself, was just settling down to begin eating when Fallenstar settled down in front of her. "Good morning Fallenstar, sleep well?" Sagepaw asked, taking a bite of her sparrow.

Fallenstar smiled as she swallowed. "I did. Did you?" she replied, flicking a falling leaf with her tail tip.
